Case 1.... Josh took an axe to both of his sons first and then set the house ablaze. The fact that the sons were allowed to go visit him supervised by only 1 female case worker while he was being investigated for murder shows how this country does not protect children. When the case worker called 911 when Josh locked her out, the operator did not take it seriously and handled the call in a half ass way. The system we are told is there to protect us, is BS in a major way!
You're absolutely right....the 911 call pissed me off SO MUCH! The caseworker tried to get the 911 operator to listen, it was horrible. She should have been escorted by law enforcement, especially with Susan's fears 😢
I dont think one case of negligence shows anything in particular and it would be a state level negligence, anyway. It's a sad story but trying to turn it into some broader political statement is also disrespectful. However, the reality that most dangers come directly within the family or peer group is a fact that people tend to ignore.
@@ataridc you think this is a rare occurrence for a government entity? lol that kind of thinking is why government is such a dismal failure, in this case with protecting children. Obviously you don't know who "we the people" are and just how much power and sway we actually have if we used it more.
When he came at her to take her life that’s probably what was going through her mind. What an absolutely sickening and horrible feeling that must have been, knowing she was right and couldn’t do a thing about it.
Reminds me of a story, told by the experiencer, she was a therapist’s client seeing her for the stalking by an ex she was going through and it was getting bad. The therapist cried and confided she was going through it too. The client felt like she was I danger for sure but it was more shocking that her therapist was killed. I’m probably remembering it wrong, maybe the therapist didn’t say anything, but it’s the fact she needed help too and it ended this way. It’s very unfair.

The primary suspect in Amber Tuccaro's case is a repeat offender who for some reason still walks free in Alberta and is *currently* trying to lure mostly young women and sometimes young couples to his ranch. Since justice system refuses to protect us, his name is Patrick Carson and he posts ads for his ranch as Billy O'Brian.
Josh's father was also a massive creep and became obsessed with Susan, despite being her father-in-law. He would stalk her and film her (and Josh) while she was out, some of said footage can be seen in this video
I heard excerpts from his “diary” that he’d been keeping regularly, for years on end, and the entire thing was about nothing but Susan. The man was seriously disturbed. Poor Susan.
It sounds like Amber's killer is a SERIAL KILLER!!! Even with the guy calling in & saying that was his father in the video, those idiot cops didn't listen. This is incompetence at its worst!!!
It was Deliberate. Rcmp was created in the first place to control and oppress Canada's First Nations people. They do things like starlight tours, where they take someone out of town in winter and then leave them there with no shoes or winter gear. There's too much history to say here. But it was definitely racism and it was definitely on purpose
In the second case, apart from the wrong doing of the Canadian Mounted Police, I find interesting that, when a person tells the police "My father lived in that area for a few years ilegally in a ranch, and there where more dissapearances around that place in the time", nobody tried to look for this man's father identity...
The way the man in Ambers case repeated “50th st” not once but TWICE is a hugeeeeee indicator. That’s also a trait that most criminologist would pick up on for the case in uncovering an identity.

Josh Powell and his dad were 100% weirdos. It’s terrible that Susan and her children never made it out of the situation. Hope her family find some kind of resolution like they can bring her remains home and family can fully mourn her

@@tammycruz8189well, that’s just where Josh SAID he took them. In reality, he could’ve taken her body somewhere else, and with the very real likelihood that the brother (and possibly father) helped conceal her body, it could literally be almost anywhere. Going by what happened after it sounds like she knew what happened and they just couldn't find any solid evidence. Yeah, he was murdered by his African buddies. It explains why they made up that obvious nonsense about dropping him at the gas station and also explains why his wife had no urgency in trying to find him.
I looked more into this for Henry. And something does seem very off. Gaps in facts are what have me curious. Here is what is absolute: 1. Henry did party with friends 2. William did give Henry a ride after the party. 3. Although it was mistaken in his testimony, there was video of William's Vehicle dropping him off at a different gas station than was mentioned. 4. William had possession of Henry's keys and wallet. Claimed it was to prevent him from driving. 5. Henry's autopsy ascertains that he was drowned. 6. Rush Lake is 6 miles away from the gas station he had been dropped off at. 7. The voice mail was sent around 2:28 AM shortly after he was dropped off at the gas station. 8. Henry was found 2 months after his disappearance. 9. No signs of a struggle, nor foul play. The questions: 1. Was Henry's phone ever recovered? A lot of information can be gathered from it including gps tracking to indicate potential path from the gas station to the lake. 2. How did Henry get to Rush Lake being so far away? 3. Why did William have Henry's Wallet? While it would be speculation alone, it wouldn't be implausible that a group effort could be involved to which keeping his wallet would prevent ease of identification depending on how long it would take to locate Henry's body. 4. Was any information obtained from workers at the club? Specifically figuring how much he had to drink would lower the potential theories prior to what followed. 5. Why was he dropped off at the gas station? William's testimony shedding light on this is more information to work with. 6. Where exactly did Henry drown? Creates the end point to work backwards from.
That poor guy, Henry. His wife absolutely knows what happened to him. There’s no way anyone with a brain would just roll over and go to sleep after hearing something like that.
I believe she hired a group of men to kill her husband. That is insane. If I was married and I got that phone call? I am gonna call the police the second the phone is hung up. I would even go as far as searching for him that night. No way she didn't know.

