Thanks! I think I was one of the first customers to buy a Jade when Adam Back made the release statement in January of 2021. I payed for it with btc of course :) Since then I've been nagging Blockstream with questions about when QR-code/air gapped transaction signing...aaaand...now, finally it's activated! Thank You! :) Looking forward to a new tutorial from you regarding the updated Jade's functionality.

I set up a new wallet protected by a passphrase. I then recovered the wallet and set up a second passphrase for a hidden wallet. I was wondering how can I switch between passphrases? Is there a certain amount of time that I need to leave the device off before it will prompt me to re-enter my pass phrase?

In order to change when you are prompted for a passphrase, select the Settings menu on the connect Jade screen and select Use Passphrase. Then choose No, Once or Always

How many passphrases are supported and are/can they be linked to a separate pin (similar to how ledger hw work, though they only support 1 other pin/passphrase)?

Jade uses BIP39 passphrase, so you can have virtually limitless passphrases/wallets. They will all use the same PIN however

@@Blockstream so similar setup to other vendor hw. Was hoping for multiple (at least 2) pin+passphrase as that would be a very useful setup to have.

Would you mind clarifying your feature request? It sounds like you would like to not enter the actual passphrase, but instead would like to create a 2nd PIN that leads to your passphrase protected wallet. Is that correct?

@@tldr8138 with regards to the separated pin/passphrase, depending on the use case the separate (dummy) passphrase can be used to hide your actual BTC. It also means that if your seed phrase is leaked you still have control of your money and can then move it around to a secure wallet and seed.

Yes but you may need to update it first if your Jade doesn't have a QR supported version

I have a quick question, if anybody could help I would appreciate it.
I have been researching Bitcoin for a while now and one thing I'm a little confused about is the purpose of a software or hot wallet. Can you move Bitcoin directly from the exchange into cold storage? If so then why do I need a software wallet? Is it because the exchange is connected to the internet?
Basically what I'm thinking is right before you transfer to cold storage you have to disconnect the internet and the only way to do that is with a software wallet? Is this correct?
