If one person had to represent America abroad, I wouldn’t mind it being Jim Gaffigan
Promotes American cuisine: Hot Pockets and bacon.
@@ownpetard8379 haha
@@ownpetard8379 lol 😄
🎶Diarrhea Pockets🎶
@@ownpetard8379 For the last several months I have had bacon in my egg sandwich on Sunday Mornings. I think it helps me to preach better. I'm like popeye with his spinach, except mine is bacon.
Such a great interview. Great "inside" comedy conversation.
The more you grow into middle age, the more entertaining Jim Gaffigan becomes
Such a difference between this and Seinfeld's interview...
Gaffigan: "you need to bring new stuff"
Seinfeld: "it takes me 20 years to bring a new hour... but people love me"
Needless to say, I think Gaffigan is way funnier
The world has a lot of sharp edges, and Jim Gaffigan doesn’t. I like his world - it’s gentle.
He has nothing but soft round bulges
Whattt??????
Gaffigan rocks!!!! Smart, humble, creative, family man who has a story-telling gift that can hit everyone’s funny bone with class and inimitable style.
*agreed- 100%
I have watched almost 10 hours of Jim Gaffigan's material and I think he reused a Joke once, he is such a brilliant comic truely one of our modern champions of comedy.
*truly...drop the "e". Weren't you educated in (grade school!)...or @all?
Also, you need to add punctuation (a semicolon) after the word "comic". Otherwise it's a run-on sentence...poor grammar, oof
@@Ultamami oh and please don't reply...
@@Bearyboo87 not worth my time nor casting anymore pearls upon swine. Lol
@@Ultamami you have a good life mate, try to get out and enjoy yourself a bit eh?
the hosts don't let the conversation breathe: RIGHT, YEAH, HAA, NO, I GET IT...
*What a great comedian and an even better interview! Jim is a class act that keeps me in stitches!!!*
I like it when nice, smart, funny people get together and talk. Also, that audio producer in the background, just chilling and staring into the distance.
Always a pleasure to see Jim being Jim.
I genuinely do not find Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, or Seth Meyers to be funny. Not because of politics, I just don't see any humor in their content. Conan O'Brien is on a different level. I may not agree with him on many things politically, but goddamn he is talented.
Did you ever insist you be called "Co NAN"?
Oh , it's nice that we can listen to their opinions . Fantastic Grown Men , being themselves . No showboat. Thank You for the Time. !
Ummmm, who's the stranger staring at the back of Jim's head.
They're pretty distracting to the interview and look really bored.
Just waiting for to all be gag, where they open a book "Top 10 ways of Getting Noticed" or something.
she won a contest
My favorite comedians are Gaffigan and Dave Chappell. Regardless of the subject matter and the language used, you're either funny or not. These guys are FUNNY!
I'm 56 and don't have kids, but I enjoy hearing his material about his kids. (And Ray Romano's material too.) But I get his point about 26-year-olds.
Remember when Seinfeld forced Tom and Fortune to take their headphones off
The producer doesn't need to be in the shot...very distracting.
It's almost creepy at times. :)
I always mistake them, and now they are together, this is insane.
Gaffigan and Pappa are just terribly aggreeable human beings.
I know. It's Sickening!
I know it's probably a pain but can we get closed captioning? Especially with soft spoken hilarity.
I remember he was on an NPR show once (I think with his wife) and someone was asking questions about their kids.
His response to the first question: "Well--uchh--there's so many of them" lol 😄
Lady in the back has to go
This was inspiring, encouraging, and enlightening. Thanks, Jim and everyone.
Listen with your eyes closed, and try to figure out which one is Jim and which is Papa
Gi Al - really! your right. I wrote something similar. May, they are twins in a different dimension 😉
Papa sounds like Jim's stage voice.
Lmao!
Its weird seeing the woman looking over Gaffigan's shoulder.
Is this the HotPocket guy?
Yes
I think he should put out an album and name it *"Laugh again with Gaffigan!"*
John Possum Might be too presumptuous for him. It’d be a good title for a biography! 🌈❤️
@@ABCDoris Comedian biographies are the best reads. My last 3 books were comedian autobiographies.
John Possum 😄 Last three you’ve written or read?
And either way, whose do you recommend?
@@ABCDoris Swine Not? by Jimmy Buffet. Fictional story that could plausibly happen.
John Possum Cool! Xx
Gaffigan and Papa are the same guy.
I wish I had a Papa.
They aren’t doing an impression of one another; that is actually how they are... the same!
Well,,, they are people
Lol yes
Fortune kinda looks like a female John Candy.🤔😄
Debi Oxburger?
Bwhahaahaahahaaa
That head in the background is crazy distracting.
