- The latest version of the MARS HYDRO TS1000 LED grow light for a 2.5ft x 2.5ft or 80cm x 80cm grow space.
The light draws 145 Watts from the wall and at 30cm or 12" hanging height delivers an average PAR of 510 µmols/m²/second which is a good level. The system efficiency is 1.96 µmols/watt (usable PPF/watt)

Its a great budget light, perfict to learn how to grow .
Outstanding as usual ,Thank you
Great light.

Very good channel complimets. Can i have a question on this light, when i dimmer to 50% how many watts does it draw? thank you
Besides the dimmer whats else is different about this ts 1000 update? I notice its being hung at 12 inches and space increase to 2.5 x 2.5. If grow room was converted back to 2x2 will there be any difference
Great Budget light if your watching what power you are pulling out of the wall.
Van you please tell something about how high the board mist hanging in the different stages of the grow?
I just received my second ts 1000 but it's got the most driver instead of the shezem and the board is also different, less red, do you know if I could daisy chain the two of them together?
I like the Design so much Hammerd Alu really nice!
My TS600 is creating way too much heat for my little tent, and probably a bit too bright for seedlings since I can;t raise it any higher. Would TS1000 be a good upgrade in order to reduce the temperature output and light stress? I really like the dimming feature and detachable power supply on TS1000, but not sure how efficient it is. Thanks!
Great info 💡👍
I have two TS1000s and I got to say I 💗 em
@MIGRO could you please tell me if you have to do anything with the lights to turn from veg to flower? Or is it just down to the switching from 18hr to 12hr? Thank you in advance for any advice given.
This light don't have any switches veg/flo, full spectrum all time. You only change to 12/12, unless you have autoflowers, then 18/6 all time ;-)
Informative as usual, I'm looking to upgrade my TS 600, thank you for your time cheers.

The Mars hydro TS-600 doesn't have a dimmer could I use a fan speed controller like the Cdmall Electronic Fan Speed Controller from Amazon to dim the light? It's to bright for seedlings and I can't raise it up any higher in the space I'm using it in.
I had a question with the dimmer does does mars hydro ts1000 stay at 150 watts if lower the dimmer or does decrease wattage?
Could this be fitted to a lite rail so they can be kept closer to canopy
Straight up no BS well done!
One day Migro will also offer value like this, people hate on Marshydro buttttt it's cheap.... you can get them in bulk for like 70 usd no tax these ones , that's a win in my book ..

Hello again I was thinking about getting a Mars FC 3000 but after seeing that you can adjust the bars on the FC E 3000 I was thinking that could be handy. My question is in your opinion is bridgelux chips okay or is it a better idea to get the FC and not worry about the adjustable bars? Thanks brother
the fc has Samsung diodes and Meanwell drivers, ie the same components as an HLG light. they are pretty much the best components money can buy, and will last a good bit longer/be more efficient than the FC E, just my 2c.
Manufacturer suggest 24” from the canopy and Shane suggests 12”. Anytime I’ve tried to lower the light below 24” I found it doing bad things to my plants. I’ve only been growing for a year so maybe I am not lowering it at the right incriminates, I don’t know?
Just ordered 1 along with a taller tent for my Northern Light. She’s almost touching the light which is the reason for the taller tent and is just going into flower which is the need for the higher intense light. Going from a 2x2x4 with a TS600(100w) to a 2.5x2.5x5.5 with the ts1000(150w). 50% increase in light with more room to stretch her legs equals a happier ME!!

Hey Shane how about performing a part test with the drivers detached surely the reduction in heat would have increased efficiency
Hi Joshua,
Removing the driver will not effect the efficiency of the fixture, it will lower temps but that's it.
I have 3 daisy chained in my 5x5 and the plants love it. Like to see you test 3 of them daisy chained together and do some PAR readings.
@Trib Ulation triangle for now. Buying a 4th to run side by side here soon. This grow I’m currently running is in flower and vigorously producing with the current configuration. 😎🤙💚🌱
Tried detaching the drivers and getting them away from the board, I was shocked at 18 inches the next day I started to get leaf Curl or taco affect Due to the increased efficiency of the diodes at a cooler temperature room is running 77 seen a study that at 326k Which converts to about 120f or 58Celsius LEDs can have up to 20% reduction in lumens surely this equates to PPFD as well I’d love to see Shane do a test with some of these quanta board style lights without the drivers attached Surely his efficacy tests would be increased

If you master the other important factors , yes the ts1000 would give u a benefit gain over 2 ounces more denser buds
@@89turbomk3 i did upgrade from the ts600 to ts1000 and im very impressed with the results
I haven't tried those, I have a number of Spider Farmer sf1000 boards with the dimmer, and a few other ones from different companies as well. I've heard that the newer MarsHydro TS1000+ series are better value than the SF series from the aforementioned company.
I'm, using a Marshydro FC-E3000 bar style that I recently purchased and the greater number of Bridgelux diodes +Osrams don’t match the Samsung LM 301d +Osrams used in the FC-3000-6500, so the optimum flower hight is lower, but it is still an amazing value that their products are bringing with a more even PPFD spread for the price. I love the 100w QB's for their high PPFD dead center which is excellent for 1 plant, but when growing shorter compact plants in a tent an even PAR reading gives the best results in my humble opinion.

She's a good little light for a small tent but like you said LEDs keep evolving, the bar style is the new standard better coverage and light distribution
I don’t see bars giving better distribution than a panel.
@@pjarma8536 the bar lights really do give better coverage than a panel but aren't as strong or intense as a bored light so in flower with the bar light's the buds won't be as big or dense unless you are useing a very expensive bar light that's at least 600 watt's, that would be the best light to buy if you can afford it, I myself can't I always buy the smaller cheaper lights, and keep the good one's only.
@@DJTechnoboom yeah that’s what I suspected. Bar lights hold less diodes in an area than cb’s so can’t distribute as much light. Maybe better for budget grows but when you want quality in your buds then daisy chaining in the same grow space would deliver a lot more light. I would like to see a comparison on those.
@Mars Hydro Factory So has the tsw 2000 been updated ? If so, What's better now ? Thanks in advance for your time !
Since this video was posted mars hydro have change the placement of the LEDs on the ts1000. They have put more towards the side of the light to make a more even spread of light

@@shaneburnett380 i think you can Daisy chain your 2 ts1000 , these 2 lamp have same dimming method , try to connect them .
Hi Shane. I love your channel and you're an excellent engineer with an eye for the important details. I never miss a video. Can I suggest a couple of things? The units for total efficiency should be micromoles/second per Watt of consumed power or micromoles per Joule of consumed energy. The PPFD is a flux density, so it has units of micromoles/sec/meter^2. When you integrate the PPFD over the canopy surface you will get the PPF in micromoles/second. Everyone is going to understand your videos because you're clear and consistent and do fair comparisons, but I thought I'd help a bit with the units. Cheers -- Dave
Hi Dave, I know I am technically incorrect with the units but I think PAR/watt is easier to understand and therefore more useful. Of course you are correct and I will go to engineering hell in the next life
@@MIGROLIGHT Hi Shane, No worries. I'm already in engineering hell. Here we use strange things like inches and cups. Best.
