Nice livewell setup. What priming bulb did you use to fit on the pump output? The biggest I found was 10mm and it needed adapters to use with my tubing.
Thanks for watching. I just grabbed a out board motor primer bulb from west marine. I'm not sure what size it is but it had a small check valve and barbed fittings for the gas line. I removed both of the barbed fittings and used hose clamps to fasten it directly to the pump outlet and to the check valve on the other side. The hose fits onto the check valve and then on to the spray nozzle. I hope this helps. Good luck
Thanks for watching, I have run the pump for 8 hours with no problems. Running the battery dead will decrease the life of the battery significantly. I would recommend getting a lithium ion battery instead of a sealed led acid battery just because of the weight. There are some good options available and they are about the same price as the batteries I have. Good luck and tight lines.
Hey Alex, Nice video. I'm making a similar Vittle Vault bait tank for my PA 14 and having an issue with my check valve. What type of check valve did you use and where did you get it? Thank you - Jeff
Thanks for watching. I got the check valve at West Marine. Not sure witch one it is but it was near the pump that I used. Same size as the tubing and intake on the pump. I hope this helps. Good luck and tight lines.
@@Alexcareykayakfishing Thank you for the reply. There's a guy that sells a primer bulb with an intake check valve attached. ua-cam.com/video/jpQ7oWeGzRg/v-deo.html I'm wondering if I add the West Marine outflow check valve (like you have) to his setup if it will help with priming and holding prime. That way you have a check valve on either side of the primer bulb, similar to how they're designed, but with a larger diameter intake and outflow. Thoughts? One last question. Does your 500 GPH pump have any problem pulling water up through the plumbing once it's primed?
Thanks for watching. I used the smaller one. The smaller container has an angled lid and the large one has a lid that is not at an angle. The small one works best to access from a sitting position. I keep it about halfway fill and it seems to work well.
Thanks for watching. The pump comes with some fittings you just need some tubing, hose clamps, a primer ball, one way check valve, and a adjustable valve for in side the tank. For the wiring you just need a fuse buss and a switch. I got everything at West Marine. Good luck.
Thanks for watching, I got the primer at west marine it is for a out board motor I'm not sure what size it is but it's the same size as the pipe on the pump. As long as you don't have any air leaks and the pump housing gets filled with water it should start pumping.
Really nice build! Great job
Best DIY for sure,
Nice 💪👍
Thanks for watching.
Hey Alex, how many avg size opelu can you hold in there?

Nice video! Question though, how long of a battery life do you get on those batteries when running the pump continuously?

Nice work! Do you remember what size pet food container you used? I'm see a 40 lb and 60 lb container

@@Alexcareykayakfishing I noticed that about the angle of the lid. Thanks!
Are you able to give a link to your check valve?
I picked it up at West Marine on Oahu.
Do you have a parts list?

This is the 40lb pet food container? Thanks brother
I'm not sure the size but the larger one has the lid face up and the smaller one like the one I used has the lid at an angle.
@@Alexcareykayakfishing thanks, they have three with angled lids a 40, 50, 60. I saw you didn't fill yours all the way so I ordered the 40
Nice, I would definitely go with the smaller one.
Hi, what size primer bulbs pump is that? Thanks!
