Same here. I do a lot of DIY repairs around the trailer and I fix the car a lot with my phone around me, so this phone wouldn’t last that long with me lol my iPhone 12 has done great with its protective case, but I’m looking at the Armor 24 as my next phone in February.
Plenty of people complaining in China precisely because of that. They only last about a weak before the screen gives up if you don't end up folding it wrong and replacing the screen costs almost half of the phone.

I think this was expected. Considering it's build. Though a feat of engineering, Huawei themselves probably knew it was definitly not very durable. That's why it comes with a small sheet telling you the phones' vulnerabilities, and why they offer screen replacement warranties and repairs for free when you buy the phone

Nothing new or innovative. It's the same internal as other foldable with an additional screen. Other companies can do it but they aren't making it because it's not ready for prime time. Btw they are using 7nm 3-4 yr old soc technology. New iPhones and Galaxy phones are 3nm.

not very long time... any folding/flipping phone is made of the same polymer screen with a *very* thin layer of glass behind it. it's very difficult to bend glass so compromises have to be made.

not very long time... any folding/flipping phone is made of the same polymer screen with a *very* thin layer of glass behind it. it's very difficult to bend glass so compromises have to be made.
