I only discovered your channel yesterday while sitting in bed with Covid. I’m trying to learn something new during my convalescence so it’s time not wasted. I have the same reaction to charcoal pastels, it’s “teeth gritting” stuff. Haha. I happened upon your channel in my research about journaling which i hope to delve into deeper. Your drawing and swatching is inspirational. I look forward to following your South Korea journey. Thanks for sharing
Hi Julie! Thanks so much for leaving a friendly comment. I'm glad you're enjoying my channel. Work's been a bit of a whirlwind, but I'm hoping to get back to posting soon. Sorry to hear about you've been struck by the Covid bug 😵 Though I'm glad you're making thmost of it. Get well soon~
Wow minimalism is a huge feat- props for even looking into it! Buying more art supplies is just so tempting.. my no-buy year kinda went down the toilet after deciding I was moving to Korea. Had to buy a good number of items to prepare for the move 🥲 Old habits die hard.. I hope you are doing much better than I am haha. Good luck! And lmk if you come across any cool thrifted finds.
I actually have the same box of the black charcoal sticks. I must have bought them in 1976 or 1977 when I was studying art in CEGEP. Yes I live in Quebec. My box is full, I don't think I even used them, I find charcoal too messy. I bought them at Eaton's, the price tag is still on the box. It looks like I payed $2.45 for them.

Wow that was so so fun to watch! I love thrifting for art supplies too! You had such cool finds!💕💕💕
This is such a cool haul! I need to try thrifting my art supplies, once Covid calms down lol
Yes!! I highly recommend it. It's a ton of fun. Maybe not so much right now haha, but I still visit the odd thrift store here and there 🤓
I am torn between achieving minimalism and splurging on art materials. I'm now tempted to do some thrifting too.
