Chris Stuckmann reviews Cell, starring John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Owen Teague, Stacy Keach. Directed by Tod Williams. - Розваги
So this is what would've happened if Samuel L Jackson won at the end of Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Basically.
Hahaha was just typing something similar.
I was looking for that comment! That's a great comment!
Pretty much..
Good one. Laughing loud
It certainly seems like Cell is getting bad reception, huh?
Hardy har har
Still tight 3 years later
@@bumzilla8586
That's what she said??
Yes.
You are the greatest!
I guess you could say they were... phoning it in.
GAHHHHH
Ribs suitably tickled!
Bravo! That was very punny! Couldn't stop laughing. :)
savage.
yea they really dialed down the movie here... cell puns HA
You know shit's bad when Norm of the North comes up.
Yeah.
***** Yeah I didn't feel like typing alot since I had other messages and I travel alot lol.
Yeah.
He should rewiew the sequel to norm of the north.
John Cusack had such a weird career
Haha true
2012 xD
Not even close in weirdness to Sandler or Cage .
What do you mean "had" such a weird career? Did he pass away?
+Waleed Albarakati Brendan Fraser was like that too but not as bad
I guess you have to rewatch norm the north to decide what is worse.
Dude, don't put Chris through anymore torture!
Ya know if ones life has gotten to the point where watching a bad movie is torture, he's done alright with himself.
Someone has to do it.. Chris should take one for the team. Watch them both back and to back and make a decision. For science.
Don't forget gods of egypt
lol lets not make him shoot himself
Why wasn't Nicholas cage in this movie
I was wheezing so hard and when i read this i jist screamed in laughter
@@nihaalsandim9986 y tho
@@dennisfriasii7270 because he is in very bad movies. And usually it seems like he has no standards for what movies he will do.
Oh No, Not The Zombees, Not The ZOMBEES, AAAAGGGGHH!!!!!
@@Mike_416 who the heck said that ?
But is it hilariocity material bad?
No. I didn't think it was as bad as he was saying. Just super boring. Started off good imo.
no, no it isn't it's just bad
+Orphan_Darqjade when I said"imo" that means "in my opinion"
Tesa Winters i know:)
mariannebossu yes. It's fucking horridly hilarious.
So, Chris, buy or cell?
Hehehe

So this is what Fury was doing during Civil War.
OMG XD
woooow
Samuel L Jackson is OK but nobody and I mean nobody can hold a candle to the Hof!
hahah damn that was good
hahahhaaha XD
So it's like if The Happening was with cellphones?
Child Of The Candy comment is on point.
Beyond that point.
Holy hell the ending of this movie had the worst effects I have ever seen it felt like a YTP.
Every single Stephen King has out is just a train wreck or bad CG and acting, pace etc...
If you keep watching films like this you will end up reviewing with the same 'I give up on everything' approach as FanboyFlicks!
Shut up
People turning into crazy killers because of their phones? Sounds like Kingsman! Also, you killed me with the impressions of the 'phoners'!
Ironic that Samuel L Jackson is in both movies
+Bailey Stimpson Thanks man, that means a lot
Sure
Chris why everyone for some reason keep seeing the guy in the hoddie from the story he wrote?
i was almost tempted to read the book to find out. but.. I think I can live without knowing
just watched this movie as a result of Chris' 'recommendation'. I laughed myself silly through 95% of it. I'm an introvert, I don't really laugh out loud even watching intentional comedies, but with this film I legitimately laughed like crazy. It felt like a movie-adaptation of the DayZ early-access alpha. Definite one to watch with friends and alcohol.
Nathan Binns I still can't figure out if this film was made seriously or not...
One of the zombie runs to a wall and bash her head repeatedly on it, zombies run in the woods then one of them comically collides with a tree, they use a truck full of gas to wipe zombies but STAY RIGHT NEXT TO IT AFTER SETTING THE WHOLE THING ON FIRE!!! 😫
Hey, I'm an introvert too
not realy though, the alpha of day z didn'T have zombies ;)
whats being an introvert got to do with not laughing out loud?
