Even six years later, I still consider this one of the most fun episodes of Doctor Who I've seen in the modern era of the show. Smith and Tennant have such amazingly fun chemistry together that I find myself fervently hoping there's another reunion episode in the near future! Smith really showcases how hyper and energetically boy-ish Eleven is.
"Ooh! He's cool! Isn't he cool? I'm the Doctor and I'm all cool! Whoops! I'm wearing SAND SHOES!!!" while he waves his arms about and at times LITERALLY runs away in circles.
The War Doctor's later comment, "Are you capable of talking without flapping your arms?" pokes fun at this a bit, but also shows that, for whatever else Moffat's flaws were in his writing technique, he really understood the importance of each Doctor having his own mannerisms.
If only Chris Chibnall understood that.

This is an exception: Their interaction doesn't result in events contradicting themselves, since the War Doctor and his next incarnation won't retain the memories. Keep in mind, other incarnations of time lords/ladies have had this happen, where they cannot retain information from when they interacted with their future selves.
Edit: Long overdue.
@Tezza's Tutorials, same thought.
In the old episode with Rose's father I remember Doctor telling Rose something like "whatever you do, don't touch your young self", and now this.
@Leonion6 That was because there was already a massive paradox there, Rose having saved her father. Nothing about the Doctors interacting is a direct paradox on that scale, unless they do something to alter their history, preventing the meeting from happening in the first place.
Tezza's Tutorials yep but there were all thirteen in this movie.

Tezza's Tutorials It's been done 2x before, but I can't remember how they explained it.
I cannot help but laugh every time at “Oh! Lovely!” When they put on their glasses
I love how they flipped both there wand tools in sync lmao
I love that Ten puts on the hat, because it makes complete sense. An alien vortex opens and a hat falls out, then a lifeform emerges. The Doctor is thinking "why the hat?" maybe it serves some purpose. Maybe it helps with communicating. So what do you do with hats? You wear them. So first thing he does is put it on. Except for the fact that it doesn't help at all, serves no purpose, and just makes him look silly. That's so the Doctor.
This is a guy who spent years wearing a piece of celery. A fez is a step up when you think about it:)
That's probably why 11 liked the Fez. Cause 10 liked it and brought it into his next regeneration. Also because it had significant use so he needed to keep it around.
And also, this stuff is normal for him... Sooooo, in a logical sense, he will wear the fez without any questions, this stuff is basically his normal saturdays

I think the reason that 10 and 11 get along so well is because, unlike the previous times the Doctor ran into his other incarnations, they were no longer sick and tired of the “meddling” Time Lords. Now, despite friends who come and go, both are pretty extremely lonely, so instead of being annoyed, they are both basking in the delight of being with another Time Lord, even if they are technically the same Time Lord. If you notice, at first the War Doctor acts extremely annoyed by the whole business, the way classic Doctor’s would have.
Yet I feel the ones that truly got along the best were the ones we got recently (14 and 15)
That hug was so much needed ❤

@@MovieMagic515 Thats a fair reason. He may have made jokes at times but he was more of a serious doctor.

SuperHitman55 one problem, that's the 1st doctor not the 9th
UF 0 "1st", you mean the war doctor?
I’ve never been a fan of the Eccleston incarnation of the Doctor. I much prefer having the John Hurt War Doctor here.
LightniingBlood yup he is
I REMEMBER HIS FEZ!! I USED TO DRAW FEZZES ON EVERY CHARACTER WHEN DRAWING BECAUSE OF THIS 🤣😂
3:15 Clara: “Who are you talking to?”
10th and 11th: “Myself.”
One of my favorite lines in this anniversary movie.
OMG THE GLASSES PART 😂😂😂
Hahah! YES!
too funny
aaah lovely
Spud620 *points fingers at the glasses*
+Mikalton Ohh, lovely!
I'm starting to get really sick about meeting myself.
Ah classic Doctor.... You'll always find yourself somewhere.
Ah yes, the Five (albeit with 1 missing) Doctors... How are Tegan and Turlough?
Sadly Doctor, it's unavoidable. Considering the amount of traveling through time and space you've done, it would be inevitable for you to be meeting yourself at some point.
Hello myself.
The 7th doctor Eh, you're wearing a hat! I like hats. I'm glad I will be wearing hats in the future.
I still love how Matt bobs his head when he opens up his Sonic Screwdriver 💀💀💀
"What you do in the privacy of your own regeneration is your business..." is classic!
I wish the 9th doctor was more of a main character in day of the Doctor. He's very underrated
Sadly Christopher Eccleston refused.
I know right! It would be brilliant if he could though
+Linda He Because Eccleston refused Moffatt wrote in the War Doctor... so...
+Jeekay Tenn wait...he was going to be the war Doctor????
Linda He I guess yes.
I like how the 1st thing David Tennant does was to wear the Fez
I love that as well ;)
You see a fez, you put it on. It's only natural.
I would spin it away.
2:31 best interaction between the Doctors
Oh look, it’s Daemon and Aegon II’s dad
2:31 10 & 11 at the same time “Oh lovely” I cried😂
As someone said women act like that when the compare shoes or handbags.
Don't forget 3:16
search up on youtube "dont blink im human" its abit messed up
A perfect episode with 2 of my favourite Doctors
Matt Smith and David Tennant,
Your legacy will live on forever
They are the only 2 doctors in my book.
@@davevd9944
nah Peter Capaldi, Matt Smith & David are my Doctors
@J LOCC except a woman
Or is more Mirror Sombra and Sonantfall
@J LOCC they are all different, one is battle worn (9) one is skinny and sassy, and after rose is grieving (10) one is goofy and child like (11) one is scottish (12) and one is your mum trying to be funny (13)
I remember getting so excited when they showed this. It was amazing. My two favorite Doctors
Dr.Who: No Way Home
"Regeneration, its a lottery."
Unless you force yourself to look like that guy from Pompeii to remind yourself that you're The Doctor and you save people!
search up on youtube "dont blink im human" its abit messed up
Oh, he's cool. Isn't it cool? I am The Doctor and I am all cool. Oops I'm wearing SANDSHOES!
@@otisb.torrance8060 What are you doing here, I'm busy!
@@Jarock316 Oh busy! I see is that what we’re calling it eh eh?! Hello ladies.
@@jokerknight1247 Oh don't start!
I really wish Christopher Eccleston had accepted the offer to be on this...
SAME
The sass levels would've been off the charts
Every time I watch a clip from this era I get totally immersed in it, and it’s quite shocking when it ends.
I still couldn’t believe this happened when I was 13.
Ten: "One of them is a Zygon."
Eleven: Eurgh.. I'm not judging you.
Because Zygons are apparently great kissers as we learned
R.I.P John Hurt you beautiful person
His dead
@@TeDoGBi Which is why he/she said RIP...
Hahah i giggled at the glasses "ohh."😂😂love this
We need more 10 and 11 doctor collabs. They are the perfect duo.