Jim grew another head....
Why is there always someone in the bg bored to tears? Jim and Sam have the same deal. Lame and sparse as it is, it's TV, not just radio...
Scotland Wood Works 😂 I just commented on that! It’s cracking me up, she looks utterly mesmerised.
There was a chick sitting behind Joe Koy on Joey Diaz’s podcast fannying about constantly on her phone the entire time - that was *annoying*.
“When you can see the camera, the camera can see you too!”
I wish Jim Gaffigan was my next-door neighbor. I’d go over to his home and borrow some toast.
Actually. Colbert, Noah and Seth Meyers do it. But they don't laughs. They get agreement applause. Like they're giving a stump speech.
Yeah no politics left or right. Just give it a rest. Thank god y'all understand.
Who is the mystery woman behind Gaffigan? That's a totally weird shot setup. The funniest part of this whole interview is how Jim says that these days, we prefer to get to know our celebrities intimately, and this is exactly that.
I really adore how great and highly they speak of Brian Regan. I think I have to see him live now!
I've never once heard any comic have a bad word for Regan. He's a certified legend.
I've seen Regan 5 times and you will not regret it - 3 of them were three nights in a row. I brought a different group of friends each night, he did a different show each night, and you laugh from the time he gets on stage until he gets off. I had one friend sit there and stare, he smiled, but didn't really seem to get into him like everyone else did. When Regan was done, my friend Tommy jumped up and took off. He returned a few minutes later and I asked him if he liked it and he said 'Hell yeah, that's why I ran out of here when he was done - I was holding a piss because I didn't want to miss anything he said!"
I always wonder how much of what comedians say is true. Like how Catholic is Jeanie really? Thankfully, in that one joke, Jim tells us there wasn't actually a bear.
2019 feels soooo long ago now
“How dare you call something conventional that has been around for decades…” Hahaha. Do you hear yourself? You’re describing being conventional. That’s literally what it means. It’s been around for decades as the norm = conventional
I loved Jim’s way
Way way back like 20,30 years ago it seems. I was so happy that he resurfaced I cannot get enough of his genius humor !!
When things get really tough and gloomy and serious, just watch and listen and laugh with Jim for a while and you’ll be happy again
Anyone on Netflix is taboo now. No matter who they are. Done like a hot pocket.
You’re so pretty Jim. I love and carry your family in my prayers. I look forward to meeting you all in heaven
🤟🏼🎶🤗❤️
I predict that in the future Tom will have a different co-host . She adds nothing . I'm watching 2 funny adults and a third person and I can't figure out why they are there.
Did you know a few years ago, Papa criticized a comedian by saying she “wasn’t a real comedian” because online comedians aren’t real. Then the whole online thing blew up, and anyone not online was the fake comedian.
Gi Al You’d probably need to be more specific in order for a valid response.
Was it Angela Johnson?
Clean comedy can work. Look at Seinfels. Comediennes seem to think sex and vaginas are the threshold of success. I think it's a mistake. As they age no one wants to hear about their snatch.
If you're mad that Jim doesn't like trump or didn't talk about his faith, you need to watch this: ua-cam.com/video/FOt03BNPExo/v-deo.html
God. I forgot I've watched it almost 3 years ago... Why this is got recommended again 🤔
Fifteen years in the game, and I still don't understand how Fortune got this gig. Where's the flow, Mary Jane?
Mary Jane? She's a stoner?
@@krapfantasy Well, that explains the Doritos body.
HOT POCKETS!!!? don't use the same old recurring joke?
Why are camera 2 and 3 at half luminosity? So ugh.
Haha yeah so grey!! They really need to fix their visuals on this show lol, I understand it's radio primarily but now they've uploaded it as a UA-cam show as well so...
Would it kill you to color correct?
Kevin Hart and Jo Koy have depleted me when it comes to kid material. It used to be mostly women comics, the only reason I don't listen to many, it's always just felt uninteresting. However, it is good relief during an otherwise childfree set and material in my opinion.
The woman behind Jim looks extremely bored
who is this man? did he eat jim gaffigan?
...with spray cheese on him.
Comedy gold
i started making VHSs of Jim after seeing Hot Pocket -- he was early viral
Anyone else lose focus because of the woman behind Jim in some of the shots?
Grateful for your work and attempts to wake people up.
I know I'm just an open mic-er, but this Feimster is pretty useless on this show.
?
This is great. The chick staring behind Jim Gaffigan cracks me up almost as much as him and Tom Papa! 😂😂😂
Why is that person behind Jim? Super annoying.
Right. Is it funny is the only litmus test. And Gaffigan and Papa, Regan are funny. Louis
CK and Seinfeld are not funny. Most comedians are not funny.