@Ali Malik you are confusing introversion with social anxiety
I watched this on my cell. Oh wait.....ergh...argh...azagh...ahhhh!

Remember 1408 being a good hidden gem. Wonder if it holds up
1408 is actually pretty good.
Yes 1408 still holds up a lot and it's very good and it came out in 2007 so it's not that old.
I actually love 1408, an incredibly underrated horror movie. Atmospheric, well-acted, a good story, amazingly directed... It's got everything I need.
It has 2 endings though, be sure to watch them both. They're equally surprising.
2 endings?
I just watched the movie and I really enjoyed it🤷🏻♂️ yeah some of the editing was bad but I still enjoyed the premise overall and the idea is really cool. I didn’t really get how he SPOILER ALERT called the bomb then didn’t call the bomb and was with his son and then it turns out he was just walking in the circle. But I still enjoyed it
Agreed, a good movie, not going to win any awards but worth the watch.
I don’t see why so many people dislike it. I thought it was very good for the most part. And as for the ending, I saw another review where someone theorized that maybe he had been turned by the red hooded guy as he approached him in the truck. He “killed him” but at the end you never see a body, and maybe him walking with his son and blowing the tower was all in his head or what could’ve happened.
I sore the movie like a metaphor, down loading information to the masses and all the people had one thought and if your not part of that well then your in trouble. I found it really powerful seeing the masses running in that circle with one thought one movement totally in controlled of the information buzz. I love this film very good.
The instant I heard "rented on Amazon Video..."
Man, just when I thought King adaptations were going to get better with how amazing 11.22.63 was. The Dark Tower movie better be good!
It's already been destroyed. They are making something but it's not TDT.
+waymire01 What do you mean it's been destroyed? Do you mean the casting choices or something? What makes you think it's gonna be bad?
They have chopped, combined, and changed the entire story beyond recognition. Now they are suggesting it isn't actually the story of TDT novels.. but a subsequent journey to the tower (if you haven't finished the books I'm hesitant to elaborate on that and ruin it for anyone) which still doesn't make sense since Roland was still himself.
+waymire01 Well, from what I've heard, HBO plans on making a TV show after the movie is released, so we can at least look forward to that!
Fingers crossed.

Snapped...
Zod's neck is.
LOLOLOLOL!
You should do a Hilariocity of this Chris
I watched the airport sequence to this movie, Your right Chris, this movie is absolutely horrible. I don't think I've laughed that hard in months.
You’re not your.
Also. King drinks cologne and mouthwash to get drunk to hide it from people Close to him. Self admitted.
You SHOULD spoil it, Chris. Seriously. As a public service. Save people their money and time. Life is so short. What I really do not understand is why Samuel L. Jackson would do this movie. I get why John Cusack would, but did SLJ's Nick Fury money run out?
Michael Caine would call it a pay the bill movie.I doubt SLJ will even watch it, but he will enjoy whatever he was paid to do it.
Yeah, I never got why people are so bothered by great actors appearing in shitty or low-budget movies. A paycheck is a paycheck. Would any of them deny $500,000 for going to stand in front of a camera for a couple days a week?
John Quincy Adams the Tank Engine Because a terrible movie can ruin your career.
+John Quincy Adams the Tank Engine I heard SLJ just really loves acting so he just acts in anything they ask him to if it pays which is why he is the black guy in every movie.
+Aynge Mackay
Well maybe if they're a less heard of actor. But Michael Caine and SLJ are master class actors that have proven their worth time and time again, so they can afford to do so.
Last time I came this early I became a father!
Best... Shirt...EVER!!! I want a Reptar bar!!!
Me, too. I love that series in the 90s. Nick was awesome then but it's not awesome anymore.
Hey Chris, could you do a hilariocity review for this movie in future? :D For grading it with an F, plus everything you talked about, it sounds like a worthy candidate :D
KoRnFoReVeR23 I have seen it, it's just as bad as he say it is, it was really entertaining though haha.
This is definitely Hilariocity material
"Earlier this year I saw Norm of the North..."
Uh-oh...
"1 minute and 20 seconds of logos!" - first sin if cinemasins made Everything Wrong with Cell video.
