The fact that I have a relative who flipped their car while DUI during the 90s and the cassette he put in was playing "highway to hell" right when he crashed. He survived by miracle of Volvo's standards on car safety (which was still kinda novel at the time). And now he's sober, too. But still, it is crazy how many people have gotten killed in less violent accidents, but this guy got maybe some skin abrasions after going at least 75 mph in a twisty-turny 25 zone one night when the nose met a guardrail at the bottom of the hill and landed upside down in somebody's backyard.
"I'm not a good driver." That was awesome. I respect her wanting to be old and having fun when she dies. And of course not see it coming. Taylor, you're great at getting people to say great stuff. I wish I had been sitting close to the front when I saw your show. I had some good answers to some of your questions. My nephew didn't want to sit close to the front and the tickets were his Christmas present, so we didn't.

Well, ironically, dying on a rollercoaster also shuts down the rollercoaster for other people, sometimes permanently, even if it wasn't anything wrong with the machine.

I feel like the audience that an established comic has attracted and cultivated-the types of people who want to come out to that comic’s shows-says at least a tiny little bit about the comic themselves… and man, Taylor’s fanbase just generally seems really really likeable.
For sure! Her shows are full of a very definite cohort of people. The proportion of people in therapy at the show I went to was amazing! And insomniacs and introverts and medicated people etc. The crowd work is amazing as she gets such a reliable type of audience you get some incredible answers to the questions and prompts she chooses! Imagine crowd work about mental health medications and therapy in a generic comics crowd.. it would be so likely to completely flop! You'd need to ask a could 5 people before you find someone relevant. Plus Taylor is super nice and makes it very clear her crowd work is an opt in thing and assures she won't pick anyone or pressure them to answer if they aren't comfortable or they suddenly panic. She's aware half her audience are introverts eith anxiety 😅
Someone actually designed a rollercoaster for this! Its called the "euthanasia coaster" and it has seven progressively tighter loops so that the G-force gradually increases until you pass out.

I can’t remember what it was called but it was basically a huge drop followed by loops that gradually got smaller. So if that ever got built she could have her wish 😂

At some point during her later years (104-106) she didn’t want to live anymore, dementia onset (which is fair at that point, your neurons are degraded) unable to care for herself (she lived on her own, because she wanted to, until the age of 95 when she finally agreed to be moved to a nursing home near my home) So how did she die? She gave up, refused to eat and drink, took her about 2 days to die from the time she gave up. Her final words were still a meme “Niels (my father, her youngest son), you have whipped cream in your entire face” She had regained lucidity for a few moments but not enough to realise she was looking at my, white, fluffy dog, with my dad standing behind her, so to her it looked like marshmallow fluff/whipped cream
