Really enjoy your channel and programmes. It acts as a great primer for new fans of the show as well as those familiar - perfect comfort viewing . Looking forward to season 7 (my favourite season and Inferno being my favourite story) . I hope you carry on with it and get to New Who as I missed many of these as the series nosedived - am hoping you'll make sense of some of the convoluted mess New Who became and fill in the gaps. Until then I will continue to indulge in pure nostalgia with your classic retro reviewing. Keep it up .Best 🦀
I am so happy that you are taking the time and effort to get through classic who! I have been wanting to watch the series so bad, but never have the time or dedication. You give very thorough and detailed explanations on each episode and manage to make it very entertaining! Great work
You make The Dominators sound like a Terry Nation best hits- and he didn't even write it! And people rag on The Space Pirates, saying it should be better, especially since it's coming from Robert Holmes, but, from this, my impression isn't that bad. Maybe I need to actually watch it to judge. Or rather, "watch". I saw when this was uploaded originally, I was deeply sad it got taken down, so I'm glad it's back up!
Awesome, thank you for the next installment. Our son (thirteen), who was reluctant to watch B&W Dr Who has found these great, and has picked a couple of stories from the previous seasons to watch after seeing them here... And enjoyed them.
That's lovely to hear and exactly the reason I make these videos. It's comments like this that keep me going during the hours of editing it takes to put these together!
It's not UA-cam, it's the BBC that removes them. The Dalek's Masterplan is probably my favourite missing story, if I could choose any missing episode to be returned it would be the final episode of that story. It's so ambitious I'd love to see it.
@@doctorohosadventures3476 wow you replied, you’re my favourite UA-camr! I would personally want the celestial toy maker returned. I find it interesting.
Great review! But i think the ice warriior story can be explained: With t-mat, is there a need for refrigerators or freezers? Or even cooking, if all is pre-prepared and stored?
I prefer to call these videos a "summary" rather than a review. I try to just re-tell the story, rather than offer my opinion on what was good or bad about it (although my opinion sometimes sneaks through when I'm making a joke or questioning the plot!) There's loads of great reviews already out there so I wanted to do something a bit different. Regarding the Ice Warriors, you raise a good point about food storage. Maybe T-Mat is actually a huge system (and not just the two or three tiny teleporters we see) and they're teleporting the food straight into people's houses (into their mouths?) whenever they get hungry. No wonder Gia Kelly was so busy with all the transfers she was co-ordinating!
The War Games was written by Terrance Dicks who then became the Script Editor for the Pertwee era, so he was responsbile for creating both The War Chief and The Master. Even if the War Chief isn't the Master, it's likely one heavily inspired the other.
BBC took it down for copyright infringement. I upload a video, UA-cam immediately takes it down automatically, I dispute the takedown saying that it's fair use, then the BBC has 30 days to respond. If they're feeling nice that day, they'll allow the video but say that it can't be monetised, which is fine, and if they're feeling grumpy they'll remove the video entirely and I have to cut out the bit they object to and re-upload.
@@doctorohosadventures3476 Darnit, I didn't realize that. Thanks for all your work. Sometimes I save things for later, but I'd better watch before they disappear! What a pain.
Are we sure The Master in that story isn't *THE* Master? And are we sure Gulliver isn't a Time Lord in disguise (the same actor plays a Time Lord in The War Games)?
I'm glad you were able to get this back up. Your videos are great. Can't wait for season 7.
''Destroy, Total Destruction!' - I think Channing and the Dominators were cut from the same cloth...
Another great breakdown as always.

Thank you for making this i didn't want to watch those black and white episodes but still wanted to know what happens in the story.

Plus your very is very soothing. I fall asleep to these videos at night
Love your work and the bits of humor-sarcasm you put in! Thanks for getting this back up.

Really like your videos. Getting back into Dr Who after a prolonged gap. Great to see these guides.
Sad UA-cam removes these so often. What’s your favourite missing doctor who episode?

So how is the doctor recognized in the war games? After all, he has regenerated since he left Galifrey.
Wendy Padbury!!!
Just Wow!

So, we're sure the War Chief wasn't The Master, right? Because he sure fits the bill.
The War Games was written by Terrance Dicks who then became the Script Editor for the Pertwee era, so he was responsbile for creating both The War Chief and The Master. Even if the War Chief isn't the Master, it's likely one heavily inspired the other.
Just curious, why was this originally taken down?

Are we sure the master brain isn't just the Toymaker?
Are we sure The Master in that story isn't *THE* Master? And are we sure Gulliver isn't a Time Lord in disguise (the same actor plays a Time Lord in The War Games)?
Well... it could be possible.
Or the War Chief being Leon Colbert, quietly taking earthlings to fight in the War Games