Everyone in Utah knew immediately what Josh Powell had done. There is NO reason to go out into the West Desert during winter, at night, with children. It is a perfect place to hide a body in a hurry though. My guess is he found an old well or tiny mining shaft that was never recorded. @decimanightelf4135 the RCMP have a track record for not taking MMIW cases seriously here. If you are native, you can't trust the cops. They won't look for you, or they will even be involved (Starlight Tours)
I've heard the recording that Amber Tuccaro made of her likely killer before- so chilling. It's clear she knew something was very, very wrong and was trying to record hints of where they were going. There is an absolute epidemic of Indigenous women going missing in the US and Canada, and law enforcement agencies in both countries are not taking it seriously. Some of the issue is that many of the women were hitch hiking, and there seems to be an attitude that whatever happened to them, they brought it on themselves. It's tough to own and keep a car on the road when you're poor. Kudos to content creators like you that keep these cases in people's thoughts.
Yes, absolutely! MMIP is an epidemic in both countries. Little to nothing is done by law enforcement. Meanwhile, the family, friends, and loved ones are fighting to keep their voices alive. Hopefully it changes soon!

Hey! Thanks for covering the case of Amber! Sadly what happened to Amber happens all too often when it comes to Native women, my own best friend went missing back in 2014 and the police reacted in a similar way to Amber's case and you could hear a lot more of similar cases if you ask the indigenous population in Canada if they knew similar cases.
Thank you for bringing attention to a missing Indigenous woman. Missing and murdered Indigenous is a huge issue that can still occur, and it's not a secret that RCMP along with other police forces take a lax attitude in these cases. The more public outcry, exposure and attention, the more authorities can be pressured to treat Indigenous cases like any other. --- a proud Canadian but not proud about the handling of these cases.

The Susan Powell case is one of the saddest ones I've come across. From everything I've read into, it seemed like Josh drugged her with some pancakes and killed her. His dad and his brother came to help him clean up the body and dumped her off somewhere. After one of his kids admitted something to their teacher of where her body might be, Josh moved her somewhere else or possibly burned her so people wouldn't be able to find her. So she's never gonna be found at this point. Almost every single important person who was involved with it (Josh, his brother, his kids, his dad and his wife) are all dead except for his sister and Susan's parents, so we'll never know what happened to Susan. The police HAD a chance to bring in Josh and wouldn't do it out of a fear of lack of evidence and they completely fumbled it even further by telling Josh that his kids had been telling them about Josh putting Susan's body somewhere. They inadvertently got the Powell boys killed and it's absolutely disgusting It's a wild case and I'd recommend looking through it if anyone is curious. This is Monsters had the best coverage of the story if you want to start there.

The story with Amber and the phone call has so much more to it and sadly there are a lot of other stories very similar that are treated the same by the RCMP & police. Her last call was recorded because a family member called her from jail while she was in the truck, she wasnt put on the missing persons list for awhile due to "confusion", then taken off and put back on. Once they actually took the missing claims seriously and released the call to the public several women called and reported the same man as being the one in the recording with Amber.

Because he's already ID'd. There are thousands of DNA tests submitted every day. They prioritize them. The least prioritized ones are from bodies that have been ID'd through other means. Brandon was identified by his clothes and personal effects. They aren't waiting on his DNA tests to know what happened. That's why.
As a mother, susans story destroyed me. The letter she left, urging her son's to be taken care of by her parents, just for the state to let them be murdered by their father too is horrific. Cases like this make me wish hell really did exist, so people like her husband would rot there.
Allegedly, when Kenny was young, his father committed suicide, and Kenny was unfortunately the one who found his body. It would make sense that he wouldn't want anyone else to have to experience that. So if he took his own life, it makes sense he decided to do it in place where no one would ever find him.
You say allegedly, is there ANY proof of that? Along with everyone else speculating he took his life without any proof, it'd be in incredibly poor taste. Even the apparent comment from his "girlfriend" sounds so muted and disconnected with it having nothing that wouldn't prove anything.
Josh probably had a friend in the prosecutor office who ensured he wouldn't face charges. Josh's brother took his own life because he himself was guilty in the murder. The judge and prosecutor didn't value the sons or wife - they valued Josh.

