The fact that people in korea are so serious about dr*gs but r*pists get a slap on the wrist is absolutely ridiculous
fr like how is that still a thing in this day and age😭
They totally get it backwards
that is prove what kind of people Korean is
For real. Especially when I watched the Burning Sun case, bruh! That is a whole s*x trafficking ring! And people got away / served max of 3 years in prison. They are hella weird and the people regulating their laws don't even look like they are thinking.
And pedos
Korean society is so crazy to me. They can tear someone's life to shreds for being involved in drugs, even pushing them to suicide. Yet, in cases like the Burning Sun scandal, where there is real evidence of men sa'ng women, people like Seungri receive only a 1-year prison sentence. Additionally, Junhyung remains free, and both of them still have fans supporting them. I will never understand it, honestly, and it makes me so mad. May he rest in peace; it's such a sad and unjust case.
@notmeowbutmeow5269 No, Korean society is also to blame.
Korea is even more superficial and toxic than Western society. "Korea has the longest unbroken chain of slavery of any society in history (spanning about 1,500 years)" Korea likes to take things to an extreme level.
They spend 1 million dollars to protect a SA offender that maimed a 8 year old girl for life, who also unalived an old man, and has dozens of violent crimes, when he is released and hardly anything to protect her and help her as a victim.
@@notmeowbutmeow5269Did you not see the video? I'm not recommending weed to anyone but when celebs get accused of using weed they freak out. Meanwhile, people involved in the burning sun still have supporters and fans
Yup! The more facts we know the more it blows my mind!
Super scary they think weed is worse than sex trafficking
That's wild..
Potheads are the Bane of Humanity
yeah it seems prostitution is totally legal but have a gummy before you fly to Seoul and you get thrown in jail 🤯
because even the higher ups and higher people in korea use to sex trafficking they are the user that's why sex trafficking is often get short jail time
But a lot of higher ups do drugs (they love their white powder) so wouldnt people bat their eyes aswell?@armanboncales2928
It's so baffling to me how drugs are treated like a crime against humanity but actual crimes against humanity like rape and murder are not taken seriously
People dealing with addicition need empathy and help not abuse.
Yes! This👆from OP, I agree completely.
As someone who has dealt with addiction, it all started from me being in a very dark place mentally
@@Stryker-K True. Instead, they are being stereotype and seen as the worst people on earth when in reality they truly need help and people who are willing to listen to them, find out their whys etc.
While I will always be 100% against any type of drug usage for obvious medical reasons I have to agree with you.
It makes me mad that the dude who had a dead body in his closet, and the evil schoolkids who ran over the poor delivery driver, all those evil people who are confirmed murderers have so many protections - face & name hidden, weak sentences, etc - while this media circus led a person who wasn't confirmed guity to suicide and NO ONE was held responsible
That's because he's a celebrity and Koreans think celebrities are gods and don't make mistake or anything they consider bad.
@@lissam956no, a celebrity (still wouldn’t be okay if it was a non-celebrity) was led to suicide because he was suspected of abusing drugs but people who actually killed or did other violent crimes are lightly punished or protected

Who would of thought a goalie side character in Young blood from the 80's would become one of the most beloved actors ever.i would go to every length to meet him too ,How did you manage to meet him?

