@Kingofnerds77 I am, yes. Malleus Scotorum (Hammer of the Scots) are the words inscribed on the tomb of Edward I, King of England. He was renowned for his many wars and battles against Scotland, in his attempts to subjugate and conquer the Kingdom. In other words, in constantly fighting and defeated them, he "hammered" them.
@Kingofnerds77 Kind? Good god no. He was a figure of uncompromising strength, authority, power and security. He rescued the Monarchy from the days of his weak father, Henry III. He laid the foundations for Parliament, where I would argue he was the first Monarch to truly do so. He was known as the English Justinian, for his law reforms were vast, expansive and overwhelming. He was a deeply religious man who stayed faithful to both of his wives throughout his life - and being deeply in love with the first. He cultivated a court of chivalry and was obsessed with the legends of King Arthur. He was also the first to break the Norman traditions of his forefathers and spoke English as well as having a distinctly Anglo-Saxon name, which he kept after his Coronation. That is not to say he was WHOLLY benevolent, far from it. He expelled the Jews from England to seize their assets to pay for a Crusade. They would not be allowed back until Oliver Cromwell. He conquered Wales and imposed on that country an unruly, harsh, arguably racist regime which affected the relationship between those countries until the present day. In his conquests, his wrath was incredible. As a teenager, he had his family's baronial rival, Simon de Montfort, ripped apart as a lesson. When he laid siege to Sterling Castle, he ordered the castle be fired upon with a Trebuchet simply because he wanted to test out the new invention - which was AFTER the castle had surrendered, mind you. And, as I mentioned, he was obsessed with King Arthur BUT he used that to his advantage to crush any Celtic hopes of their King coming back from the dead to save them from the English. Overall, like any historical figure, he was an intensely complicated man. He was what a Monarch should be - harsh but not cruel. Strong but not overwhelming. Forceful but not tyrannical.

moths are great 12 was pretty great with Clara and Bill. I think part of the reason why was because people weren’t particularly fond of Clara and when she left they were happy to have another companion. With Amy, pretty much everyone loved her and Rory so it really hurt to see them leave. They also had great chemistry with the doctor so it would take a while for any companion to replace them.
i feel like the doctor really latches onto the first person he sees in his newest regeneration, for example rose with 10th, amy with 11th and clara with 12th. we dont count the 13th doctor for unrelated reasons
"Stop talking. Brain thinking. Hush" "Anderson stop talking you lower the IQ of the entire street." If the doctor met Sherlock there would definatly be alot of ego!!!

Roary: "wow wow wow stop don't do that we're nice" Doctor: "I've never been threatened with a chair leg before" Amy: "wait did you just say 'don't do that we're nice?"
This was the peak of Doctor Who after the reboot. The Rose era will always be my favourite due to nostalgia and David Tennant being my favourite Doctor, but the Ponds and the 11th Doctor definetely had the best story and possibly the best chemistry. Clara was good too, but it's hard to follow up something that was just so good.

OOOOOHHHHF
Also tried to do… other things that lovers might do…..
Someone explain how he is her son in law when he looks like he's from the 1950s 😭
@syedkhalid2993 spoilers for doctor who
Ok so basicly Amy had a child who, as an adult married the Doctor (wibbly wobbly timey wimey) so technically Amy and Rory are the doctors in laws
Also the doctor is an alien who has lives for 1000 years and he can change his body when he is about to die so yeah
Poor Rory, everyone is killing him, mentally and literally

@@elbadiaz8098 can't really remember but I think it might have been s7 ep 3 the one with the boxes?
Why is that fact utterly hilarious??
It's like a friend who was the light and soul of everything who tragically died and now you can't look at old photos of them without crying anymore.
King Edward "Longshanks" I, Hammer of the Scots, Lord of Wales and King of England goddamn it why did this make me emotional???
@Kingofnerds77 I am, yes.
@Kingofnerds77 Because Edward I is my favourite English Monarch.
@Kingofnerds77 Kind? Good god no.
One of my favourite monarchs is Mary I

amy and rory had way better connection with the 11th doctor than clara (she had a good friendship with twelfth) especially as amy and rory were best friends with the doctor and that was a lovely relationship it kind of reminded me a bit of donna and doctor as they were just best friends travelling no romantic interest and amy got to bring rory with her 🥰 also lets kill hilter is such a good episode as it has humour, history and emotional scenes
Abby Dixon Clara had a great relationship with 12. She didn’t really have time to bond with 11.
12 had the best relationships with his companions, i swear. but that might be cause of his brilliant acting..
moths are great 12 was pretty great with Clara and Bill. I think part of the reason why was because people weren’t particularly fond of Clara and when she left they were happy to have another companion. With Amy, pretty much everyone loved her and Rory so it really hurt to see them leave. They also had great chemistry with the doctor so it would take a while for any companion to replace them.
Venera Seiti Nonaj i loved claras relationship with the 12th doctor he was definitely her bestfriend and they were so cute together
i feel like the doctor really latches onto the first person he sees in his newest regeneration, for example rose with 10th, amy with 11th and clara with 12th.
we dont count the 13th doctor for unrelated reasons