Chris sounds like the Joker when he laughs
Chris you should score this type of movie with a "H" of hilariocity hahaha
Will you review the Mist? Its based on the book from this writer.
ask zods snapped neck to review it...ohh wait
Great underrated film.
I loved that film, though the ending was a little sudden
Dude the ending is what made it. THAT'S some serious horror. So real and brutal and tragic. The rest is pretty standard movie fare, but the end stunned me. And it's different from the book.
stephen king wrote the screenplay for the Mist there was never a book. if they remade that movie it could be spectacular
Hilariocity of Gods of Egypt?
+Sammy Suliman no He said he might do one.
Sammy Suliman wrong it's a shit movie.
id rather see him review the great Alex proyas movies.. The Crow,, Dark city director's cut
Check out Chris's review of it
I, Robot was pretty good, too.
i thought this was a unique zombie movie i was never bored while watching this it also had a unique ending plus the zombies where really creepy you should give this movie a chance
Got to agree with William. It's far from the worse movie. I usually really like Chris reviews. But dropped the ball here.
I liked as well. Thank you I'm not alone
@William Correct AND right.
Chris is too full of soy to appreciate this book/movie.
It limits his ability to review well.
I've noticed this with regard to many great and/or good movies.
He just doesn't get it, unless it is "On Message", and fulfills "Representation" to his liking.
Sad.
I kinda felt like this movie was bad, I tried to get into it? But the ending didn’t make sense. It was a big ass satellite millions of people just running around it eternally and somehow John Cusack got hypnotized or maybe all this was shit was in his head the whole time
Hey Chris, how's your PS4 look on that 4K TV?? Please let me know because I'm thinking of buying one.
1) Nobody cares if you're 1st
2) Nobody cares if you're early
3) Nobody cares about the #NotificationSquad
nobody cares if you're zods snapped neck
Apparently, people do care, considering the amount of "likes" people receive when saying that stuff.
I never understood what the 3rd one was.
As far as I've understood it, it's just the people announcing that they were notified that the channel posted a video (received a notification from UA-cam). That's all it is. They just want to tell everyone else that the YT channel has just given out a notification that the video was just uploaded, and wondered if anyone else received it.
I've already stated in a previous video that YT should implement a system like Twitch, and give YT channel the option to ban certain words and phrases. If you try to post them, such as "first," "I'm so early," or "notification squad," then the comment won't be posted. Heck, I'd make them feel better about posting those comments anyway, but then state at the bottom of that comment that it was posted, but no one else can see it, except you.
so...the movie will return in a Hilariocity??
hey chris. been a fan for couple years now. love ur work! just wanna hear ur thoughts on the 2015 S.Korean hit, "The Wailing"
Hahaha! Your imitation of the phoners alone made me want to watch this movie! Though, it seems like the movie that borders on "so bad, it's good" and "absolute garbage"
Just watching this review made me laugh. Good stuff Chris.
I literally asked my wife to pinch me while watching this movie to make sure I wasn't just having a crazy dream.
This movie is incredibly, ummmm, bad? No... ummmm, incomprehensible? Closer.
We both turned to each other in shock at the ending. Usually one of us likes a movie and the other doesn't but we were in complete agreement about Cell. WTF?!
I completely forgot that this movie was in development. Thanks for the review. Now for an important question: Where did you get that wonderful shirt?
@Chris Stuckmann Cool shirt. Where did you get it?
This is so very sad; I was so excited about this movie. One of the very few King books that I actually managed to finish.
I personally enjoyed reading, note *reading* Cell a lot, however watching Chris talking about it, I think I'll live without watching this adaptation of it.
Hey now... the prep school crunchy-roll with Stacy Keach was pretty fun as was the bar fight.
Chris i have a problem. I liked the review, but I've already been stuckmanized. What do i do?
Can I just get 2:42 on a loop as a hilarious alarm tone please?
Nice shirt.
Hey Chris, could you make a review of 1408?
Chris, where do you get your shirt? It reminds me of my childhood when nickelodeon was ACTUALLY AWESOME.