I discovered RR, the Radiant Reservation community, renowned for arranging connections with celebrities and private organizations. Their expertise makes them a top resource for these endeavors.
I saw him at a kbbq in LA over the summer. i was hesitant to go up to him because i didn't want to interrupt his meal, but he saw that i noticed him and waived me over with a smile. he really seemed like a kind soul.
Awww thanks for sharing, he sounds a lovely soul. These stories will keep his spirit alive. 💕💕💕
The way K-netizens switch the moment the victim is dead when they are the one to bully them to death is amazing. It's the same in most celebrity su*cide cases.
I dont think that's necessarily true. When he was being accused the voices to damn him were loud and the ones the supported him waited until he died to be loud.
I honestly agree with this….this kind of culture for them is SOOOO STRONG. I always see it everywhere, whether some kpop scandal, artist scandal, actor scandal or just about any crime they always attack then switch sides when the person is dead or has nothing going on for them anymore.
I was in Seoul when the previous president No's wife was being investigated for bribery. No was enemy no 1 then he jumped off a cliff and it was insane. I'm talking weeks of funeral parades, loud truck memorials to him, often blocking traffic and being a nuisance. I even walked in on my husband crying to a tribute video one day. The lead investigator resigned and apologized, everyone blamed him for just doing his job.
Iirc, he admitted his wife had taken the money to pay off personal debts. His daughter later was found guilty for not reporting a wire transfer using 1.3 billion won of money her mother had been given from guests and friends when they visited while her husband was president.
No's brother was also found guilty for taking almost 3 billion won in bribes.
They haven't bothered investigating No posthumously and seem to have decided to let his wife slide. I get that it is pointless to go after a dead man but the whiplash of public sentiment was wild to see in person
If he wasn't out cheating and partying with prostitutes then none of this would have happened to him 🤷
Same thing happened to Jo min ki (the dad/emperor) from moonlovers as well. He was accused sexual misconduct with his students. He committed s**cide following that.

G-Dragon’s press conference after he was cleared was legendary.
Haha I don’t know anything about k pop but as someone with adhd and hyperactivity I also move like he does and I’ve heard ppl say they think I use drugs lowkey
For someone like G Dragon who bows 90 degrees ALL the time and for him to not bow during the interrogation day interview with the reporters is so SLAY of him
I’ve been into K-pop since 2009. One thing I can never get used to is celebrities losing their careers over things that wouldn’t even warrant a TMZ post in the US.
Doing drugs in Korea is as severe as being a pedo in the US
South Korea's culture lags far behind the country's rapid westernization

Korean police when someone commits horrible crimes against women: 🙈🙉😴
Korean police when someone mentions marijuana: 😱🫨🚨🚔
(the case Stephanie told about at 48:45)
And children
And murders, bullying, national disasters etc
Marijuana is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories out there. If they want to oppose Sativa fine but they should at least support the pain relief strains of Indica.
It is EMBARRASSING that South Korea won't lean further into supporting plant treatments of all stripes.
@XVa-uj8m Why would a Sativa be opposed? Weed is legal where I am and I use it for pain, sleep, focus, anxiety. And I love sative during the day, that's why I'm curious why they would oppose that?
IMO- weed should be legal worldwide and we wouldn't have so many wars! Everybody smoke a fat blunt and chill! Pisses me off SK acts like marijuana is so horrible. But yet it seems ok to have drunks staggering around, driving, drinking freely in most places. Alcohol is very dangerous and causes lots of health problems. Whereas marijuana really helps many issue.
Right?! SOOOO backwards 🙄😒
Stephanie, please cover the story of the Korean mother (Ammy) whose four kids have been taken from her by her Singaporean husband (a rich businessman) who cheated on her. The saddest part in this is that no one will learn anything from this case. People will mourn Lee's departure, say pretty things on the internet, and the next day, they'll tune in to a brand new reputation scandal and start lynching their new victim. Hypocrisy at its best.

thats exactly what I said. They threw him under the bus without any evidence and then kept trying to make things stick that had nothing to really back the allegations.
I agree. The Korean public condemned him and when he’s dead they washed their hands. The police, the press, the netizens. Unfair, unjust. The leak of many issues in the case even not proven. His death also leaked to the press and announced. All are heartless.
They always do this. They did the same to Sully and Hara
Sad thing is, had he lived. People would still not have forgiven him. They only feel sorry now that he’s dead
welcome to the 'brains of the internet'
Such a sad case. This man worked so hard to make it to the top. It’s awful to see it destroyed in an instant by greedy people. RIP Lee
Yep.....
Part of what fueled his suicide was the financial loss he was faced with by cancellation of some contracts due to this investigation. I think it was close to $7 million USD that he was responsible for. It was an impossible sum to raise and so he saw no clear way out but suicide. He was literally hounded to death by the police, public, and media.

