To combat the frizz in this Texas Summer heat, my go-to styling products are the DevaCurl Frizz Free Foam and the LA Sports gel (blue). I apply the foam first and add the gel for hold. This combo works like a charm for my hair.
Can't wait to try some of these products! Most days I fight my curls, but I really need to embrace my natural curly hair!! Would love to see your process!
KC Lynn Thanks for your comment! I don't know I'll ever stop fighting my curls, but at least I kind of like them! :-) I'm going to film my routine soon! Thanks for watching.
Hi Julie, It was great to see what products you use on your curls. As a fellow curly-haired girl, I too am always on the hunt for the next best thing to combat my FRIZZ...lol. I am going to check out the Aussie & Karen SDCC when I come home for a visit. For now, I have been using the Shea Moisture products that one of my sister's sent me and LOVE them. She told me that they are readily available in Target and other places in the US. Let me know how it goes :). Hugs, Cyndi
I really like Shea Moisture, but there are so many different lines. I've only used the Tahitian Noni and Monoi. What do you recommend? Hugs, sweet Cyndi!
These products seem to be working very well for you. Your hair looks great. I'm still not embracing the curl. I can't get second day hair out of it. I would be interested in seeing how you manage to get second day. Thanks, Diana xo
I definitely have good hair days and bad, but overall I like being curly! The 2nd day hair is interesting...I'm ok with the less-than-perfect nature of it. I can also just rinse my hair, add a bit more product and diffuse it. That works well if the curls don't survive the night or the morning workout. :-)
Hi Julie! This was the video of my dreams. I'm going to check out ALL of these products. I haven't been very happy with some of my curly hair products, so it's time to try other things. Yes, please do a demo video of how you apply these products. I'd love that! XOXO! Sandra.
I avoid putting too much stuff on my hair, I use leave in conditioner and mousse, that's it. I feel that the more you put on, the freezier the hair gets. A wide tooth comb is a must, and the way you apply the products on your hair matters, the gentler you are the better curl formation you'll end up with, and don't touch your hair until is dry.
This is so cute. I have the straightest hair in the world, but I shared this video with my friend whose hair gets bigger and bigger when it is humid out, lol. I use leave-in conditioners as well and don't know why anyone would want to use the kind that you have to rinse out. (Who has time for that? LOL). Regular conditioners just make my hair greasy and flat, breaking out my neck and back, yuck. Which are some of your favorite leave-in conditioners? I'm least impressed with It's a Ten.
I like it's a 10, but it can make me a little greasy. But I've only used it when straightening my hair. I love As I Am Leave In Conditioner. I get it at Sally Beauty Supply. It's all I've used for months, and I think it would work on straight hair. Hard to tell! Thank you so much for sharing my video! That is lovely!

I've been wondering what else to try from DevaCurl! Thank you for sharing. I know lots of curlies like the Sport gel. :-)

And I have never been able to pull off second day curly hair. Would welcome any tips!!
