    Hello Olena I am so thankful for the help you gave us ♡♡♡ i have a question about the use of sunscreen around the eye area. Should we apply the sunscreen close to the eye as well ?(paying attention that the sunscreen doesn't go into the eye of course). And if we use the sunscreen on the eye area like everyday, should we wash the eye area everyday as well? I hope you can solve my dilemma! Thank you a lot!

    • @OlenaBeley
      @OlenaBeley  Місяць тому +1

      Yes, sunscreen around the eye area would be very helpful (if you can find a formula that doesn't cause eye stinging -- this is very personal, and will require a little experimentation). And if you wear sunscreen, it makes sense to remove it thoroughly at the end of the day! :)

    When you say to avoid oils, do you include squalane oil in that category? I've been using it as my final moisture step in my routine because I find other products, specifically ones with fragrance like the bioderma gel creme, to flare up perioral dermatitis on my skin. Squalane is so simple that it doesn't do that, but I don't want to be clogging my skin in turn.

    • @OlenaBeley

    Almost all the filters are oil soluble and almost all the makeups are oil based, so I personally don’t like the idea of wearing Makeups on top of sunscreen. On the other hand, mineral makeups are fine or more “compatible” to wear after the sunscreen, however it’s the application (usually involves using brush to buff the powder into the skin) that could render the consistency of sunscreen layer. I personally would love to know the way around it but for now, I’m giving up cosmetics all together so the sunscreen is completely left alone, the bonus is it makes reapplying sunscreen a lot easier too. Just my two cents.

    Ummm.. I live in Saudi Arabia - you can imagine the sun!! -
    Yet the sunscreens that don't leave a lame greyish cast on my dark toned face were SPF 40 & 45.. At least from what I found!!
    Anyways.. So.. Would that SPF be enough?!!!

    I wear sunscreen daily since i was 20. Im now 30. I avoid too much sun and always use umbrella whenever i go out. Not because of anything (i.e. tanning) but more of skin protection aganist damage such as wrinkles and burns. In my country, the only available drugstore sunblock is nivea spf 50 which is technically sticky to tacky. But i didnt care. Hahaha. im very happy with the results. My skin is glowing and not ageing.

    The BS that squalane oil can benefit oily acne-prone skin ruined my skin and i got really bad cystic acne all over the face in just a couple days of use.

      Olena Beley Thats interesting b/c I have oily skin and my skin has been thriving since I incorporated rose hip and jojoba every night. I don’t know anyone who’s had a negative experience which those two oil. But to each is own I guess.

    Never quite grasped why you would need to wear suncream year round.. almost like you’re terrified of any sunlight.. we weren’t designed to be wearing sunscreen use common sense and just don’t sit in direct sunlight all day