"Social murder" is such an accurate term for this. This was one of the first celebrity deaths that truly impacted me. My Mister is my 2nd favorite K-drama of all time. All the pressure crushed him and made him hopeless. This is so heartbreaking
The first K Drama I viewed was Coffee Prince and I was fascinated by Lee - how beautiful he was and such a lovely deep voice. His death really upset me also and I feel so very sorry for his wife (who is also a favourite actress of mine and I did not know they were married) and two sons. I cannot begin to imagine the devastation they must feel, especially knowing his death should NEVER have happened 😞
The two evil women involved should be held accountable and charged as severly as possible.
I hope you dont mind me asking but what is your number one favourite K Drama?
Best Wishes from the UK x
Watch "Pasta" please too, he is wonderful in that. It is a Romance with Gong Hyojin as well.
@@twintasticboys3499 my number one was the first K-drama my wife introduced me to which is Dae Jang Guem (Jewel in the Palace)
Same here. I’m so heartbroken about it. The fact that is was COMPLETELY preventable…
My Mister is one of my favorite dramas of all time, and kind of my introduction into Korean dramas to be honest. Then, while thrifting one day, my partner found some Korean drama DVDs including Pasta! He recognized Lee from My Mister 😂 and like a great partner, bought them for us to watch. His wife was also in a drama I really enjoyed too called Search: WWW and I didn’t even realized they were married until seeing coverage of his death and recognizing her..
I normally don’t care much about celebrity stuff to be honest. But this whole thing just hit a nerve for me. I lost a parent to suicide as a kid, so I empathize especially with his kids.. it’s a really difficult thing to grapple with and shapes how you view things as you get older. I hope they get as much support as possible ❤
Truly, the most hateful side of k-netizens comes out in times of controversies and it speaks to how powerful public perception is despite the truth. Someone's flaw/mistake spreads(confirmed or not) and viciously, they attack to cause that person's downfall, his life, livelihood, a life's worth of hardwork, down the drain just because of how judgemental the society is. This is the scariest side of k-netizens, truly hateful and with no consequences.
When I heard news that he'd committed suicide, I couldn't believe it. Coffee Prince was one of the first k-dramas I watched, and Parasite is one of my favourite films. He was such a talented actor and seemed like a kind person. Thank you for covering his story Stephanie, I didn't know the ins and outs of it. So angered and upset that we lost another good person.

@@lizcruz6638so if you were an alleged criminal you don't want any protection?

Note to self: when reporting cases of sexual abuse/harassment, include drug abuse allegation in the report.
but there was another case where the rapist was drunk and that actually help the rapist get off on lesser sentence. So essentially the math is, rape and alcohol is ok, only drug is bad.
@@ft.jackjimmy7282 There are several cases like that. The guy who spin kicked a woman and then SA'ed her and the guy who was released from prison not that long ago and the government spend 1 million tax dollars to protect him (Stephanie did episodes on both). They both claimed to be drunk to get a lesser sentence. The crazy thing is they don't even need to prove they were drunk, it's enough to say they were.
Side note: How does this insanity work in drunk driving cases? If the government considers alcohol a mind altering drug (funny how alcohol isn't banned then), technically you should get a reduced sentence there as well.
never mention alcohol use by the abuser though.
*In Korea, there I corrected it for you

Thank you for your compassionate statement about how most people who are dependent or using drugs are hurting on the inside. I know everyone struggles in their own way, but addiction is really so misunderstood and it’s crazy that there’s a place that demonizes it even more than the US.
The fact that people who commit violent crimes and sex crimes are treated better than non violent drug users is so telling. Korea needs to get it together in that regard. This tragedy should’ve never happened and could’ve been avoided.
I am obsessed with the entertaining dramatic way you talk and tell these stories. You have a special talent for making even the most horrific cases much more palatable so Thank you for that!

