  • Aloha to you all. In this video I’m on the hunt to find this very unique wonderful naturally occurring arch on the shoreline, located on the very popular Red Road on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii. I finally find it and have a day spent in one of the most beautiful spots in the world ever. Feeding little piglets, and also watching a gorgeous moonrise out of the ocean is also happening. There is a run in with the police, why? Long story but I promise you’ll see in the video and how that turned out. Thank you for watching and being here.
    Credit to Tyler Ronney for the beautiful video of the Arch located on the red road. Thank you for your permission to post it in my video.

    Thank you for being real. I feel there is a significant energy pulling me to move to Hawaii someday, but I want to make sure if I do, it is for the right reasons and that I understand it is not all sunshine and rainbows all the time.
    I think many people look to a move like that to escape some negative realities. I think it is important for folks to share the good AND the bad parts of living in Hawaii. Yes, you can actually break your finger in paradise 😊 and not everyone is friendly, welcoming, or acting with good intention.
    I really appreciate your videos and you giving me a window into what life might be like for me if I end up making the move someday.
    You are a very sweet, caring person. I am glad you have good neighbors and that you look out for each other. Stay safe and take care of yourself.

      I too may be moving to the big island, it is quite a draw. But I had a friend, her and her husband retired, sold the house and moved to paradise park. After a year and a half they moved back, due to all the rain and humidity, and problems with doctors and medications. East Hawaii is all rainforest! That’s the only thing that is holding me back from moving, so far.

      Aloha to you and thank you for your comment. There is definitely the good the bad and the ugly anywhere in the world you live. I’ve lived in San Diego most of my life, and there is definitely the same good bad and ugly over there as well. Living in Hawaii has certainly been very peaceful and there is, a different vibe in the air that you just can’t feel like you could help it but feel happy. The fact remains that drugs are a problem in almost every society and here in Pahoa. It’s no different with that comes a lot of crimes. All we can do is find a way to protect ourselves and I think I have learned a valuable lesson here. The reason I have a house here is truly because Hawaii kept calling me so strongly and so loudly it was deafening at times. so I tried to find the safest place I could and settle and I am 90% happy with my decision. It is funny how you said you can break your finger even in paradise so true.😁. Thank you so much for watching and I hope to hear from you again in the next videos

      Aloha to you and thank you for your comment. It is very true about the humidity and the rain here and we live in a big rainforest. However, the west side of big island which is Kona is much much much drier. It actually looks very desert like but they have green belts as well or it looks more like Hawaii, that might be an option if you find yourself finally wanting to move one day on the east side yes we have daily rains and humidity but to me that’s what Hawaii is like and I personally love it and I take it with everything that comes in the package. Thank you so much for watching and have a beautiful day

    Lesson learned. I’ve visited the Big Island a couple of times back in the day, while living on Oahu in the 80’s. So glad you’re enjoying your tropical surroundings. There’s a level of sketch everywhere that we, unfortunately, must be hyper aware of. Your kind heart shines through in your videos & messages. Mahalo for sharing your experiences. Much Aloha!

    What a fabulous site to witness the pink moon rising and the sun setting “ or the unique tilt of the earth axis “ I’m still trying to wrap my head around the possibilities of me being a lunatic!!!! or rather following the the celestial bodies as such 😅 certainly I am having the time to witness these generational phenomena’s there certainly are many privileges to reaching this age of awareness “ maturity “ besides just having a lot of character lines in one face! 😖 ….. absolutely mesmerizing your view that was recorded 🤗

I am planning another visit (and possible move) there so I will keep watching & following for all the good things to do and to stay connected with this true paradise on earth also so sorry for what happened to you & don’t be so hard on yourself; lessons come at unexpected times in unexpected ways, fortunately it was none other than a scare!! much Aloha 🌈🤙🏾

When we go through scare like this, it’s hard to remember that, but once I calm down, I did realize that it had to be learned, it made me happy For hearing that my videos give you a sense of being there. Thank you for taking time to say that. It means a lot to me. I hope to hear from you in the next videos.

    Glad to hear you have your peaceful bubble again. I have heard from HVERI podcast yesterday how law and order is deteriorating in Pahoa area so please be careful. Your kind heart shone through but those evil men cast a dark shadow on your soul. Shame on them. Hope you were able to give a good description of them to the police. Sooner or later they will break the law and get what is deserving to them. You have hopefully shared the security camera footage with the police.

    Such another lovely video. So glad that nothing happened during the encounter with these people. I am surprised that the police showed so quickly because typically it may take 40 minutes on a 911 call. These people are typically from an off-grid corner property on the "O" streets of the HB side, about five streets up from your location. I won't say too much to expose any locations for privacy sake. Barb would know, its the property where the woman passed away because of the powerline fell on her car three years ago. The occupant is a respectable person, but the many other transient type people that frequent the hut are shady. Again, thank you for another wonderful video. Being stuck on a mainland work assignment for more than a year is hard and I find peace at least viewing videos of my neighborhood. Thank you so much again.

    Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful life with me. PunaHeads is the name my brother calls those people in the van. You’re lucky to have Barb so close. Squatting is a Hugh problem in Puna. The rules to protect yourself from squatters is a lot. He has put pull a fence with a gate and no trespassing sign. If they want to leave the island to visit family they always get a house sitter. Maybe I will run into you when it is my turn to watch his place. Sending love and light

      Aloha to you and thank you so much for your kind comment. I am definitely thinking of putting a fence around my house. I was told that squatting is a problem and I make sure I have a sitter when I am not in town. Sure, we got good, bad and ugly everywhere in the world and, every place has its own set of issues and has its own as well, but it was a good lesson that I learned and I’m grateful for that. Do you have any back up? Security cameras? I have cameras outside my house that capture the entire property line. Cameras that capture every inch of the outside of the house, cameras hidden inside the house. My back up comes in 32 and 38 caliber, and 12 gauge. I also have a couple cans of bear spray and a large sharp hunting knife, and a stun gun. My house had been broken into several times and I no longer felt safe. I think the absolute biggest deterrent has been the cameras. Since they were installed I have had no more break ins. Also if you have security cameras that send a signal or picture to law enforcement you can qualify for a discount on your homeowner’s insurance. I practiced Buddhism for 18 years. It breaks my heart to have to have firearms to feel safe and protected, but seeing things clearly, the world, at least the USA, has become unsafe for anyone who is vulnerable, and even those who aren’t. It’s a wonder our state department doesn’t issue a warning to visiting travelers. Aloha!

    • @Nastaran.Battles
      @Nastaran.Battles  12 днів тому +1

      Aloha to you and I’m so sorry that you have had actual break-ins in your place. This event really shook me. I had one security camera in front of my house, but after this happened now I have one in the house and several around the house that I can access on my phone, even if I’m not home so, that makes me a little more secure. Getting a pepper spray or a bear spray is certainly a good idea as well. Specially if I go for a walk, I can understand how it goes against all your Buddhism beliefs to do that but you have to do what you have to do in order to survive, don’t feel bad about that. Mahalo for your beautiful comment and for watching it would be great. I can hear from you again in the next videos.