Gaffigan makes me mildly chuckle every few minutes in his shows. He's a good time filler.
@@BUJU2007 Who makes you really laugh?
Comedy is subjective. Depending on your mood, you might gut bust laugh at one comic, chuckle at another or listen quietly to another; you may even just turn them of in anger.
Ohhhhhhh that’s why fortune hasn’t had kids. 🤷🏼♂️
yeah its definitely not the frumpy repulsiveness lol
Great to hear Giraldo's name. God I miss that guy.
Gaffigan just came out as a liberal. Big surprise.
Love to listen to you all. What a comics life is like.
Fortune Feimster reminds me of Charlize Theron
Papa looks like the love child of John C Reilly and Jim Gaffigan.
Yeah that's why she hasn't had kids. LOL.
Nothing conventional about this guy.
Gaffigan JUST came out with a special on Amazon Prime. Why would Netflix choose to hype him right now? lol.
Cole McKelvie I mean he’s still got 5 specials on Netflix, which are on forever. So it’s never a bad idea for Netflix to promote him
He has 5 specials on Netflix and maybe they want to have the next one.
That chick behind Jim is distracting
That creepy face behind Jim will haunt me for a while..
Around 7:00 it moves so its not just some random cardboard poster of some one. It's probably the sound engineer.
For a guy that doesn't like L.A. showbiz chatter, your interview with Papa and Fortune sure sounds all L.A.-speak . . . imagine a jokester talking about 'challenging' his audience . . . say WHAT? My head started hurting.
great blocking on your guest
Theres no comments .... It because I'm schizophrenia?
Why are you telling me like its that important? Is it because there's no comma? Wat do?
Lmao I love Jim Gaffigan’s comedy
- No one
If that woman in the background was wearing a Jim Gaffigan mask I guess we'd be suitably creeped. But as it is, no offence, _I see engineer-people_ .
..offense
@@adamshero4695 I am non-american.
Five kids? In a world of limited resources, seems kind of selfish. Maybe two kids then adopt?
Gaffigan is funny and I appreciate that he's relatively clean, but the constant high voice gets annoying.
This is a wonderful conversation.
The same type of audience John Pinette had.
Just a warm genius ...someone you would love to have a coffee with
Who is that woman?
They sound the same lol
They created a hole in the desk so the monitor doesn’t obstruct the view of the short guy.
Jim Gaffigan is my favorite comedian, I have watched and been a fan of stand up for decades. As a conservative, what bothers me about comedians doing political humor now is the difference between a President they like and one they don't like, and it's always leftist comedians that are the most noticeable. The obvious hate for Trump obliterates any humor that might be in the joke and they can't talk about anything else. As a person that views media in all its forms, I am hard pressed to find anything positive about Trump, conservatives or Christians for that matter in TV, movies even online news outlets. A joke about Trump (photo of a severed head!) would NEVER have been used about Obama by these same people. In other words, their ideology overrides the comedy. I used to like Kathleen Madigan. In the last special I watched, the first thing she said was I guess Obama is doing a great job, she could have been sarcastic but not likely, either way, I'm not going to waste my time on comedians that use vulgarity, overt sexual innuendo nor bashing conservatism and Christianity even if some of it is funny, as Papa said, I want to get away from the noise. I saw Brian Regan in Bakersfield a few years back and he was great, so was Larry the Cable Guy. I went to a local clubs' comedy night with a date and the comedians comeback to a heckler was pulling his (penis) out on stage. We walked out.
Is this cat where they came up with "Gafs"?
Kidding!!! Conventionally.
Jim Gaffigan is and has been Highlarious for years!!
the earth is flat
you owe me a pic
jim is king !!
If one eats aborted fetus, is that eating organic or vegan?
Dont like to hear about other kids, uess that why I think I never heard about Jim before
Thought he was a good guy until i saw the le croix bottle... >.>
when Jim talked about a guy drinking KFC gravy on Letterman , that killed me. 'When did gravy become a beverage?"
will crow I want to look for that. I don’t remember seeing it. 😂
@@ABCDoris says he was down south and saw a guy in a shopping mall drinking KFC gravy from a styrofoam cup which had the label on it. Just walking around the mall drinking gravy. He said, " the south won't rise again because it can't. It's having cement for breakfast."
will crow 😂😂😂 Excellent. I’m gonna have a search through Letterman a bit later. I’d love to see it. Thank you! 🌈🙏🏽
i thought the host was the guest lol
bro you look the same
LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Is she the girl from the pizza shop in Workaholics?
wheres the engine! does it have an engine????
Is it funny or not? Exactly!!
Oh Wow-- and Tom Paul too! Made my day!😎
Jim and Papa are so similar haha