Two major points to add: 1. Bong Joon Ho, the Parasite director, and the Association of Solidarity of Cultural Arts demanded an investigation into the police’s handling of Lee Sun Kyun’s investigation. Why was so much information provided to KBS, one of the major Korean broadcast networks? KBS also ran provocative pieces on Lee Sun Kyun’s personal life and police investigation updates. 2. Celebrities are being used as distractions from other scandals. In this case, it was the current president of Korea’s wife who was accused of stock manipulation and taking bribes. She recently had another scandal “Dior Bag”. That’s why Bong Joon Ho & the other artists are asking for the investigation - to protect celebrities from being used as easy scapegoats & political armor.
I wish they will pursue with the investigation. RIP Mr Lee, nobody will hurt you anymore. ❤
Did SJ and Nami go to prison?? I waited to heart but it didn’t sound like they got more than a slap on the wrist.
No it wasn't a political distraction thats just a lazy take
Thank you for stating this! Awareness needs to be raised on this as well! Hopefully RT will cover in-depth stories of the current president of SK and his wife.
@@marley9904 They will not though sadly. The prosecutors dismiss cases that don't work in favor of the president, who was formerly the head of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The prosecutors must be free from politics in theory but right now here in SK they are not. It's really messed up. They dig in cases obsessively if they can potentially make the president and the ruling party look good. They leak info to the media, although they shouldn't, and blow things out of proportion on purpose and then, many times, in court they don't even win their cases. But all the public get to know and care is what was covered in the media. And it still helps grow their governing power.
This is shocking! If the US had drug laws this strict, all of Hollywood would be in prison.
Even the cops that pulled over Willie Nelson's bus laughed about the amount of pot that was being smoked.
Yes! Crazy!
as a person who lives in SE Asia and has this strict law, drugs in the US is such a Culture-shock, and it took time for me to dissipate the stigma behind all ppl who use those
it doesn't make sense though. it's such unnecessary stigma. especially surrounding weed and stuff that won't even do much honestly. rarely ever have i seen a drugged person getting violent too. alcohol makes people way more violent than drugs ever could, yet there is no restriction. cigs are way more harmful than a lot of drugs out there yet no restriction. it's very silly and childish
@ozge8262 drugs are prohibited by law for a reason, its a health hazard, addicting and will pose as a social problem, ever seen those news abt certain helpless cities, barely functioning cus of widely distributed drugs, drug addiction epidemic, whilst, Cigs prolly has to do w culture, deeply rooted, its regulated but its hard to ban apparently
The saddest part is that people are so worried about what others think that they'd kill themselves or even others? Society moves onto the next new "story" so fast the current person would be forgotten so fast it's a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Also so sad people have no integrity or compassion.
you've put such a light on to Korean society and literally have me thinking about these cases way too much. I hope this man is at peace, he genuinely seems like a stand up guy.
It's so sad that in his last moments he was in so much suffering. And now that he dies everyone loves him and cares for him after being ripped into shreds by the media
sadly, this is how it's always are.. they hate on a person for smth and as soon as this persom is in really critical conditions they suddenly love them again.. It shouldn't be this way. like wtf is wrong with those people?
I would say they don’t really care for him. They’re voicing support publicly after the fact because they wish to be perceived as virtuous by the living, not out of respect for the dead. It gives them social status in their local and/or online communities since they’re projecting “good person” values and beliefs. It’s a game, one they might not even know they’re playing. They’ll do whatever they can to keep playing.
South Korea is also terrible when it comes to cyber bullying and public crucifying - his death is as much on everyone who harassed him and his family.
This isn't even the first or the biggest. Choi Jin-sil, a national treasure of an actress, exited because of internet rumors. Tablo, a member of Epik High who attended Stanford University had to get the registrar to print his documents on camera because someone online claimed his education record didn't make sense. Should be common sense. Having been a human for literally your whole life, you should know better than to use " having been his fan" to justify his death
@@lindyt3942 How is him allegedly cheating-because it was never proven-your problem?! You should be ashamed for your statement and for thinking anyone deserves this kind of treatment!

