17:39 - Okay, but consider that when those are down, they're refrigerated, keeping the water both cold and very easily accessed without having to store them in a separate refrigerator unit. This way, it's right on hand whenever you need a drink, and is also cold.
A better design would be to allow them to come up one at a time so that you are not losing all of the refrigeration every time you bring them up. Otherwise, I thought it was very cool (no pun intended).

Seeing this at 12 years old it gave me a deep understanding of how precious time is in all of our lives.. something I didn't actually appreciate until my young life crisis at 25.. how many sins do I get for that ?
This movie's flaws and problems aside, can we take a moment to talk about how Michael began the first steps in changing his life around after being given a second lease on life? Kinda makes me wish there was a sequel.
This movie has a halfway decent message, "Don't fast forward through your life." But suffers from the question, "who would use the Fast Forward button when they could Pause instead?" Completely broke my Suspension of Disbelief as a teenager, and as an adult find the protagonist totally irrelatable.
I never considered the "Angel of Death" being called Morty as a nod to morticians taking care of the dead, until now. Mostly because I actively avoid watching this movie, unless I'm looking to cry therapeutically
Why were you on Kevin O'Doyles side the whole time? He was the epitome of spoiled, obnoxious rich kid lmao. Everything Sandler did to him was warranted.
I don't understand why the critics think every peice of media that we consume has to be an Intelligently constructed masterpiece with some masterfully illustrated plot. Adam Sandler pausing time to take a stomach fart into his boss's face is funny and I don't care what anyone says. We all know it's stupid, I'm just watching it for a cheap laugh. I don't care if the ending is beyond predictable and the plot is filled with toilet humor every step of the way. It's just stupid humor and I like it.
I agree with cinema sins Not every parent hast to make it to every single game or recital my mother is a single mom she didn’t even make it to half of my basketball games when I was a kid and missed quite a few concerts for choir and band but I don’t blame her
I was severely disappointed in this movie after watching it for the first time, though I won’t lie, I did tear up when he chased after his son in the parking lot. That really hit home for me. And him saying bye to his father…🥺 oh sh*t…there I go again 😭
13:35 The reason why only the boss changed shape was because Michael solely aimed the remote at him. When he was in the car changing his skin colour, he directed it towards a mirror, which is why only Michael changed colour.

It's actually crazy because he was showing signs of multiple personalities throughout his life and no one called him out. You sinned it and I definitely agree lol
When this movie made everyone cry is when it won everyone over so much that not even this sin video could hurt its legacy. Ain’t nothing wrong with this gem! 😂
The fact that this whole plot got started is because our lead got confused about what remote dose what. I like this movie but damn if it doesn't have flaws. Definitely not one of Sandlers best movies. Its still better then pixels
Sin number 9 "Feeling so big you start dropping deep cut references to your older movies just because you can." should be removed. He has always done this, sort of thing. there are many jokes in all of his films that are references to his comedy albums, or SNL skits and such. Billy Madison for example highlights a scene where a Lunchlady serves up Sloppy joes, extra sloppy, which is clearly a nod to the song "Lunchlady land".
Apart from the several major plot holes, I am able to suspend my disbelief just enough to absolutely adore this movie. One of my favourites ❤ comforting as fuck.

I watched this when I worked in a cinema and I was the only person in the theatre. I almost walked out, but I stuck it out and ended up crying so hard I had to take like, ten minutes to recover
Honestly, my biggest take away from this movie is they didn't consider the "He has a very serious mental illness" route at least once or twice. It also would have played well with the ending: "Did he get a second chance, or is he just imaging it"? But either way, the way is wife and kids respond to him... clearly he's completely changing character on an uncontrollable whim after a certain point.

