I agree, I teach this: 2-3 fingers down from Acromion, if frail/elderly or atrophied muscle - go to the ventrogluteal gluteal site. I’ve taoght it both ways: Ztrack or straight IM - we go in the bulky middle DELT- I teach aspiration because it’s more safe than not to aspirate- thank you doctor - you are awesome!
2 fingers down from acromian is where my shot was given and was was much too high, much higher than my mid deltoid and I got SIRVA ! My Doctor said should have been at least 4 fingers down from acromian ! Why are people not looking for the mid deltoid !
Had Covid vaccine august 2021. I knew at the time the injection was on the wrong area. But who am I to ask questions to a professional. The injection was given in my non dominant arm. It was given way too low. Between my shoulder and elbow. The best I can describe it is the bicep area. The shot was so painful. Figured it was just the vaccination itself. I was fine a few hours later. 1/2months go by and my ROM has depleted. Arm doesn’t hurt all the time. There’s even times I forget that I have an issue. But omg when I make an awls movement the pain brings me to my knees. I can put my arm behind my back to even scratch it. Sometimes have a hard time putting on/taking off shirts. Putting hair up is so painful. Stretching. That’s just not fare!! Everyone needs a good stretch. 😁 I’ve been researching everywhere on vaccinations in the lower arm and everything that comes up is upper arm. So is it just my luck or is this the real thing?
Hye Dr.. .. what will happen if I cup the vaccine injection area after 5 minutes? .. will the vaccine be removed from my body? Or other side effect? Tq dr..
Same question here , I have to do that because I'm forced to take the shot and I have no other choice sadly. انا سمعت نصيحة دكتور ماجد العاني بهذا الخصوص وأن شاء الله اطبقها على نفسي.

How’s long should the needle be
What if I made a wet cupping at the same spot right after the shot to remove the vaccine?
I'm forced to take it and I have no choice but to do that
@@desertknights5003 how did this go?

I think that using the badge area ia practical & i knew it from a nurse while asking her about the safety of vaccination procedure in the arm
Dr Ebraheim, Thank you (Shookran) for your well thought out “high yield” informational orthopedic videos. I find them invaluable.
watching this after getting a shot bc ive always wondered why they gotta snatch my soul from my shoulder
Aspiration is necessary!
Thank you Dr. Ebraheim. That’s very helpful. ❤️
Hi Dr. Ebraheim, thanks for reposting this invaluably informative video🏅and have a Great 2K21 👏🏻

I would also suggest only using a 1" length needle on very thin people...
Lol anyone use a 2 inch needle on thick arms will get s punch lol 1 length is plenty lol you show peaple a 2 length needle they will walk out lol
Do injections ever encapsulate instead of absorbing?
Good education 👍
does using emla ease the pain of injection?
What size needle is the best for intramuscular?
22 gauze i think
Lord have mercy! Please help ppl properly vaccinate!!!
One of the best
Very good video! But always aspirate to prevent harm to the patient.
