1:46. There are blood vessels there so there is some risk and there is a process to make sure you’re not going directly into the blood. It maybe unnecessary in children but adults can cope with the pain for a few seconds rather than suffering permanent damage.
What is wrong with 5 more seconds to aspirate and make 100% sure the vaccine isn’t injected intravasal? I wan‘t my vaccines in my lymphatic system and not my spleen.
Wish I watched this before I had the Vaccine. The last did it way too high and I think hit a nerve. It felt like an internal electric explosion. Burning sensation in my arm. Really ruined my day.
Patients need to be assessed individually and the correct needle size selected for IM injection. Very large people may require a 1 1/2 inch needle. 1 inch is fine for most people.
Iam a Egyptian and l thanks u alot , this is very informative video and just few people who know this information unfortunately Thanks u alot doctor 🧑⚕️😍💪
Can some one tell me do yo I ever see on TV about side affects or people getting sick from it or even die I have not seen it's because it gets taken down
Most health professionals administering the vaccine will decline your request to aspirate the needle… They must follow protocols and procedures in their area. For them to do anything other than what was instructed by officials would be a liability. 💉💉💉💉💉
U mentioned "SIRVA usually can occur even if the vaccine is administered properly " " The patient may have predisposition to this reaction (meaning this is how the patient's body reacts to vaccination ). " Now , my question is ... can the patient only have this body reaction on one side of the arm but NOT on other side of the arm(for the same kind of vaccine)????? Ex: one person have SIRVA from covid vaccine on left side then 7 months later, took second covid vaccine on the right side but NO SIRVA.
@@invictusyt6646 late reply but; it's possible if they use too long of a needle, yes. Generally they would use a shorter needle if your arm is very skinny like that. Even if they do hit the bone, you wouldn't feel it (but the person vaccinating would feel that they did, and have to pull back a bit)
Yes it is normal. I am a doctor and about one third of the time i hit a small branch of an artery in the deltoid. That is the cause of the bleed. But that is normal because we doctors and nurses dont have x-ray vision so that is always a possibility
i felt palpatation after having it .you need to always have it in your left arm and not right at the top of your arm.not the right thats connected with your heart
I believe I’m going through the same thing, I’m much better than I was my first few days after my shot but it’s been 2 weeks now and I’m still taking tons of advil daily to function w out bawling my eyes out from the pain…
This happened to me in March and was confirmed by an hospital doctor. Ultra sound also confirmed this and the terrible pain was excruciating. I have tendonitis, impingement etc but refused the cortisone injection for obvious reasons. I have just recently had a bad fall onto my still painful arm. X-rays are saying my shoulder is broken in three places. How do l treat this very painful, badly bruised arm?
@@carollindley2058 no lawsuit ? I'm still in pain after 2 yrs cannot work anymore. Hard to get disability. I think I should sue. Anyone know of a doctor that knows about SIRVA? ,so that I can get medical proofs to sue. A lot specialist/doctors etc doesn't even know about SIRVA . God help us!
@@jennifer763 yes, but be aware that these kind of surgeries takes a long time to heal. 6 months to a year. Now it feels like it never happen. But before that I could not sleep from the pain , the pain was there all the time, I kept holding my arm like if I was wearing a sling because it was the most comfortable way.
@@bsantiago945 oh wow. Yeah mine is just achy all the time and if I use it too much I’m in a lot of pain. I had to end my career from this. I might just wait it out then. @@jennifer763 My case is a long story. Here is a summary. I saw 3 doctors because first 2 didn’t care much. Finally after seeing one of the best shoulder doctors he was the only one that touch me and checked both shoulders, sent me for an MRI and did other things to make sure surgery was what I needed. Findings: Bursitis, impingement, small tear, tendonitis and bone spur. Surgery involved cleaning the damaged tissue caused by the bursitis, shaving the bone and shaving the small tear.

I came here looking for this comment!
Same
I know.. kills people too
Not practical at all
How do you know that you don’t inject into bloodstream, even small ones.
This made me more nervous about the vaccine and aware of how things could go wrong🥲
This kinda smooth my panic for the vaccination

same happened to me person was obsessed with doing it right at the top of my arm the pain i was so upset
How can you not get close to the bone if you use a 1 1/2 inch needle...
Agree. Causes injury and pain. The herd tolerates to receive a jaaab.

That’s why it’s used at a 90 degree angle. To lessen those chances.
Very informative, thank you for the explanations and diagrams.

How about aspiration of the needle ?
O checked this video out specifically because I wanted to to know whether aspiration is necessary.
I would always aspirate when injecting drugs
Getting my COVID vaccine and I’m so nervous
are you still alive?

that is a possibility especially in those who are thin and therefore the needle can hit the nerve

Thanks alot for sharing your awesome knowledge
Why not the area in where a blood test is done for Covid 19 vaccine?
Because all vaccines are given into a muscle, as far as I know.

thank you! so helpful!
what is the treatment recommendation for SIRVA?
find someone who knows how not to cause sirva to inject into you.
No asperation??