Correction : nami's statement was not "suspicious packaging" - it was "suspicious tissue paper", which makes this case even more ridiculous 😭
How ridiculous?? Tissue paper in bathroom??? Insane
This case is so incredibly heartbreaking, he was so talented.
They killed him. He didn’t commit suicide just like all the other celebrities in the counties.
If we held the same standards against drugs in America, we wouldn't have any celebrities.
Half the country would be in jail, because weed and pain killers would be illegal too.
😂😂 I was thinking the same thing, about how different it is here when we find out celebrities are doing drugs, it's just another Tuesday lol. Apparently it's the end of the world in Korea.
oh no we do have the same standards and the same corrupt practices it just happens to those that are non white passing who come from poor backgrounds so nobody really cares about it
But then again, a lot of Hollywood celebrities also hide their addictions so they are not cancelled. Its only when photos or videos are leaked are they known about it and still they are condemned for it. It’s hypocritical the entertainment industry
its like its a well known fact but still a hush hush thing.
@@stickytopics Exactly its not like Celebrities are given a free pass for drug usage in America. Look at Whitney Houston and how people judged her the last couple years of her life despite knowing the struggle she had with them.
About GD: He makes those moments very often. He is known to have anxiety around cameras (he said so in his Motte documentary and other times). If you know him even a little, you know he does "weird" movements and even speaks in a "slurred" way. The fact that he was so quickly accused with no prove is so disgusting and infuriating.
The funniest part is, he's literally in the industry for 30 yrs, the public has watched him act the same for 30 yrs, and suddenly they act like they don't know him and that he has "changed". Crazy people
but he literally got caught for drugs in the past, and even posted a molly pic on ig too because he forgot to switch to his private account so those claims against him were 100% valid. people treating gd like a baby when he's in his mid 30s is so cringey lmao.
@jinlissul I'm not finished the video yet so I don't know what he's accused of, what did he supposedly do?
@jinlissul ouf the only thing I don't care about is the weed and molly stuff (weed is legal here, but even when it's wasnt I don't think weed is a big deal) and as long as he wasn't also selling the pills (he can do what he wants in that regard since it only really effects himself) but EVERYTHING else you mentioned. Wow that's insane, he sounds like a sad sorry and pathetic excuse of a man and human being. It must be frustrating listening to a biased recounting when you know so much of the details of his lore. He sounds horroble
@jinlissul I'm not trying to say anyone else shouldn't think weed is or isnt a big deal? Drugs effect every country so its definitely not that i cant understand the negative effects of drugs, i come from a city that are in an extreme narcotic and opioid crisis and ive lost many people to hard drugs. I'm just saying that if effects no one else but him so me personally, I do not care about him smoking pot or doing recreational drugs as that doesn't speak on his character and pot is less harmful than alcohol. Abusing animals, taking advantage of minors and being an all around pathetic man, that is definitely noteworthy everywhere and absolutely should have been mentioned. But yes, she shouldn't have lied about him doing drugs (but it might be a liability issue if there's no proof, but that's the only valid reason I can come up with, but even then it's solved by mentioning it's alleged so irdk)
the fact that he loves hearing “u did good! I’m so proud of u” but the accusations and the bashing drowned him 😭
I am soo so sad about him💔 Why did this all happen… Rest in peace Ajeossi
Thank you for doing this video and sharing the truth
My criminal law professor says police are the last people that you would want to trust.
as an attorney specializing in labor law; i second that sentiment, but would like to add HR professionals to the list. 😅
Oh thanks for the info 😮
@@hello8899wh Never talk to the police without a lawyer, even if you're not guilty. Especially if you're not guilty. Police will tell you that only guilty people lawyer up: they are lying to you. Don't let them search your home or anywhere without a warrant. Do not talk to them unless they charge you - in many countries you don't have the right to a lawyer unless you're under arrest.
If you live in the US, police are allowed to lie to you (Frazier v Cupp 1969). They also do not have to protect you unless you are in their custody (Warren v District of Columbia 1981 and Castle Rock v Gonzales 2005). That 2005 case is particularly heartbreaking.

