hearing Hugh say that this movie is a gift because of the sheer care and effort put in to each character makes me low key emotional. top 2 for me would be the who scene from end game starting from cap getting the hammer to on your left from falcon coming thru the ring and 1st is the x wing fly by and Luke slaughtering the death troopers on camera for the first time in over 40 years not recognizing the sequel's lmao those scenes i feel were true gifts to us fans
That shared experience Ryan talked about at the end, I have two perfect examples of that. When I went to see Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the scene where the mother ship rises up behind Devil's Tower, my jaw dropped open and I could hear the collective gasp of everyone sitting there. Then, when I saw the first Star Wars (which is what it was called in the late 1970's) even though it was a year after it released, when the Death Star exploded, everyone in the audience cheered and clapped for the Rebel's victory! So I agree with Ryan, that's an experience you can only get at the movie theatre. I am really looking forward to this third installment of Deadpool.

16:55 I’m glad he mentioned tone because when Fox first sold to Disney and all their heroes went over, I was so scared that we would lose the tone that Fox had built and I mean that in multiple context, including theatrical and some character visuals. Because the MCU looks incredible, but I’ve always loved how X-Men had its own sort of visual tone. Now that Deadpool has been able to maintain its own, I’m hoping there’s someway that that future MCU movies with the X-Men will still be able to hold some of the tone that created the live-action X-Men as one of the earliest and precursors of the 2010s superhero boom
The passion and love these gentlemen express for these characters is such a great example of what should drive filmmaking. If only this was the norm instead of the exception.
Variety needs credit for breaking the mold: …no cheesy host with poorly researched questions and cringe voices. Just the actors and director talking passionately about their work. I’ve seen this in your other interviews as well. As a movie and entertainment fan of 40yrs, thank you! 🍻 🙌

I love that this movie respects those of us who grew up with the comics and gives us moments and characterizations that honor how important these characters are to us. I'n sure I'm not the only one who was able to get through some hard times as a kid through connecting to them.
The answer to the question at 15:36 is music to my ears. At the end of the film, when Deadpool asks Logan if he'll see him around and Logan answers 'probably not', I assumed that was also an answer to Hugh coming back again in the near future. This interview makes it feel pretty likely that he will actually be back! Great stuff.
Having been a Wolverine fan since the late 80s, and a Deadpool fan since X-Force #3, I'm so excited for this movie. Ryan and Hugh were born to play these characters, and I could never get enough. Same. I kinda want my theater to be full when I see it. Nothing has ever beat the audience reaction to Cap holding Mjolnir, but I have a feeling we're gonna get something close
You'd imagine around Endgame time, this headline might have been true. But at this point doesn't Marvel need Deadpool more than Deadpool needs Marvel? I think Deadpool 3 is going / was going / will be going to smash records! And right now, Marvel needs a win, because the audience doesn't really care for anything they have done lately. But the audience loves Deadpool / Ryan Reynolds.
I find it crazy how much Ryan Reynolds has had to fight to get all of the deadpool films made, like they are some of the best comic book films out there, they do well commercially speaking and honest to god Deadpool and Wolverine is the best thing to come out of the MCU in years.

