I’ve had one two years and I’m an experienced brisk rider , other than weight loss I can see no point in changing stock exhaust! In my opinion it looks good and sounds great !!! Good video on a very underrated bike , my mates on S100 RR can’t keep up most of the time 👍

Great to hear it. To be honest, if they can update the dash to the one from the GT, I'd go buy one myself. It's a brilliant bike and will also be more than capable on track. They should also carry over the electronic suspension from the new 1000 GX as an option, that would be awesome.
Yeah, for standard, the exhaust is decent enough really, although I always like to change to something with a bit of a rip to it, but to each their own.
The bikes also pretty easy to ride and certainly all day comfy for me.

@@sbrides3042 well... Having had first hand experience recently with the Maxton upgrade on the VFR, id recommend them, but then they're local to me here in the UK. My mate also had maxton rear shock and front cartridges on his Gsxs1000F (back when I did the Gsxs 750 track video at Silverstone), and he also highly rated them.
Anyone of high quality that's local I'd recommend really. K-Tech too, although price wise they're up there with ohlins too. I'm a bit sad and consider spring colours etc too for aesthetics, but has to really come down to price and quality.

Good review, I would only upgrade my 750 to this one if there is a touring windshield( Puig) for it!!! These bigger engine naked bike are only good if you can make them sport touring( Touring Windshield and Handlebar risers), they are over kill for street and no good for faster roads because of wind. I almost sold my brand new GSX S750 because it was so uncomfortable, no wind protection and too much lean over, the mods save it.

Yeah, I did a 750 comparison video after this. This new Gsxs has serious potential to live in my garage, just depends what happens with the tourer that's due imminently. With more track days on the horizon, that bit more power down the straights would be good but doesn't detract from what is still a very good bike for all round road use, touring etc.. With the tourer due, it could be very very popular. Can't wait. Thanks for watching! 😁

Genuinely don't want 175 - 200bhp, 15-20k supernaked on the road & to be totally honest, I couldn't justify spending that much anyway. Also waiting to see if they do a similar update to the 750 as like you say, it's more using a smaller engine & so that might be more appealing to me personally.

Good review. I'd have kept the red and black F you owned before, had it remapped and had Maxton rework the suspension for your weight. I much prefer the look of that bike. Wisdom after the event stuff, no disrespect intended. May I ask if you can recall if it had a less busy top gear ? This new bike is very low geared, only 70 MPH at 5,000 RPM in top gear.

Thanks! 😊- yeah, prob should have done! Given where i am now on the gsxr having gone via BMW S1000R route etc, but hey.. Don't really regret it.
Yes, I would maybe say that the NEW S is a bit more eager in top gear than my old F was, but its definitely better to ride though. The tune of the rear shock is much improved from my F where adjustment for me, made no difference at all and the brakes are better and throttle response is how it should have been. For me the new S in B mode is how the old F should have been. In 'A' mode I felt it was a bit too eager on the road unless you were going for it.

Yeah, I was very, very tempted. I would have bought the 1000S of it wasn't for picking up track days again, so went with a 23' 765RS. Was a tough call but it's better spec'd for track use out of the crate... Read the only reason for going with the 765 over a 1000's. It's like the 750 was but on steroids. Also 27kg lighter and comparatively 24bhp more at the wheel after tuning. Thanks for watching. The 8S looks like a great bike! If I didn't have the 765, I'd would have been tempted by the 8R!

Although I like the looks of the Honda, don’t like it that there is less power. MT10 is okay looking but I am afraid the suspension is not of good quality. • @twistandgo3414
      @twistandgo3414  3 роки тому +2

Yeah, I think you're buying the MT10 for the noise in itself, it's a good bike but would say this new GSXS is a better package without the fueling issues. Plus, 2 litre bigger fuel tank, so unless you're caught up on cruise control, for £11k, it's one hell of a package. Looks to me that with the bolt on sub frame, could be ideal for Suzuki to fit a reinforced and longer version for taking luggage and providing a bigger pillion pad!

Love the gsxr but alot of the performance is wasted on the road, just depends what you want to do with it. As a track bike though, its phenomenal!
The gsxs is no slouch though! It's ultimately down on power compared to the superduke and Tuono RSV4 obviously but I don't think that makes it less of a road bike or a bargain! @@MadNath if you haven't ridden one, the SV650 can be a riot to ride! They maybe sold the Gsxs im not sure as they said it was due to be there a while...maybe something came up or "a while" is only a couple of weeks?...def worth it if you can get one. Much better than the old model and more fun and engaging to ride.

Aren't these bikes about the same except for the power difference?

Sorry, do you mean 2018 Gsxs1000 vs 2021? Or the new 1000 vs the 750?
The New 2021 Gsxs1000 has a touch more power, led lights all round, bi directional quick shifter, blipper, different dash, retuned suspension, different sub frame, newer exhaust system and wider bars.

I guess I mean the old 1000. I'm thinking the 750 might be ok as a tourer with a windshield and a rack on the back.

      Same with the 1000

@@korazon3spinado yeah the 750 will easy do it no problem, fine over 500 miles in a day on mine, it gets a bad rap for the comfort of the seat, but it gets better with mileage. Lot of people get a custom seat job done on it or you could fit an air hawk seat or similar.. I found it ok after the first 600 miles of use.

@@korazon3spinado the seat on the 1000 is more comfy. 750 is obviously a bit busier by comparison and the bike feels more buzzy and sporty, new Gsxs1000 is definitely more relaxing to ride though.. Depends what you want and how you like to ride. 750 is more involving but not as grown up or lazy.
