Thanks for this! I gifted my brother a Jade wallet for his birthday this year and, along with your recent tutorial on the Jade, this one will be an excellent reference for the Green wallet. I am very well versed in in tech having been involved in the field since th early 70s but my brother is a bit of a newb. This was his 73rd birthday. I am 77. Bitcoin is for seniors, too!!🤣

The 2of3 is not obvious how to use, would love the advanced tutorial you said you might do… Also is it possible to do 2of3 with hardware wallets? Also not clear
When setting up the Jade, will there be an authenticity check?
Very cool, first app that has all the functionalities, was looking for that. How save is bluetooth connection though? Maybe easier for hackers to submit all kinds of malicious data through? And the private key of jade does not leave the device right? When you set up hw wallet in the app and it asks for all the data. Because you said it does get the pin of the device?

is it either USB or Bluetooth or can both connect with the Jade? What would you recommend? With or without Passphrase?

Managing your cold storage funds with an app via Bluetooth seems insecure
For spending wallet seems ideal. Especially if it would be possible with a Tapsigner for instance.
How about hidden wallets using passphrase? I see on their website this is possible, but maybe they enabled this function after your video was created.

I set it up. Sent 1 usd into it. Factory reset. Restored seed phrase. Money still there. I'm assuming it's safe to use now.
I have block stream Green since 2021. Now lost all bitcoin in the wallet and they tell men to use a recovery tool which doesn’t work
Hey Ben. When using the Jade to secure multiple wallets (Bitcoin, Liquid, and Lightning) are they under the same seed?
You can have both Bitcoin and Liquid accounts under the same seed. Lightning bitcoin cannot be stored on Jade.
I guess by default Green creates a Legacy Wallet. That's what it did with me as well. Seems to me it would be better to create a Native Segwit address Wallet by default.
Totally agree. I archived the legacy account and created a new segwit one.
I would like to switch to green if the balance is integrated to onchain but still able to interact with the lightning network like how the muun does.
I use muun too because of this. I withdraw from Kraken via lightning as it's free, then when I receive the Lightning payment on muun, I send it to my hardware wallet.
Another great tutorial, thank you. Question - how did you copy a L-BTC address on your phone then paste it into a computer wallet?
I typically just use Telegram (which is installed on my phone and laptop) and send the address via my "saved messages". Simple way for me to get data to and from with minimal effort!

Unfortunately not yet, but I've asked and they're working on it.
There is still no Lightning. so pointless for small payments. they need to hurry up as fees are getting to high now.

If I already use Blockstream Green Wallet App for many years, why would I want jade hardware wallet?
I mean, isn't in a sense 2 things that accomplish the same thing?

Green is a hot wallet. Whenever you sign a transaction with your private keys they are online and could potentially be intercepted. Jade is a cold storage wallet, the keys are only on the physical device itself therefore you or anyone else can't make a transaction without the physical device.

no its not. There is a group of companies which share the control over this sidechain.
Liquid is not as safe as Bitcoin.