u can tell how much they love this movie, as an artist i know how excited they are and how this might be different than anything theyve done before
I loved these characters in the comics before any of the movies and these two are the ONLY actors that ever made me feel they’d really BEEN the characters from the books.
Got your tickets yet? I'm locked in for that first show on the 25th! Cant wait!!!
Yes
@@pyrobison2002 what time?
25th @720!!! It’s gonna be a spectacle!!!
@@VicThaGeekGod Yessir, brother! Hope you have an amazing time! This movie is gonna be insane lol
Same...on the 25th!!!
hearing Hugh say that this movie is a gift because of the sheer care and effort put in to each character makes me low key emotional. top 2 for me would be the who scene from end game starting from cap getting the hammer to on your left from falcon coming thru the ring and 1st is the x wing fly by and Luke slaughtering the death troopers on camera for the first time in over 40 years not recognizing the sequel's lmao those scenes i feel were true gifts to us fans
The way they "answered" to that Avengers question gives me a lot of hope ngl
Yup they’re def returning for secret wars it’s so obvious
Can't really do Secret Wars justice without an Infinity War sized cast.
Sometimes Shawn Levy looks like a character from a Doctor Seuss book.
Please don’t say that
@@swisserty I'm pretty sure they meant that in a good way. At least, that's how I'm choosing to take it. 🤙
Yes! He could be from Whoville
@@OG_Agrivar are you sure?? 🫤 I’m really losing sleep and been sad imagine shaw seein this comment and going on rampage, leaving wife and getting elective surgery.. I can’t imagine the pain of bein in the line might. Sniff me
You’re right
Wow what a great interview! I’m a fan of Hugh and Ryan’s friendship and now seeing Shawn interact w/ these two…really loving the dynamic between these three guys. And to think Shawn had a part in bringing Deadpool & Wolverine to the big screen AND (on an unrelated MCU note) in getting Donna Martin to graduate lol (Shawn had guest starred in a couple BH 90210 in his early 90s acting days).
This will be one of the first times ive gone to the movies in a LONG time, cant wait to see these 2 together!
Fastest 19 minutes of my life why couldn’t be more to the interview. Never wanted it to end 😅😂❤
4:56 What a phenomenal actor. You can't see Wolverine in this guy... Until it's show time.
Ryan+ Hugh=The Dynamic Duo ❤❤
Great Great interview
Whats impressive is how excited they still are after the long period of them filming and making the movie.
This is going to be probably the best film in 2024.
The passion and love these gentlemen express for these characters is such a great example of what should drive filmmaking. If only this was the norm instead of the exception.
12:54 thank god this director clears this up, brilliant answer
Variety needs credit for breaking the mold:
…no cheesy host with poorly researched questions and cringe voices. Just the actors and director talking passionately about their work.
I’ve seen this in your other interviews as well. As a movie and entertainment fan of 40yrs, thank you! 🍻 🙌
As a kid in the 90s I watched Spider-Man animated series and X-men animated series I first saw the yellow and blue suit in the trailer I freaked out thank you Hugh for coming back to reprise my favorite X-Men my husband and I actually named our son Logan because of Wolverine
Me too I can't wait
Treat to see a serious Ryan Reynolds.....just shows his commitment to all he does.....great husband and dad....family love❤❤❤
Wolverine in classic blue and yellow.
This is excellent.
Would love to see Jackman in the brown and tan too.
I love that this movie respects those of us who grew up with the comics and gives us moments and characterizations that honor how important these characters are to us. I'n sure I'm not the only one who was able to get through some hard times as a kid through connecting to them.
15:36 they all bounced around this question tooooo much, they’re definitely in the works.
I was dying laughing lol, this movie is going to be incredible
15:09 the chemistry! They are all in the same zone, it's a trinity of minds making our world a better place. Can't wait!
12:27 I appreciate the MOST important question being asked 👏 ❤
The answer to the question at 15:36 is music to my ears.
At the end of the film, when Deadpool asks Logan if he'll see him around and Logan answers 'probably not', I assumed that was also an answer to Hugh coming back again in the near future. This interview makes it feel pretty likely that he will actually be back! Great stuff.
Finally MCU Approves R-Rated Movies
The passion in this room is palpable, so excited for this movie!!!🍿
This movie is gonna be so good
Having been a Wolverine fan since the late 80s, and a Deadpool fan since X-Force #3, I'm so excited for this movie. Ryan and Hugh were born to play these characters, and I could never get enough.
I'm also glad how passionate they are about the characters, and how they are respectful of the source materials, and don't try to push any kind of message; they just want to make fun movies, and that's all everyone wants.
Shawn Levy is also Canadian. Two Canucks and an Aussie.(who is playing a fictional Canuck) :)
Shawn Levy's got incredible comedic energy, it's like watching three actors. Love it!
I’m seeing the movie opening night and my birthday is the same day as Hugh Jackman’s I’m super excited to see this movie it’s by far my most anticipated movie ever. I still can’t believe that my birthday is the same day as Wolverine
I have a baby that's pretty much stuck to my hip atm, so I can't watch this in the cinema... But I genuinely WANT TO, which is something I haven't felt about a movie in years.
This looks awesome.
One of my local theatres is running a parent's session where babies and toddlers are welcome. Maybe there's something like that local to you?
Ryan looks tired bruh thank you for your tenacity 🖤❤️. can’t wait for the debut!!! Your guys hard work and sacrifice will have a lasting impression on us all for ever 🖤❤️💙💛
I actually pre-ordered tickets...for a Marvel movie...in theaters. I don't pre-order tickets, I haven't watched the last three Marvel movies, and I HATE going to theaters.
That's how excited I am for this movie.
Same. I kinda want my theater to be full when I see it. Nothing has ever beat the audience reaction to Cap holding Mjolnir, but I have a feeling we're gonna get something close
This was delightful. Thank you.
Hypeness overload, i cant wait to watch this at the theatre 😎
I can’t wait for this, best series in the MCU.
They seem so passionate talking about this. Can’t wait
Pay me $50 Million and i can be that passionate, too.
I find it crazy how much Ryan Reynolds has had to fight to get all of the deadpool films made, like they are some of the best comic book films out there, they do well commercially speaking and honest to god Deadpool and Wolverine is the best thing to come out of the MCU in years.
Interviewer tried with that "how would you feel appearing in an avengers movie now that you guys are apart of the mcu?" Ahh question 😭
The wayt they share their creative insights, they let us feel the art and thier artistic view in film. It less talking on their personal interest but more on the character and the movie. They are just like brothers talking casually sharing their love in the film.
If the next Avengers has Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman, you can take my money at least 3 times lol
Will go down as one of the my favorite Marvel films of all time. Great work and thank you to everyone involved!