This is why we pirate shit Chris
I died at 3:14
Neil Selgy me too !
Yes, King wrote the 1st draft of the screenplay. However, I believe that he had as much to do with the final script of this movie as he did with the script of the CHILDREN OF THE CORN remake from 2009. No, seriously, he is credited for writing the screenplay of the CHILDREN OF THE CORN remake, which he denies having any part of.
Can you do a review of cape fear. I want to hear your thoughts on that movie
hey I just watched. Totally loved it.
I was glad to see stuff from the books and have some original ideas from both the director and Stephen King
i just watched it too and I also loved it.
you need to watch eye in the sky
and review it
Pretty good movie!
Saw it last night. Fucking loved it. Still think that Ethan Hawke Drone movie was better though.
Ethan Hawke's fucking great. If you haven't seen Predestination, see Predestination.
Yeah predestination is fucking awesome
Can someone please explain the end for me. I'm confused what exactly the symbolism iw
oh my god where did u get that shirt!?
Honestly though, how can actors like Sam Jackson even end up at movies this bad?
Maybe he really needed a paycheck.
Arturo García If he does a direct to Amazon movie for the cash while being a vital part of the MCU, Sam Jackson is fucking up big time right now
He always says that he only plays in movies he'd watch. I guess he LOVES himself some hilariocity.
How is he a vital part of the MCU? He wasnt even in Civil War, Ant Man, Thor: The Dark World, or Ironman 3. He was kinda vital in the end credit scenes and a little in the earlier movies, but he really is just window dressing now. I love the guy, but hes been pulling out of the MCU for a while now.
Because paycheck!
So it's a movie about the side effect from the graphene on Covid vaccines.
😫😫😫
Exactly! 軟揭露~
hey chris, could you review hunt for the wilderpeople?
I NEED that shirt! where did you get it? I love it!
I loved the book, but totally agree about the movie. They could've done so much more. I remember Stephen King writing at the end of the book "neither my wife or I own a cellphone." Man the movie was hideous. I love John Cusak, I grew up with the bratpack, and Cusak. It burns me that they slaughtered this.
Just saw this with my girlfriend because she's a huge Stephen King fan. Figured it would be gripping and pull you in like anything associated with Stephen King does... But instead we sat and laughed the entire time. It went from being hilarious to just totally pitiful. The scene where they burn the bodies in the field after using the spray truck was so bad I nearly peed myself laughing. Best unintended comedy of all time. Worth the watch if you have literally nothing (and i mean fucking nothing) to do.
I miss my $9.99. BUT I think I would be at peace if I could just understand the ending(s). There were 3. Do I just pick the one I like best? Or assume the 1st and 2nd were visions he had while being in the 3rd?
I need someone to break it down for me.
Please.
OMG I love your shirt!! Please tell me I can find this on Amazon!?
I knew shit was gonna get real when I heard norm of the north
Chris you gotta see a movie called The Signal. It is a great movie. Sounds like a good version of the bad movie you saw!
I'm talking about the one from 2007
I've heard of that movie, but I had no idea it was similar to this. There's only one movie called The Signal that I know: it came out a couple years ago (I really like that one).
+Knittel Man I may check it out.
Deric James Look up the trailer. The trailer got me hooked when I saw it in the theater in front of Brick Mansions (I know; I saw it for Paul Walker (RIP); I thought they'd show it in front of something like The Raid 2, but I was surprised they showed it in front of something like that, which was a wide release), and I was beyond elated when I found out it was coming to my area, and I saw it as soon as I could. Anyway, pretty interesting movie. You'll see a facility in most of the trailer (when it gets to there in the movie, it really gets going).
+Knittel Man Didn't see that one, but the one from 2014 was very good.
I thought you said in your room tour that the lights behind you would change in different colors to show if the movie is good or bad
OMG that Nickelodeon t shirt just took be back so many years... Could even smell my boyhood room, awesome shirt!
Aw man. After some very good releases, we had to get yet another stinker. ;8
Definitely going on Chris's Top ten worse movies of 2016.
Yup.
