I love that Gordon has a genuine interest in learning, he goes in open minded despite being an acclaimed chef to truly learn how different cultures make food. That makes him a true master chef and not just a 'celebrity' chef. He learns the authentic way to do things and actually gets his hands/and feet dirty and puts his ego aside to learn. I really love Gordon.

true. this is a fantastic and likeable trait. Other chefs go to school and call it a day and assume they're the preeminent experts in anything and everything. This open-mindedness echoes the mentality of Bourdain which I absolutely support.

Gordon is the better chef though if we’re basing it on accolade’s Bourdain would happily admit that i think he might’ve when he visited gordons restaurant when he was in his prime. I went to Maui on a solo vacation and I will let you know the food I got was the best food I ever ate. I don’t even like fish and the whole week I was there I did nothing but eat fish. I had fish Benedict!!! I still dream about it. Nothing like sitting beach side sipping an amazing cocktail and fish Benedict. Pure bliss. I totally recommend farm to table experience if you can! The food amazing yet again. Savory, delicious, I believe I found it on Airbnb experiences. I would seriously go back just for the fish, alongside that the place is just amazingly beautiful. The flight time- horrible, the gas prices insane and the fact I agree we are pushing the natives out (I’m sorry 😭) still, it was a beautifully moving experience. I will say lastly though, the more you are in the thick of it outside tourism - the smaller and smaller the roads get lol. I will never forget going through the winding roads, only the size of one car easily on a 2 lane road!!!!!

Aloha & Welcome to the ialand of Maui Mr. Ramsay!
As a Mauian Born and raised here, I can personally say the old school Kanaka Maoli out in Hana is the one place here on Maui that can show you what traditional Hawaiian cooking is all about😋! You obviously did your homework and research! Because of it's history and the location, it's considered to be the purest part of the island, mostly inhabited by locals and almost untouched by greedy outside developers. Hana is as pure as it gets! Lush produce + old school Hawaiian Style recipes = OnO Grindz😋🤙!~~cc

As a Native Hawaiian I have learned that the taro (kalo in Hawai’i) is an ancestor. so when taking care of it you need to have clean energy, mind, and language! any negative energy the taro you grow won’t taste good and won’t be as healthy.

Wow nice to see you in Hawaii Mr. Gordon Ramsay. Enjoy watching Kimi’s channel also. She’s one of the best divers I’ve seen. I’ve seen Polynesians eating fish raw like a lot and I did not even realize it before. Enjoy 👍

Else..use the between ripe and unripe breadfruit..slice it bout a sentimeter thick..mix flour+tapioca flour+salt+tumeric powder (tea tablespoon)+water..dip the sliced breadfruit and deep fried it untill golden..trust me..for the dip, soy sauce+garlic(sautee it untill golden), chilli (birds eye chili would be the first choice)+sugar+salt+msg..using pestle and mortar..smash the garlic and chilli along with sugar+salt+msg untill it comes to a paste consistancy..then add the soy sauce..dip the fried breadfruit for the dipping..trust me