As a Substance Rehabilitation Support Worker, I would like to state for the record that dyeing one's hair does NOT render it unusable for drug testing. Hair on the head is ALWAYS the preferred hair to use for drug testing. Underarm hair, chest hair, and pubic hair can also be used depending on length. Leg hair is hardly ever used, and this is because it is just too short to test, it has nothing to do with its thinness.
When drug testing hair, if the test needs to show the last 6 to 8 months, then there must be a decent enough length of hair to test.
So the best thing to do would be getting a haircut... interesting.
Thanks for that info. Gd hair is not dyed though.
@MaiaPalazzo If someone has given themselves a buzz cut (when that is not their usual style) before a hair strand test, then we would take underarm hair, chest hair, or pubic hair. In a case where the courts have demanded a hair strand test, cutting all your hair off would be seen as a blatant attempt to ruin the hair strand test.
Most blackmailers wont stop as long as they have their leverage against you.

My ex did this and I just told everyone everything and he looked like a sad little boy 😂
I loved Lee and how he played in “Parasite “,this story broke my heart like a thousand times.so much love for you guys from Iran.
His character in Parasite was named Nathan Park, and he was the rich father.
Rotten cops interrogated my little brother for 15hrs when he was like 11yo's for an arson of a furniture store that the estimated costs by insurance was like 9 million dollars...
My little brother was so sweet and even a little anxious before this happened but he still wound up holding strong and not give the cops a fake coerced confession.
My other two fruends involved were not nearly as strong ans one kid admitted under coercion that he did it and the other kid (my bestfriend at time) tried to pin it on my little brother.
After that experience i was proud of my brother and how he was strong and brave enough to not crumple under pressure by nasty detectives looking for a promotion or scapegoat to pin it on.
However the mental damage was already done after this experience, and it changed my little brothers mental health drastically...
Dont ever think that someones position in life inherently makes them honest and trustworthy.
At 15yo's cameron (not my best friend) was convicted of arson and sentenced to live in a halfway home until 18 and pay back millions for something he didnt do and was forced to take the blame for simply cause no one was in his corner to help him. (Parents were meth heads)
I still harbor so much guilt because if i had not stayed in for that skate session, i could've handled those cops instead.
The reason why Lee’s fans wrote ‘Goodbye my ajussi’ is because the actor was widely loved for his role in TV series ‘나의 아저씨‘ (My ajussi). Ajussi is a Korean word used to refer to a male senior, around an age similar to the father of a speaker. It can be used in friendly or in insulting tone, but in the show it is used with fondness .. The actor’s acting is great in the show, and I highly recommend it.
His wife was more well-known in the industry for her acting when they first met, and I recommend series ‘WWW’ that she stars in. She is a great actor and I really hope she is handling the situation well with her family.
The another reason Lee felt so devastated was the huge cancellation charges the family had to face because of the police investigation. He was pressured about the debt he and his family had to face, and he mentioned it in his will that his death will solve the problem for the family .. I personally think that he actually was a nice husband and father, which made him feel more humiliated of the media’s exposures.
As a Korean I feel really sorry for him, but still many Koreans feel confused and frustrated about his image. I hope he gets his name cleaned as time goes by. The director of the ‘parasite’ and co-workers of him in the industry has published the statement urging the public to protect human rights and privacy of celebrities.
The cancellation culture in Korea is no joke. I remember the case with Tablo from Epik High and how he felt so sad and useless, he couldn’t make music, his music wasn’t playing anymore and worst this affected his band mates AND his wife. I’m so glad he made it through
i can't remember what 'auntie' is
He destroyed his own life
@@caliginousmoira8565 auntie is E-mo (이모) !!!
The cancel culture, the media, the blackmailers, and most definitely the police destroyed his life, the fact you can rape or murder someone in Korea and get off with basically a slap on the wrist, but smoking pot gets you life in prison basically just kills me, make it make sense.
So many more celebrities were thrown out into the media, and all were extremely big names like Blackpink member who I will not specifically name as well as the worlds most popular group BTS & also a specific member again whom I will not name were also dragged by press, wonder if it was just media trying to get headlines, or the police implying or leaking names just because of their huge status to get more promotions, or Korean netizens or fans who are anti’s of these people or groups trying to hurt them, don’t know, but it’s really messed up that 2 women who are drug users and associates with drug suppliers are still living will one day get out of prison and do this again, but a celebrities life/career is over is extremely sad, more needs to be done to protect them and the Korean government and police authorities need to re-evaluate what is worse, going against drugs, which is bad & can cause death, or ppl who rape women & children and ppl who murder, to me the later is more important to go after with the energy the Korean government and police authorities give to a drug case trying to put an A- lister actor/artist to than an unknown that won’t give them promotions.
Yoon like Trump need to be banished from society
That GD Interview was 🔥
Lee Sun kyun was an actor, had a family, he did not had the option of being able to behave like GD and that is so sad. He was not able to defend himself and he felt so suffocated that he made a BIG decision.
I used to love kpop and kdramas but more and more I see and hear them less, I can’t help but remember how awful that industry and Korean society is to them.
I used to be a big fan when I was a teenager - but now as an adult, I would visit South Korea only if I had a trusted friend with me. I did visit South Korea as a college student, but I went with Korean friends and they protected me a lot. Lots of these young kpop fangirls go to South Korea expecting like the kdrama guys, but it’s not reality.
I remember the exact moment I saw the news of his death shared by his agency in a Belgian news site while I was coming back from the grocery store and walking in a peaceful park. I had to sit down on a bench for a while. All I could think was, "He was so young…". I thought he was sick; it hurts to hear his story… Especially how the police behaved. They are supposed to protect people, not put them in danger… I lost my faith in justice a long time ago… Hearing this made me even sadder. Sending my prayers to his family, friends, and fans.
I cried when hearing the news about he's suspected using drugs,
Cried again when hearing the drug test results were negative,
Deeply broken hearted when hearing the news that he passed away suspected by committing suicide.
It's not suicide, he's being murdered by Korean police, media, government, blackmailers and most importantly Korean netizen. Who knows that he's actually being murdered by those who desperately want the taste of big promotion and money.
Last, I cried watching this.
It's crazy the sickness of fame.

