Thank you so much Ana 😊 I’ve been wanting one of the wattage meters for a while just to check exactly how much power these grow lights are using. All the plants will definitely be happy over the winter time. Thank you for watching and commenting as always Ana, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful weekend 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜☕️
I agree, there’s some amazing grow lights on the market now and with the LED ones the technology and efficiency is improving all the time. Thank you for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day and weekend 😊🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Wow Daz, what an excellent demonstration and review on the Mars Hydro TS 1000 LED Grow Light. The part where you only focused on the Grow Light itself looked so professionally executed. I’m optimistic your already happy plants are going to show even more and faster growth. Are every pot you have in that room? Fantastic cacti collection. Thumbs up 👍 and I hope you both are having a wonderful day.
Thank you so much Molly 😊 This’ll definitely keep the plants happy for over winter. About 60% of the plants are in that room now with the ones that were brought in from the greenhouse. I’ll be doing another tour soon of the other plants that you’ve not seen for a while 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting as always Molly, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful weekend 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

If you mean the TS-600 then yes that’s a good light, I use it as well, although this one has more LEDs, higher PAR reading and a higher wattage. If yours is the older 1000 model then yeah they’re pretty much identical minus the dimmer box/daisy chain. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
Great video. I’ve had this lights for a couple months now but never thought to remove the blue plastic 😅 and I just realized I can remove the driver and the dimmer box and move it outside the tent to reduce the heat.
Haha yes I was thinking of removing the driver as well now I have this light inside a grow tent. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
@@Cactimania so I removed the driver today but ended up putting it back on the light because I wasn't sure where to leave the driver 😅 the wall and the tent both didn't feel like good options seeing how hot the driver gets

These look like great lights!! I guess we have the cannabis growers in this country to thank for these advances in grow light technology since many states here are legal. The only thing is , I've seen Ana, Lyn& Hans& yourself receive these lights from Mars hydro and you would think they would put in some cool cactus/ Euphorbia/ succulents stickers in there for you guys. Since that's what they are sending this light to be tested with, these plants!!! Hahaha! How's about some good ol cactus stickers Mars hydro??! For us cactus guys!!! Hahaha! Nothing against cannabis growers. Since they probably are responsible for bringing this light tech, but we like our cactus/ Euphorbia & succulents!!! Well Daz, you will have to let us know one day which of all these lights you like best. I'm new with these. I have a couple 1000 watt lights of the old " color" lights. But I like the white light of these newer types much better!! From Morris park in the Ozarks, to the U.K. & Singapore have a wonderful weekend guys!!!! Peace,Love,Plants!!!!✌💖🌵🌸🌷🌴🌻🌿🌹🌳
Thank you so much Clyde 😊 Yeah these lights are very popular with the cannabis growers. It’s amazing how much better the technology with these grow lights is progressing, getting better and more efficient all the time. I agree, we need some cactus and succulent stickers haha. I will definitely do a round up of all the grow lights at some point and which one I like the most 👍🏻 Thank you for watching and commenting as always my friend, from Edith & myself to you and Deb, have a wonderful weekend 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Yes, that plate under the driver gets pretty hot. Probably not hot enough to melt it but that plate acts as a heat dissipater so leaving that plastic on probably isn’t a good idea. Cheers for watching and commenting 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Fantastic video Daz, lots of information... Your cactus are very spoilt now with all those grow lights! Can you screw those threaded eye hooks straight into the ceiling in any location ... Always worries me incase they fall out if they're not properly held in place😬 🍂🌵🍁🌵🍂🌵🍁👌🏻😉
Thank you so much Claire 😊 Haha yeah they’re definitely spoilt, should be happy for over the winter. I think the lights would be ok hanging from the hooks if they were screwed straight into the ceiling, but just to be extra safe I made sure the hooks went into the beam. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, from Edith & myself, have a wonderful Monday and week 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜
In the manual it does recommend different height/light intensity for veg/flower stage. With the types of plants I’m growing under it it doesn’t make much difference though. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
I've heard the 600 is just as good for the same space as using the 1000ts ..hep what's the difference as its big difference in price.edit is it better than spider farmers help me decide
I’d say there is a big difference. I’ve had much better growth on plants using the TS1000, it’s more powerful, covers a wider area and has the handy dimming function whereas the TS600 does not. There’s not much to choose between the TS1000 and the Spider Farmer SF1000. Although after a wattage test the Mars Hydro came out the box at 150watts and the Spider Farmer SF1000 came out at 100watts. Hope this helps 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
@@Cactimania so the spider should be cheaper to run as the power bills are through the roof .if you had to use only one from now on wht would you choose.thanks for your input I'm going from old skol hps that I've used for years but they cost a fortune to rum and bulbs are 30 pounds or 50 dollars
Mine has a switch on the back, it just turns on full power but why? Also when they say hang the light 24-30 inches etc from the canvas is that the floor or the ceiling of the grow tent?
The switch on the back activates/deactivates the dimming function. With the height it usually means the distance from the top of the plants, at least that’s what I measure the distance by. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
I’m not familiar with that grow light. It really depends on what you’re growing and your available space. But this TS1000 is a very good light, so far for my uses I can’t fault it. The dimming and daisy chain feature are handy as well, not sure if that other light has that on it. Thank you for watching and commenting. Happy growing 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜

@@domen3277 well the Lumatek is a bigger light, more wattage and higher price than the TS1000, but if that’s not an issue then go for that one. I can’t give an honest opinion on it as I’ve never used or tested a Lumatek grow light, I can only give my opinion on the Mars Hydro TS1000, which overall is a fantastic grow light. 👍🏻🌵☀️🌼🏜
Around 50% brightness and height between 12 and 15 inches is good to start with. If the seedlings turn red then lower the brightness or increase the height.