I’m only mentioning this as it adds context to the severity of just how screwed up Susan’s situation was, but it’s even more heartbreaking when you include the fact that Josh’s dad was absolutely obsessed with Susan. So much so, that he frequently sent letters to Josh and inquired about her when they talked on the phone. Susan was aware of this one sided affection & voiced her concerns to Josh on multiple occasions. Naturally he always dismissed her, stating that’s “just how his dad was” and that “it wasn’t a big deal”. It’s also worth mentioning that Josh had substantial mental health issues that were basically never addressed (no surprise there). Josh’s father’s infatuation with Susan got so bad that he outright asked that she “indulge” him, though this was finally enough of an advance for Josh to get involved (though this was more out of jealousy than actual concern for his wife). This, added with everything else that transpired, makes for an overwhelmingly tragic sequence of events that no person should have to endure. I only hope that Susan’s family has been able to find some kind of comfort in the fact that Josh is no longer alive to torment anyone else…however I can’t blame them if they are never able to come to terms with the loss of their daughter and grandchildren. It literally brings me to tears just thinking about the whole thing…

Ambers story breaks me. Being an indigenous woman myself, it’s completely heartbreaking to see how the RCMP didn’t take action until a later date. It shows how most of the force views Indigenous people to be party animals and drunks. So many indigenous people go missing or end up murdered, my heart goes out to the mother who just wanted to find her daughter

That Henry Mcabe recording is disturbing as hell. It definitely sounded like the was being strangled but if they didn’t find signs of foul play then I don’t know.
I think it sounds more like he's being drowned and am even more convinced when it said his body was found near water and because of the length of time it took to find the body they wouldn't have been able to tell if he drowned.

Case 1.... Josh took an axe to both of his sons first and then set the house ablaze. The fact that the sons were allowed to go visit him supervised by only 1 female case worker while he was being investigated for murder shows how this country does not protect children. The system we are told is there to protect us, is BS in a major way!

I dont think one case of negligence shows anything in particular and it would be a state level negligence, anyway. Must be horrible when someone like Susan feels like something will happen to her and it turns out that she is right.
When he came at her to take her life that’s probably what was going through her mind. What an absolutely sickening and horrible feeling that must have been, knowing she was right and couldn’t do a thing about it.

I looked more into this for Henry. And something does seem very off. Gaps in facts are what have me curious. Here is what is absolute:
1. Henry did party with friends
The questions:

I remember hearing somewhere that she was calling her brother. That wasn’t mentioned on this video though

They inadvertently got the Powell boys killed and it's absolutely disgusting
It's a wild case and I'd recommend looking through it if anyone is curious.

That man's name is Pat Carson, a convicted kidnapper and sex offender. It's unclear why the police ruled him out given that and women's testimony.

Because he's already ID'd. There are thousands of DNA tests submitted every day. They prioritize them. The least prioritized ones are from bodies that have been ID'd through other means. Brandon was identified by his clothes and personal effects. They aren't waiting on his DNA tests to know what happened. That's why.

Allegedly, when Kenny was young, his father committed suicide, and Kenny was unfortunately the one who found his body.

As a Canadian: The utter lack and deplorable performance of police in investigating first nation women who have disappeared is a mockery of justice that casts a shame on the entire RCMP and local police forces. There are hundreds of cases like the one in this video and they are just swept under the rug like trash.
Truly a despicable failure of justice and compassion.
May all these victims Rest In Peace 🙏 ❤️
Why did he omit the part about Josh Powell's dad being involved in Susan's murder, and his SA of her and his son? That is critical to the case. The dad is still alive to this day and needs to be in an isolation unit from society.
Josh’s father actually died in 2018 or 2019. You’re correct that he should be included in the story because what he did was disgusting.
@@stacyhernandez7338 Oh I didn't hear about that. Hope he rots. Thanks for the uplifting news.
Not sure if he died in prison, but they found child porn when they investigated the father and he was convicted of that.
Josh blew his self up along with his two boys. The one request that woman asked for and it went unheard.
@@Syphonfllter I think your misunderstanding what he's saying. Susan's letter said "if anything happens to me take care of my boys" that was all she requested, but he was able to harm them. Read it again.
The 4th call is absolutely bone chilling, dude was definitely murdered
Strangled it sounds like
it say there wasn't foul play involved what are you talking about
@@lindahardin9855That’s what I thought
There’s a good documentary on the first case. Boys said their mom went to after the dad said she didn’t
Using to instead of too had me so confused and had no clue what u was going on abt for ages
The Susan Cox case absolutely breaks my heart!!! The whole thing is disgusting! Sure was tormented for years by her husband and obsessed pervert father-in-law... you will never be forgotten beautiful baby girl❤
