Are you lying down alot to get tension off the muscles that are taking over the job of carrying your back? Maybe something to look into if not already familiar is holotrophic breathwork. This can also help with getting more aware and letting go of muscle tension in particular areas of the body. It has alot of other benefits too.

Being vulgar at your stand ups is like cheating because it can always provide a cheap short term laughs. Coming up with good spirited clean comedy is far more challenging because the performer had to figure out a way to send the sophisticated adult themed messages with more limited toolbox. The casual way Jim succeeds in this task and he is so masterful at it, that the illusion of effortlessness gives a hint about how much work has been put within his monologues. That’s exactly the thing, the masters of the craft always make it look easy. On top of that, the level of self awareness is so charming, that it can cure a depression. Funny thing, the place they do the colonoscopies at my hospital is called SPA (Special Procedures Area). So "to go to Spa" where I'm from means "to get a colonoscopy"! 😂
I must have had the oldest and hopefully last doc to perform this procedure while I was both awake and without pain meds. And when I would moan and howl he called me a baby. Think I might have been on the sadist network.
My sympathies -- I had a similar experience with a cystoscopy. Ton of fun.
