your hair is more in the 1-2 b range 3-4 ranges are tighter curls (super hard to manage)

I would say that she’s in 2 to 3 range but lower density

Love the video but your hair looks like a 2b-2c to me

    • @davednuhenabla

Id say it looks like a 2b because her hair isnt super thick, but i would say shes right. Her hair is about a 2c in the front and a 3b in some strands. But theres always room for interpretation :)

Totally different! I've been learning how to take of my hair for decades now. Thanks for not minding the hair on the shower situation! :-)

I don’t understand why you say you don’t rake your fingers through your hair and the proceed to comb it which it worse for separating curl clumps.

Your hair could be so much curlier and have more volume. You put too much water and product in that weighs it all down when it dries. Your curls don’t have a chance to spring up when they dry being weighed down. Gel is the worst for fine hair because it’s so heavy.
Get all the water out of your hair with the microfiber towel and then use a light curl cream to tame the frizz. Brush through gently, and don’t brush downwards. That’s what makes the curl straight again. Scrunch with your fingers, and then put clips at the root of your hair to help lift the root to give volume.
Before I let my hair air dry, I spray a number 2 (Light hold) hairspray throughout my hair to help hold the curl as it dries.
As it air dries, I lightly scrunch my hair breaking the light cast that may form on my hair (crunchy hair) and ensuring it’s drying and not getting weighed down with water or product.
Once it’s all dry, I take out the clips and fluff my hair to break up the groups of hair from the clips.
You’ll notice your hair with more volume and your curls curlier than you thought your hair could be.

You're so cute with your term "ramen noodle curls", Julie. You made me laugh. Your curls are just beautiful and the end result was perfect in my book. I have to let my hair air dry (it dries in about an hour) because any diffuser or heat device just makes it super dry :-( I wish I had tips to share but I think I'm the one learning all kinds of new things with you, my friend. Great video! XO! Sandra.

Hugs, Sandra! I love your curls. I think my hair is a bit drier when I use heat, but I still love the results. I'd air dry in a perfect world!

Think I just found the closest thing to my hair twin! :) I've been a curly girl for about a year now, but I've recently been having a lot of frizz and defintion problems and the entire back section of my hair wants to be straight now. :/ Thanks for the routine! We do almost the same things. lol.

Use sulfate free products( LOreal) air dry, put up in sock bun and when I take out in morning, I have full curls. Sock buns at night keep me going 2 or 3 days between washing. No brushing, just finger combing if needed.

I was so confused when she said 3a-3b because it looks 2a-2b like VERY loose waves. just wanted to correct you :)) no hate!!

Great video! I love seeing other curlies' hair routines. I'm probably mostly a 3a with just a handful of 3b when my hair grows out. I love your tip about turning off the diffuser before you move it. I used to just leave it on and move it, which is probably why I got a lot of frizz.

Hi, I don't have any tips, heck you seem to know your hair quite well. I look at all types of hair videos so I just stopped by to peek in. BTW, I never did see shower door hair. Thanks for sharing and your hair is beautiful.

So do you always use a leave in conditioner even after you condition after shampoo? I never knew you could do this! I have fin dry curly hair and always afraid of weighing it down!

Great curly hair tips! I think us curly haired girls completely understand hair balls on shower doors, lol! I have never used a microfiber towel. Any recommendations on where to pick one up? Are they easy to find? Surprisingly, I have been having luck letting my hair air dry lately. I have always diffused my hair, felt like it gave me more control. Not really sure why air drying is suddenly working for me, but hopefully it is saving me some heat damage. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching! Sorry about the late reply; I've been on vacation. I got microfiber towels from CVS made by the Turbie Twist brand, called "Turbie Towels." But I think Target should have them too, also in the household section.
