    the big kicker is gas mpg for me 380 mile range compared to up to 460 mile range; which one is better for a cross country road trip?

    Nice informative comparison Review ! I have a 22 MDX Advance on a 6 month lease extension until Feb 2025. I'm being teased with a new 25 A-Spec Advance However, the $$$$$$ is Too big . Concerning is comments made on Acura Forums that the new Touchscreen InfoT. sys is inviting BUT it is totally Cell Phone relienat and the maps are difficult to see at Night especially.... No Sirius/EM Reciever or Antenna !! You now must use Phone Apps to get XM radio....... I'm ending to exercise the Buyout on my 22 MDX which will be $35,400 (plus Taxes) = est of $38,000. It has only 22K Miles on it!!

    Message to Acura! Please make Sport Hybrid version🙏🏼 ( RLX Sport Hybrid was great but had outdated interior, infotainment and wasn’t an SUV ) and change bang&Olufsen to ELS or AKG. And get rid off black shiny plastic at least at more expensive Type-S version, it should differ more from less expensive version. Add arm rest for second row seats when middle seat is removed, otherwise it is unfinished solution. 1 more thing, I’d like to be changed in future is usual shifter for gear box instead of buttons, maybe it is even better to move to the same system as Mercedes has ( gear shift under steering column )

      Yes, Acura has Missed The Boat.... They had a terrific 2018-2020 Sport Hybrid MDX. In 2019 I had that opportunity to lease one but ended with a MDX Advance. It was dropped in 2021 and of course with the new Redeigned 2022 MDX. Big Mistake. The previous Sport Hybrid did Not sell well and therefore they dropped it. But that was different time . I traded my 19 MDX to a 22 MDX Advance on a Acura Trade Up program which included a $1K loyalty. Now that 22 MDX lease has expired on August 20 - I extended that lease for 6 months. I'm currently "looking and Considering " a 25 MDX A-Spec Advance. Not only is the price BIG, so is the new lease rates resulting in big Monthly payment increase. My Buyout by February is $35,400 (reducing from $38,500 by about $500 per month during this 6 month extension). That has become very inviting to do. I only have 22.5 K miles on my MDX !!

    When I bought my 2024 TLX Tech in April 2024, I asked the dealer about the trims of the MDX. He said it made sense for the Integra and TLX but he said these trims for the MDX were “silly”. He said at their location they only saw sales of the “base” MDX and the Tech trim and only rarely had any interest in the other trims. Honestly when I have seen these in parking lots they are NEVER the aSpec or Type S.

    • @VagabondBuilds
      @VagabondBuilds  Місяць тому

      They are family cars and not sport cars so that’s why I think people don’t care for the sport aspect of them.

    Type S needs a 20 inch tire option. Trust me, those low profile tires would not last a winter here in Pennsylvania.

    I have the Type S and I feel that the Type S exterior should been much more agressive that the A spec. Something should say "hey, i spent way more on this over the A spec". Thats just me though...

      @davidjones2059 3 місяці тому +1

      I love the TypeS. The A spec was anemic and not the same comfortable ride. We have 2 ‘24 Type S models.

    • @alexandermaliy3515

      Exterior & interior should differ more from regular model. No shiny plastic for Type-S for example

    I have a 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid with 321hp and 25-27 mpgs always from a 19.4 gal gas tank. Just wasn't enough bump in hp/tq, tech, luxury, and drop in mpgs to trade for the Type-S at a higher price. I wish Acura would have added the Sport hybrid powertrain to the Type-S (420 hp/tq, 22-24 mpgs always, near 5 sec 0-60 times). It was only $1500 MSRP for the previous gen MDX to add this powertrain.

    Aside from air suspension, single turbo with 355 HP, both cars look similar. If i own a type S, i want mu car to feel special and or unique. The A-spec advance does not make sense, there is Absolutely NO performance, other than asthetics and some additional interior changes.
    This has been a huge failure for Acura because they could have given us somethign like the Type S, just more HP than the other trims. Acura fans would have loved it. Now we have an advance that has nothing advance about it, it actually seems like a trim that needs to be removed all together if they want Type S to sell. Bad news is that Type S is NOT selling. Acura has a lot MDX’s at dealers and with a real shittie infotainment , nobody wants the 2024 models. Truth is Acura is lagging and there is nothing their Marketing Team can do for now. The 2025 got a mild refresh but nothing else, performance for all the ither trims below type S, really went out the window. By the way my 2011 MDX has 300HP, and its a base model with SH- AWD, that was when the MDX had some real power.

    We have a '23 A-spec. Wish it had a lil more power. Gave our daughter our'14 Mdx. It is way more fun to drive than our '23.But we love them both.

    • @VagabondBuilds

  • @aaronyoung6903
    @aaronyoung6903 4 дні тому

    I think the A-spec Advance is the one to get. The engine is gonna be more reliable. Overall, it will be more reliable. Type-s has air ride. Air ride is the devil. Those 21 inch wheels look goofy. Looks like a cheap aftermarket wheel you bought from your local tire shop.

      Obviously if you are ok with the RAV4 you would be stupid to buy the MDX. There really is no comparison. Some of us need more room, and prefer much more refinement.
