The first restaurant combines bun and spring rolls. It’s so convenient to eat two kinds of food at one time!
At the second restaurant, you discovered that the biggest danger of eating on the street is getting splashed with sewage. Your expression was so cute, haha!
The third restaurant is very similar to a Stir-fries (Stir-fried Food) Restaurant/Shop in Taiwan. I wonder if you have tried it before, I believe you will like it!
That bowl of noodle soup at the fourth restaurant is so rich in ingredients and looks so appealing!
The fifth restaurant sells not only noodles, but also human touch. Everyone sits on the chair and eats noodles together. It feels very warm!

We so sure that the 1st combination is not only convenient, it's also real tasty (much depends on the good sauce, in fact).
To be honest, I have never considered Bún chả giò to be a combination of two kind of food. Like... who eats only noodles, right? it would be tastless. they must have something to go with the noodles. But maybe it's because of the food culture that I grew up with is different to the others.

They didn't invent that. That is a normal Viet food dish. Bun and spring rolls and pork.

There are many Vietnamese restaurants in the US and even on Facebook, they ship Vietnamese foods from fruits to snacks to your house. Just look around where you live if you live nearby Vietnamese community. Foods in the US is much safer than in Vietnam. There was just a case of food poisoning in Vietnam involved more than 300 victims. Food poisoning in Vietnam happens like on a daily basis from children in schools to outside foods.

My husband and I just went back to Vietnam for 2.5 weeks, mostly family matters but we did enjoy our stay, minus the heat and traffic noises. I can make most of the Vietnamese dishes in the US but I cannot find fresh meat or snails like those they have in Vietnam. In short, we really enjoyed the snail dishes we had in Vietnam. Your video just makes us wanting another trip back already, and we had just arrived home yesterday! lol...

For those that haven't experienced broken rice, the fine texture completely changes the mouth feel compared to a whole grain rice. To me it's almost like couscous. Thanks again for another great video Max!!

Unfortunately at nearly 83 my mouth no longer has many teeth to enjoy all these eats, but I started out having free lunch and dinner in the Saigon of 1966 at my future mother-in-law's house, and later for 13 years of marriage with one of the author's (with my daughter) of a VN cookbook here in the U.S.A. When she operated a VN restaurant in Honolulu for a while, it was absolutely delightful to sup on pho made with beef bones so soft you could actually eat them whole. Now its only the soft stuff, like banh xeo.
I've been having Max withdrawals and been wondering what happened to you! So glad to finally see you again! Love the new style but I also like the OG as well. Watching your videos inspire me to get cooking Vietnamese again. I wish I had more Vietnamese restaurants n peeps around where I live. 😊

you NEED to try Com Tam Thành in Thủ Đức , their cha is housemade and it's soft and juicy unlike any other cha I've had before. Ate that growing up and I still dream about it ever since I moved fifteen years ago. incredible.