I get that 2000's Sandler movies are in a league of their own when it comes to being offensive, but the scene with the Cranberries' song could be a sin off.
Also, how is there not a "Kate Beckinsale isn't my girlfriend in this scene" sin??
Great content as always!
Yall just snowflakes, soon jokes gonna just be AI generated
They generally keep the X actress isn’t my girlfriend sin at bay when it undermines them calling out sexism in what they’re sinning.
It’s them being extra woke by not doing that particular “sin” anymore.
Comedy can be offensive. That’s why it’s comedy. People need to stop being so weak and dramatic.
@@pretends2know Damn that's insightful lol. It does make sense.
Every time I watch the final scene, I get legit goosebumps, something about this scene feels so ominous, the rain pouring down🌧 the cinematic and powerful strings and pianos 🎹🎵 Also Adam Sandler’s acting in this scene is PHENOMENAL! The way he’s shaking and trying to stay alive and how he’s whispering cause he can’t really speak. It gets me every time, also the fact that this is an Adam Sandler movie is Mind Blowing! I did not expect something like this! 👌
You mean the scene where he gives his wife’s new husband the finger just so he can be a dick to the guy one last time?
Except that's not the final scene. The final scene is him waking up in the BB&B and then heading back home, etm.
Movie probably would have been better if the rain scene was the end. After losing everything, Michael does everything he can to make sure his son doesn’t follow his mistakes, and that’s it.
I don't know about anyone else , but the ending scene in the Rain, has always made and still makes me cry to this day.
Why?
I don't know.
It just rips my heart out everytime
This was a very good movie! Don't let this satirical nitpicking of the film deter you from watching.
14:36 Cameron Monaghan is definitely not a discount Joker. He was great in that role! Discount Joker is Jared Leto.
nah punchable ginger will never be Joker & Gotham doesn’t count
This is one of the very few movies that actually made me cry when i was younger 😢
I watch it as an adult and it still gets to me.
Omg! Me too! Although, this video was a fair assessment and deserved all the sins it got. 😉😊
5:15 his name is morty because mor is the latin root for death. Ding!
De-aged Henry Winkler looked pretty damn good in my opinion
Nowhere near as surprising as de-aged Kurt Russell in GOG 2.
Man the moment he yelled at his dad hit so much but at the end with his son holding him in the rain always makes me cry
Finally, I thought you would never sin this movie.

Easily my personal favorite Adam Sandler movies. Definitely the movie's tone shifts heavily throughout, and it ends up being one of the most emotional movies I've ever seen.
If you dislike this movie, then of course I respect your opinion.
You're like if "you must be SOO fun at parties" was an actual person
You where the first channel on UA-cam I subscribed when I was on highschool, now I'm a Doctor in medicine, always love your videos !
@@wendybabendy @David Meyer Also those bottles exist exactly like that. Sold in supermarkets like Walmart.
Almost like getting them out of, hmm, I don't know, a refrigerator.
Same effect is achieved by having an ice box
@@jayedgar1384 Same _practical_ effect. But this is more stylish.
I'm not saying I'm going to be first in line to buy one, but there's definitely a market for things that are sleek and carry out their function with style. Case in point.
After my mom, sister and I saw this on DVD rental, my mom went upstairs to her room. We thought nothing of it. Then my dad came home late from work and went up stairs, and we heard my mom crying. My dad works a lot so the movie really hit home for her.
Seeing this at 12 years old it gave me a deep understanding of how precious time is in all of our lives.. something I didn't actually appreciate until my young life crisis at 25.. how many sins do I get for that ?
9:47 why don't I have an emergency Twinkie in my pocket??
Zombieland vibed
This movie's flaws and problems aside, can we take a moment to talk about how Michael began the first steps in changing his life around after being given a second lease on life? Kinda makes me wish there was a sequel.
This movie has a halfway decent message, "Don't fast forward through your life."
But suffers from the question, "who would use the Fast Forward button when they could Pause instead?"
Completely broke my Suspension of Disbelief as a teenager, and as an adult find the protagonist totally irrelatable.
I never considered the "Angel of Death" being called Morty as a nod to morticians taking care of the dead, until now. Mostly because I actively avoid watching this movie, unless I'm looking to cry therapeutically
Really? Mort is just a death word.
Mortician
Mortus
Mortality
Mortified
The word mort means death.
Why were you on Kevin O'Doyles side the whole time? He was the epitome of spoiled, obnoxious rich kid lmao. Everything Sandler did to him was warranted.
There is nothing wrong with click. It is perfection

