Hey! I’m trying to use the ts1000 for some seedlings, but the heat is too much as I don’t have any cooling in my veg tent atm. I know hanging it at 30inches at 100% is about perfect, but I’m trying to lower the power to 50% and hang it closer to get rid of some heat. Do you remember what height you set it at for 50% power for seedling ? Thank you in advance. Ooh but you were talking about the ts2000. Oops . Still, any recommendation for height at 50% with the ts1000 for seedling ?
Hi there. Did the TS 1000 dimmer arrive out of the box set to maximum output or did you need to adjust/increase the brightness yourself after hanging. I’m not sure if I’m running at full power and I don’t have the tool needed to adjust. Did it arrive set up at 100% output? Thanks
@@downwithprohibition7364 fantastic i just added a second 2x4. With two of the 1000s so excited to see the outcome. My first tent is under viperspectra 600 and a Apollo 300 great lights they just put out alot of heat. You think these too 1000s will be cooler. Of course with all ventilation and fans
It still runs within temps but yeah it should have some sort of cooling or wind blowing on it at least. It does run fairly warm in open air. Even on my test I had the ceiling fan on blowing air down on the unit.
I guess it depends on what you mean by better or what is more important to you. You get little bit bigger of a footprint and higher par with the ts1000 over the spider farmer 1000 but you get better components with the sf 1000 lol both current generations are nice..
Nice video but I recently started to run around 1200-1800 par across my canopy and it increased my yield by alot.. also I get few liter coke bottle sized buds now before when I ran 900 par I never saw them.
Nice man i would like to see that setup. How much co2 are you running. I have never seen a grow with that level of light on the plants. What meter are you using to test?
You dont need co2 but it def helps at that level. The sun is around 1250 to 1400 so ppl saying 956 is too high is too high and confused about what these plants like and need for intended yeilds
@@downwithprohibition7364 I run 1500 ppm of co2. It works out pretty well but some of my huge buds like to mold on me. I use the sun system par meter without a remote sensor.
Fair question if you are looking at pure output the viparspectra lights still overpower these but if you are looking at efficiency then the 1000 is the way to go as it only uses half the power for a reasonable amount of light. For me its still hard to say till we see a side by side with the same genetics. I am getting great results with my vipars though. We will have to setup a side by side on our next grow and put them to the test to know for sure.
@@downwithprohibition7364 just throwing out random numbers but is the viparspectra is listed at 200w actual power how many fans are contributing to that wattage?
I just noticed that you said the 450. I have only tested the 600 watt models that pull 267 true watts. I imagine the par would be a bit lower on the 450.. I believe the fans pull about 9 watts per fan acording to some people in the led builders groups of on facebook.

Hi thereWhich model would you recommend for a room that is 9 1/2 inches tall is 17 feet wide open grow room and how many ? Looking to do 12 to 24 plants
I would go with the mars ts 3000 model just due to the footprint it has. You would need a few though to do a full room that size. It's going to cost you but these lights will give you the most bang for your buck Those lights give you aa 5x5 veg and 4x4 bloom. Here is a link for them amzn.to/2NSDPdU
@@hairstondeondre3755 well if you were able to grow 6 under each light you would only need 2 but that would be tight in my opinion. If you are topping then 4 plants in a 4 by 4 foot area is perfect. If not topping them maybe 6 under it. I would say 3 lights for that many plants to be comfortable
Down With Prohibition 1 More question is There any other Mars Hydro light system that you recommend that will help me out and also thank you very much for replying back and give me advice I really appreciate
@@hairstondeondre3755 For the footprint you are looking for these are your best bet. They do make blurple lights but these ts series lights are far more efficient and will give you a better end result. They are a very competitive light on the market for that coverage.
I use a LED Full Spectrum Grow Bulb , using for 1 plant ( 4 settings, Seedling, Growth or Veg, Flower and Switch i.e. Male to Female vice versa) Plant is 3 feet in Veg Stage in a 48x24x60 Grow Tent. I use a reflector mat and wrap around the Grow Bulb that hangs down around Plant. Its helpful due to minimizing space to get as much light flow as possible. Its working as an amplifier of light to plant as I notice some of lower Kolas and top Kolas growing out sideways as those Kolas are under bigger Kolas. If I didnt use a reflector mat wrap to minimize open space to direct light all around Plant, the lower Kolas and other Kolas under bigger ones, they most likely grow slower. Remember that light spectrum will bounce off or redirect light from any material that reflects light. Im planning to do same wrap around method when I get the Mars ts1000. Like I mentioned of using wrap around reflector mat, the Kolas under bigger ones are growing out sideways due to light bouncing back in a more confined space.
