Hey, is that new west? I found some crayola crayons from the 60's in a salvation army in poco. They came in a plastic container, and it holds 2 packs of crayons
Oh no, I didn't see this 🙈 Sorry for the super late reply. Yes, some of this was filmed in New West, Coquitlam, PoCo, Vancouver, and Burnaby. I drove all over haha. Haven't been able to find anything super cool lately. When I filmed this, it was during covid times, so not many people were visiting thrift stores. Also, I'm guessing more donations rolled in with folks having extra time to sort through their things during the lockdown period. I'll make my rounds again eventually! There is a lot of good stuff in PoCo for sure. If you have any other recommendations, let me know 😆
It was so much fun!! I'm on the hunt for vintage watercolors, but so far haven't found any. Lmk if you decide to go thrifting for art things and what you find if you do 🤓
It does actually! Though it might be hard to tell since I bought it nearly 10 years ago 😂 I purchased a new camera recently, so my next vid (whenever that happens haha) will look a lot nicer. Thanks for commenting!
Bummer!! Thrifting for clothes is so much fun too though. The thrift stores here in Canada are massive, though it's kinda sad to see so many discarded items 😅
some(if not a lot) japanese surplus stores in philippines have art materials like sumi-e brushes, watercolor paints, oil paints, drawing pencils etc. sometimes if youre lucky youll find those rare vintage wooden artists boxes or metal palettes for dirt cheap.
Juli, A friend passed a vintage German glass pallet in a metal case to me. I am more into crafting than painting. Do you have an interest in it? Is there a way I can send you a pic?
Hi Patricia 👋🏼 Wow, that sounds amazing! Your friend is a keeper for sure 🤗 I'd love to see it. It sounds like such a unique item! If you're able to, you can send me a message through my blog, and I'll write back to you via email: juliroxart.com/contact-me/ Thank you for watching and commenting.
Why are there so few videos like this? Thrifting cool vintage stationary 😍😍😍
You are so entertaining and I find this inspirational! Will paint again soon 💙
Ahh thank you, you're too kind! And yes, go paint 😂🙌🏽

I would be in this shop for hours looking for stationery.
Right? It's a really fun way to pass time. Are there any thrift stores in your area?
I love to thrift also here in the philippines but there's no art supplies 😅

You should try glass painting with your picture frames. I think it will be a good video.
That's such a neat idea!! I didn't even consider that. Haha I have so many frames I might just give it a try 😉
Woww ♥
Did you notice e you missed what looked ikea vintage filofaxs.
Oh really?? There are so many little treasures at these thrift stores. I'm sure I missed a lot more goodies haha.
