This is the one thing I've noticed about women comedians. They don't seem to need to breathe. Like, guy comedians take huge pauses, drink water here and there, spend inordinate amounts of time talking slowly or just straight up pausing at the audience. This woman talks for five minutes and I feel like I got 30 minutes worth of information. This is crazy. Her transitions are incredible. Sometimes when I listen to comedians they just suddenly switch topics without warning and it gives me whiplash. But her transitions are so smooth it all feels like one long joke. That's amazing.

Her material isn't too powerful (aside from her zingers--"Hop in Speed racer, let's kill a dream"--marvelous), but her delivery and mastery of the momentum of the stage energy are top shelf. Incredible command, inflection, and segues. It's hard to pull off this kind of casual confidence without forcing it or coming off douche-y. She kills at this job.

Yeap, she has the flow and delivery mechanics and blueprints nailed down in principle. She has done her theoretical research and it shows. She just needs stronger material and perhaps a bit more dark / shocking, level up the game a bit and make you think twice when leaving the venue after she's done with you - like all the great ones did.

I totally agree with you, except that the main things that make a comedian funny are the things she excels at. She’s great. A well written comic who has awful delivery won’t be nearly as good as someone with shitty writing who can deliver amazing. There are many types of comedy. She nails her style. She doesn’t need amazing writing to be good. That being said I hope she blows up enough to be able to collaborate with an amazing writer.

The interesting thing is...that that's the most common response of a dismissive avoidant attachment style. Of course, some people do have secure, emotionally aware, attuned parents and therefore have a "good childhood".
However, dismissive avoidants come out of situations where what they needed didn't happen...which has a very different retrospective view than overt abuse.
Dismissive avoidants were usually emotionally neglected...but had their basic needs attended to, clothes, food, education, and practical dynamics, oriented to functionality. Usually there's an unspoken code of conflict avoidance and refusal to talk about, engage in, emotional content. It is practical or intellectual only.

I actually enjoyed her and it takes real talent for a female or male stand up comedian to hold my attention. She actually had content in her routine that was original and her delivery was spot on.

She's right though, car sex is good for when you're not supposed to be doing it. Once you get your own place the car becomes a thing of the past.

"I wanna be the one. Positive or negative, doesn't matter as long as my picture is on the wall."
And this approach, gentlemen, is why it's so hard to find a non-shitty relationship. Because each one wants to be the one, and each one very quickly finds out it's much easier to be the one that set your car on fire.

I've been engaged twice. The first one dumped me a week before our wedding and I went on my honeymoon alone.
My second one cheated on me with her ex-boyfriend when we sent out our wedding invitations.
I lost my virginity in a car....
We might be a perfect match.
