Man I was so mad that you got rid of the Terminator..That car was beyond beautiful and you turned it into a beast..But this Shelby is growing on me..lol I was kinda hating on it at first,but the more I see it the more I fall in love with it..

Yup. These cars literally will not allow you to get close to redline until it warms up. In fact.... If you pay attention, the red bars near the 5-6k rpm on the tachometer, begin to light up steadily as the car warms up.
Yeah that car is legit, much better bottom end, gt the fuel system sorted out and big reliable power will be there and it's no slouch now! It's nice to see Justin doing the work himself as well, I wish I had the dough to take my car down there and let them loose on my car!
Hell yeah man love the gt500, its my 2nd dream car, ended up with a 14 Gt and boosted it, these cars are fun and fast as hell.

Before you get carried away with more mods, I suggest you should change the oil pump gears since they are notorious for breaking when modding coyotes and the Trinity motor is no different in that sense. Also when I installed the JLT cold air and the FRPP 67 mm throttle body alone I got a jump in boost to 17 lbs according to the factory gauge with stock pulleys. I thought that with a smaller pulley you were going to be at least 18 to 19 lbs.
BTW your Shelby looks killer!!

This guy is the embodiment of every mustang guy ever.
That is a key concept to boost that most don't understand. Boost is only a measure of restriction to airflow through your engine.

@@Drake5153 Definately. You have to adjust fuel, air, spark, boost. Calibration takes longer than the dyno pulls. 100%. Dynos shows the result. Simple WOT for a few seconds.
This GT500 content is so sick! When the ecu wasn’t allowing full throttle it made me think back to a RegularCarReviews video and I believe he mentioned that Ford made it so on a drag pass the ecu wouldn’t allow you to keep doing laps and could lessen the throttle amount or even temporarily put the vehicle in limp mode depending on coolant temps and things like that so I’m wondering if that’s it part to do with why at first it wasn’t getting full throttle opening. Glad to see the first mods you’ve gotten done to it! Sounds healthy and good!

Yes that is pretty much part of the same factory limiters. Oil temp was obviously already up but coolant temp was slightly lower so it didn't allow WOT

The early days of the GT500
Just watched Alejandro’s video of a 13-14 GT 500 with cams, Lund tune, pulley and 6r80 swap made 803 hp to the wheels!!! Oh and E85. The point was no need to upgrade the supercharger.
Tuners credibility just went up when I saw him put antiseize on the plugs. He really seems to understand the computer systems and explains quite well.
Throw them headers on and vmp v3 on there and grow from there. That whine though...

Yes because if it was a lund tune they are competitors. And it wouldnt of been such a dramatic gain. They wanted it to seem like it gained so much
For what we were trying to do with the multiple levels it was best to return to stock.
I guarantee you they Dynoed that with the old tune ladies didn’t want to post it
MUSCLE N IMPORTS theres no beating lund. Its proven over and over. Vmp makes the best blowers No doubt but lund is king of tunes.
Ok but seriously his main reason for selling the Terminator was not moving past 600rwhp on pump gas and he wanted the 700rwhp on e85 he got on the terminator with the GT500. He got 65rwhp gain on a vehicle weighing 180lbs more. It's marginally better just sayin
Don't worry we are just getting started. I wanted something different. I have had 10 new edges in the past 5 years and I still have the Bullitt and 01 Cobra. Just got tired of the 03

Jonathon Talley the 13-14 GT500’s have reached 800whp and above on stock blower and motor(dudeinblue just reviewed a 1000whp one on stock blower) terminator was great for its time but the Shelby is just a nasty power house
@@GODEYE270115 I get it and I also agree but the terminator is not that far off when you equalize the differences. You put a 2.3 tvs on the terminator at 15psi and your not that far off. For me though the terminator is the faster of the two on a road course where over 600rw tends to hurt you without the ability to power through the corners or braking deep into the corner. Don't forget straight line though the king is still the 4.6 with the minion being the fastest rwd stick car record holder.... not a 5.8 :)
True, but a Terminator can be just as fast at the GT500. Two different cars from different eras! Much respect for both!! I have a 03 Cobra and would own a 13-14 as well!

Definitely do the vmp dual fan triple pass HE.. I did it on my 15 GTPP with Roush kit and 79mm pulley with the IAT harness... those IAT will kill 100hp all day in Florida.. you should make good power with it good luck!!

Scary that an aftermarket tune was already on the car before VMP checked it out. Plugs look gnarly like a flood car or from an owner that continuously pressured washed the motor and letting it self dry. What turned out to be the fuel issue (guessing filter or weak pump).

My 07 427 Nascar edition convertible supersnake only makes 650hp.Back in 07 the convertible supersnake was only built with the Ford Racing TVS the coupes got the Kenny Bell blower that's on my 10 supersnake.Its funny to say my convertible SS only has 650hp lol only.
Long tubes. E85. Upgraded heat sink/cooling system. 7xx whp
700 whp in my Hellcat - tune and that’s it
Supercharger whine sounds almost as good as the one on my redeye!
I was just saying, people think it’s amazing it makes 680whp with pulleys, intake, TB and a tune. My HC made 702whp with a tune. The Redeye is just in another league
@@big_k4122 well the Challenger has a bigger engine in comparison (6.2 vs. 5.8) for the power difference, also weighs about 600 pounds more than a 13-14 GT500, also harder to tune, so all things being equal....
Just put a gen 3 with all the mods on my 11 GT500 makes right around 700 rwhp I'm loving life now
Installed VMP's '13-'14 GT500 Stage 4 Power Pack on my 14, I hear virtually no whine. Really disappointed. Power feels good. But I wanted that cool factor too.
I have the same jlt 123 cai and 67 tb on both my gt500's. My 09 gt500 makes 630 rwhp (13 tvs sc) my 13 gt500 makes 647 rwhp.

Gonna guess since it had a ngauge it was running a Lund tune. Would have been cool to see what it made as you bought it
it probably would have been close to VMP tune only. You can only do so much with these cars without changing parts. We picked up quite a bit of torque down load and in the curve hp.
The 13 14 are the shit I have a 07 and 10 supersnake that makes 800 wheel. It's insane fast