I agree with cinema sins Not every parent hast to make it to every single game or recital my mother is a single mom she didn’t even make it to half of my basketball games when I was a kid and missed quite a few concerts for choir and band but I don’t blame her
Same, I try.my absolute best and make it to 98% of stuff but there's always the odd occasion where there's a clash and it can't be avoided
Frankly I preferred it when they weren't there. Had horrible stage fright, and them being there just made it worse.
I don't get why CinemaSins contradicts themselves and says he is not a good guy about a minute later
My dad is great, but he didn't go to any of my things when I was a kid.
That fart scene was comedy gold! 😂😂😂

I was severely disappointed in this movie after watching it for the first time, though I won’t lie, I did tear up when he chased after his son in the parking lot. That really hit home for me. And him saying bye to his father…🥺 oh sh*t…there I go again 😭
Never heard of this film before, but am now tempted to seek it out just for that dad scene everyone's going on about.
13:35 The reason why only the boss changed shape was because Michael solely aimed the remote at him. When he was in the car changing his skin colour, he directed it towards a mirror, which is why only Michael changed colour.
6:50 I just ate a bagel and nearly lost my mind when you said that

There's this movie called "For Richer or Poorer" with Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen. It's one of those movies they'd play on the weekends on TBS. The first 3 mins has shots of adding machines, price tags and credit card machines.

I had it on VHS! Kirstie alley was still so pretty at the time they made it
One of my childhood guilty pleasures tbh. It’s so cute ❤️
Sloppy Joe,Slop sloppy Joe
Your snow flakery is the best part of these
13:34 the remote worked on Michael there because he pointed it at the mirror. Guess you weren't paying attention!

Just watched this movie last night for the first time and it was actually amazing. Really funny and then really sad. The whole time you're invested in what is happening or what is going to happen. 9.5/10
Being disappointed to let people down when you genuinely try to help is being 'Narcissistic'?...
Guess im Narcissistic as hell
He isnt really trying to help. Just looks more like complaining that things dont go your way.
But yeah, there is a line between those sides.
7:52 Ian from Shameless? Wow, i forgot you were in this movie.
Just remember this movie deserves 20 less sins just because it reminded cinemasins of a NyQuil moving memory.
It's like CinemaSins forgot the suspension of disbelief and point out things that used to be jokes as bad.
It's like CinemaSins is a comedy channel and pokes fun at movies because they love movies.
Look I like this movie, the concept is brilliant but the execution could’ve been better but I think they did a good job with it
I think with a universal remote control, this is about as creative you’re gonna get, now true sci-fi drama or fantasy with this, different story
The concept already been by Its A Wonderful Life, ya know a way better movie
16:20 it’s almost like we weren’t sensitive ass bitches to every demeaning piece of media back then, and didn’t have a mental breakdown when watching something “offensive”
though on the same token, if ever the term ‘problematic’ applied to a movie, this is it
Seriously. I feel like this channel has just because a total snowflake. Can't make jokes at anythings because it's offensive somehow.
I watched this when I worked in a cinema and I was the only person in the theatre. I almost walked out, but I stuck it out and ended up crying so hard I had to take like, ten minutes to recover
Cinemasins: No therapist would act like this.
Me: Unless they’re Dr. Phil
Sandler also rips off "The Twilight Zone (A Kind of Stopwatch)." Good choice.
I get it, views were changing by that point, but, it was 2004 ish, they probably didn't think too much of going down that route.

The sin for the dog barking in 6 languages is the loudest I've laughed at a sin in a long time. Followed up with the "human. Dog." bit was hilarious

1:49 HABEEBOO! I don’t care if it’s a culturally insensitive joke that shit makes me laugh every time! 🤣
The irony of CinemaSins starting out making fun of everything and everyone when it started flashback to now it’s offended by everything
Yeah the narrator is proper woke now, and comes across as someone who can't take a joke. During this video he says that this film came out in 2006, not 1986, as if in 2006 we all forgot how to have a laugh, like no dude, this snowflake offended at everything bullshit only came into prominence in the last few years. I was 15 in 2006 and all these jokes were just normal, it was okay to make a joke. Sure, this film is silly and the jokes could be interpreted as lame even at the time, but if they're lame, they're lame, doesn't mean they're offensive. It's a shame because this channel used to be hilarious and I always enjoy when they point out continuity errors or things that shouldn't be there or don't make sense, but now it's hard to find those in between all the crying about jokes stuff
