    if i have a ledger seed phrase but want to switch to a passport, can I just import my old seed into the pass port? Is that safe to do? or should I create a new seed and tranfer my funds?

    Thanks for the great tutorial! So, once you’ve created a secondary account, how do we see/access it on Sparrow?

    The encrypted seed phrase file on the micro SD seems cool at first but then, I wonder what happens if the file in the SD card becomes corrupted...the backup digits won't do much good in that case. Is anyone else worried about that?

      I made 3 Copies of the SD card distributed to 3 separate locations. This is the advise of Foundation. Use the exact SD cards , which are more expensive but are industrial grade.

    Can the battery be removed easily so you don’t have to store a lithium battery in your safe? Looks like it?

      @vandogtrailer6701 Рік тому +3

      Yes it is. That was on my requirement list too. Their batch 1 with the AAA's were obviously removable. The battery they choose for this will power it much longer (not a big deal IMO), but it is also a standard size. It's the Nokia BL-5C form factor, so you can replace it. I don't expect mine to get much use or wear out the battery. But I do hope it lasts for many years, so the answer to you question was important to me.

      Yup you can send directly there! Just get a receiving address from the device or the app you're using it with and paste it into Binance :)

    Can I transfer BTC straight from ledger to passport? With out using sparrow?

    • @etiennedaunay2150
      @etiennedaunay2150 7 місяців тому +1

      Hook both the Ledger and Passport into Sparrow, then transfer directly from Ledger to Passport (signing the transactions with the Ledger) Using Sparrow to do this allows a nice interface into your UTXOs that you may want to consider consolidating in the move.

    re: Ledn...
    sadly, proving one's holdings are included via a real audit [vs. an in-house 'audit'] would not have prevented what happened with Celsius. problem there was the TOS and so by depositing their funds with Celsius users of the platform, for all intents and purposes, signed away their rights to their money.

    It makes sense, BTC and crypto is off helping to regulate, rather than pretend it won't ever happen. The big institutions getting in is the catalyst that will launch us into the stratosphere. Most people don't like change but after the change is made they grow used to it and it becomes a non issue usually because their fears never materialize. The projects that initiated the process of regulation have not been ruined, they got involved in setting guidelines and helping the regulators understand the crypto space. I’d get involved more knowing that I have made over 7 btc and 15ETH from day-trade with FLOYD J JOHNSON in few weeks...

    Not worth the price. The coldcard is objectively superior. Sleek design and the battery are a plus.
