- My friend sent me a used accelerator for his A500. Does it work? Also, I add a switch for the ROM switcher we made.

I have not installed this yet, but I may add this to a A2000 or add the ROM switcher mod to an A1000, which would be very neat as well. A super fine upgrade for the price. The tf336 on my CD32 is simply fantastic...cheers!
Throw the top part of the corroded rf shield out, and have better airflow in the Amiga
That is definitely a valid point. I do tend to keep originality unless there is a compelling reason. Example: My A1200 still has all it's EMI shielding LOL
Actually, the RF shield is useful for having the keyboard stay perfectly in the correct placement.
@@mark12358 absolutely false info, no need to keep the rf shield, running the costum chips hotter, with lesser air circulation
@@RETROCENGO What? Those chips were meant to work steadily at 70° C without any problem. And RF shield is useful to add rigidity to the whole chassis and hold the keyboard better.
@@mark12358 please don’t write like this, those soon 40 years old Amiga custom chips needs as much air circulation as they can get. Everybody throw out the top rf shields, keyboard sits perfectly without the metal layer
Nice video .
Is it an actual CF card or is it a sd to cf adapter? Just wondering because of the SD-card that came with the accelerator. And then there's the obvious ones, bad cable, bad board or bad CF-IDE adapter.
La terriblefire dell'A500 in quale sito internet l'hai comprata?
Our friend from Italia asks where I got the TerribleFire from. I did not buy it, it was a friend. I think he got it from eBay. Questa attrezzatura appartiene al mio amico Brad. Ha comprato l'A500 e l'acceleratore. Penso che abbia ottenuto il TF536 da eBay.
price is freaking high , what is this ? RTX2060 ? ... retro its what turn us on .. but all you need / all I need for Amiga 500 is 68020 at 20MHZ with 1MB of CHIP RAM and maybe 2MB of FASTRAM
All possible diskette games will work on this configuration . Not enough ? then you shout switch to Amiga (maybe 2000) 3000 , 4000 . That's my opinion
Brad went with this config (his money, not mine) because he got a good deal on it.
I'm amazed a 2 min job took almost 30 mins.
Wow, you are amazing! You can unbox a TF536 and experiment with it's installation, find and replace broken pins, install a ROM switch, and test the CF adapter (not working) in two minutes! The irony lies in the end title of the video where I point out that the video is getting too long (so stay tuned). Comments from those who clearly didn't watch the video are my favorite :)
I can't believe you butchered one of the most beautiful computer cases ever designed, just to install that stupid ugly Rom switch, when there's a perfect place to install a round 2-stage button at the back by simply desoldering the otherwise completely useless mono out.
Watch the video more carefully. The hole was already there.
every hole in amiga is a sin