King is my favourite author, too! Pity that the movie adaptation for Cell was so bad. The novel is trashy, but very entertaining. Like you said: even when you read one of King's worse books, it's still a good book.
Are you ever going to review attack on Titan like you said in that one video a long time ago
Im confuse with this movie tbh, at the end, how the hell the telefon tower or cell tower is still stand, and how the main character turn into zombie? ....... can anyone explain that to me?
would this qualify as a hilariousity?
Yeah
I think Sam Jackson was so disappointed he can't be in the Kingsmen sequel that signed on a stupid movie with a similar premise just because of it. That or he just really likes the idea of using cell phones to cause mass murder.
Chris I love your reviews, been a fan for atleast 2 years now. I need you to do a movie review of take me to the river .
What I got from it Was .... Wait maybe I shouldn't give any spoilers incase you haven't watched it. It was slow at times but the pace was enough to keep me on the edge of my seat with dire questions
Good to hear you're also a Faithful Reader of King's novels. Tnx for the review, I'll skip this one and keep the book in mind instead :)
Any thoughts on The Dark Tower project currently being shot?
Hilariocity!
really ? no one is gonna talk abt the trololol song ? :
that part was funny
can i ask where you got that Tshirt from? Pure love for that Tshirt
Chris can you do a video ranking your favorite Stephen King books and then maybe compare that to your favorite movies? That would be an awesome video IMO. Hopefully you have the time to do it.
I liked it
If you want to review a GREAT movie, watch Midnight Special. I kid you not, it's amazing.
I still have yet to see that. (It didn't come to my area.) However, the DVD comes out next week. As soon as I can, I'm picking it up.
I may pick it up when the DVD/Blu Ray arrives I heard it's good and it has a good cast.
It's my top movie of the year so far. It's only June, but it was A LOT better than what I thought it was going to be.
moviemaniac14 That's cool I been wanting to see it ever since that trailer came out and all my theaters didn't have it and was Midnight Special a limited release?
Deric James I think it was.
I love that t-shirt, Chris! There`s all my childhood on it.
Nickelodeon was awesome then it's not awesome anymore.
time out where did you get that shirt !!!
World War C ....... get it
aha! dats a good one.
LMAO why didn't I think of that!
I get it I get it I see what you did there
You from CSUN?
I just watched the movie and oh man Chris.... you are so exagerating. There are so many more worse movies. this one was quite ok.
How come you didn't mention the part, where the Mr. Trololo song started playing?
Directed by Bowfinger ?
Cell is a fucking amazing book, I've read it three times. Please don't watch the movie, read the book because it's phenomenal. The movie is so bad it makes the book sound horrible, but trust me, the book is beyond incredible.
This pisses me off. I personally think Cell is one of Kings Best. Sam L Jackson is one of the best action movie stars ever. And whoever made this shit out one of the worst movies ever
It wasn't as bad as everyone keeps claiming. It held my attention I might have been a bit disappointment with the ending but Sam and John had awesome chemistry in this film, I think it's one of those films that people will always jump on the band wagon and bash.
The part that threw me off was when they decided to napalm torch the field of kid zombies at the school. They literally just meet this headmaster and 1 student. The headmaster goes "We can torch them, blow them up we have a spray truck". Then Cusack, Jackson, and the other girl just go "Ok sounds good!" Lol. No discussion about why the headmaster hadn't done it yet.....nothing. Just, "sure thing boss!" Also, why come up with some complicated plan burning them? They were smashing skulls with the truck! Why not just take them out that way? Or a multitude of other ways!
So, are you going to do a Hilariocity on this? It sounds like a good candidate.
dude brush your teeth
He has braces in.
+ThoughtsOfALeo oh yeah because braces make your teeth yellow, makes perfect sense
+Victor ABP guessing you've never had them
Victor ABP Hey, newsflash, they make different colored braces.
it's the colour of the braces ya idiot
So when are you gonna do Finding Dory?
I was in the same boat as you. I wanted to see this initially because of how much I loved Cusack and Jackson in '1408'. Now I know not to waste my time. Thank you Chris! Haha
Thanks for the heads-up... saved my precious time