It didn't serve the supposed drug investigation in any way. It had no business being put into that investigation or in front of the public. It was a blatant attempt of character assassination of someone they realized they couldn't pin anything substantial on otherwise.
So no, NOTHING was proven as far as the factuality or the actual extent of supposed adultery goes. Were there unsavory implications? Maybe. Proof? Nope. But it served the police well in covering up their own failure... at least until he chose to exit it all.

I'm so late to the news of everything in the korean entertainment industry since nowadays I have no energy to keep up with kpop and kdrama. I had this played cause I needed background noise but I got sucked into every bit of the story. Thank you for Rotten Mango for also highlighting the good moments of actor Lee Sun Kyun. The more and more the video played on, I felt angry, sad and helpless. As someone who suffers depression and loneliness, endured the grief of losing their favorite singer SHINee's Jonghyun due to suicide and also personally had a friend who took her own life, my heart cries for Lee Sun Kyun even if I barely knew him but the glimpse of his acting through Parasite the movie. I couldn't help but shake the grim thoughts of how lonely he might have felt during the end of his life, to be misunderstood and even if you shout for the truth, no one wants to hear you. Not even his children could've kept him from choosing the dark road ahead... I can't believe it all started from women who were just greedy and selfish, not that they had some persona vendetta against him but personally, I hate the police even more. I keep Lee Sunkyun in my prayers next to Jonghyun, Sulli and Goo Hara as well. I definitely cried while watching and as I am typing this cause I don't know where else to project these thoughts. Thank you for making this video and bringing the story to light.
