Really nice job on your bait tank. Just an idea on your drain system, I think you probably could have just got by with the lower drain only and just kept a few different lengths of pipe to adjust your water level. (Instead of putting a cap on it just slip a longer piece of pipe on it to adjust your water level)

Awsome vid, yours looks way cleaner than what i have. You might want to screen the drain. I found lots of times small fish or debri can clog the outtake, causein? The tank to over fill ect. Im fishing saltwater witch i have to consider corrosion on all metals period. Early-on i used a peice of galvanised strapping on the inside of my yak supporting somthing i mounted and 3 weeks of being exposed to salty steam(even) from inside the yak melted the metal!

I just drilled a matching hole for the pipes to go through. All smooth PVC fittings. Lots of goop!

I am having the same troubles you guys are having. I cannot get my pump to prime itself. I have done a search for the Bundy check valve and have found nothing, but I did find a brand by the name of Brady that is blue which might be the one Mo is talking about? I have not ordered one yet. This is a great idea, but I am becoming frustrated, lol.

Awesome job; what type of battery are you using? how long will it run your pump, lastly is it also running a depth recorder?

Hey, thanks for your posts. They are very informative. I know you said the Johnson pump can be gotten any where. Did you mean at a plumbing supply house or a sports store/ bait and tackle shop?

re the plumbing fittings, did you just drill a matching hole in the tank? or did you tap it to thread the fittings? I know you marine gooped everything, so maybe it doesn't matter. But, just wondering cuz some of your fittings looked like they may be NPT or threaded? Are they all smooth PVC fittings? Thanks.. great video!

I'm thinking about trying this. What size bait have you held in there? Do you think it's big enough to keep a few bunker alive? I'll be using big baits like bunker and porgies

2:06 I thought it was a power wheels charger plug. People throw those little battery powered cars out all the time or you could buy a dead one for a couple bucks, think of ways to use the little motor...(Outrigger raiser, Powered up hill kayak cart, Raise or lower an anchor...etc.)

My bad guys! Ozarkshunter is correct. The brand name is Brady for the check valve.

Can you provide primer bulb information? I can’t find a primer bulb that will go with 3/4 fittings

The check valve I have threaded right on. The only thing I can think of is your valve has slightly different threads.
