Kinship spf 60 is 28, their spf 32 is only 26, one lasts about a month for me, though I use a separate product to reapply. I think the reapplying shits BS so they can sell more product. zinc is reflective, and as long as you don’t sweat it or rub it away it should still work.
Black girl sunscreen, spf 50 I believe. Their kids version. It has an oilier finish so if you don’t like that it might not be the best, but I have really sensitive skin and it’s never once broken me out. $10 (I use it as a moisturizer and sunscreen in one)
I love the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Clear Skin Suncreen. I have very oily skin. It’s the only one I’ve found that I love and doesn’t feel oily. And the Black Girl sunscreen is 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 a god-send
Thanks I’m gonna try it . I’m black and all I’m getting are greasy sunscreens that make my face shiny even tho they say oil free . When i use a mineral it leaves a huge white cast . I can’t take it
My issue is that these sunscreens are in small ounces for an average of $35. Most people do not apply enough sunscreen and if they do then the product is done within a week or two.
Black Girl Sunscreen, the one they mention at the end, is $16 at Target! I do hope they begin to make sunscreen more affordable overall too so more people wear it.

Thanks so much for covering Black Girl SunScreen! I love the kids version for myself and my child! It has a higher SPF, we struggled to find something that did not turn our little kid purple or blue...Black Girl Sunscreen was perfect for our skin!
Black girl sunscreen is🔥🔥🔥 I'm dark-skinned and it doesn't give me a cast AT ALL and it's very moisturizing to my dry skin. Doesn't cause breakouts and it gives me a ✨️glow✨️. Yeah, go get that.
@@jordyyy9987 that sucks! I have sensitive skin as well, eczema to be exact but it doesn't bother me at all! As the commenter above has said, you probably have acne prone skin and need something lighter! Black Girl Sunscreen is a bit on the oily side. Good luck to finding one though. The struggle is real with us sensitive-skinned folk.
@@denisewilliams2818 If you don’t have acne prone skin I think it’s worth a try! A lot of people love this sunscreen so it may work for you! You never know till you try 😊
I love the Neutrogena Mineral Zinc sheer sunscreen- I don’t think it leaves a bad white cast, if it does, it’s just for a second and then it blends into the skin beautifully. I have super dry skin and I just love this one.
I am a black girl and I have never heard of black girl sunscreen until this year. I have been sleeping on all the good skin care updates. I need to try it out. 😋 thank you for the suggestion. I have been using cerave sunscreen and Nivea sunscreen. But they just don't cut it I think.
I love Black Girl sunscreen for winter and fall it is a bit too greasy for me this time of year but my skin is not super dry in summer. I am Caucasian and honestly I think anyone can use this sunscreen. I just picked up the kid's SPF 50 at Walgreens and I actually like that better than the ones designed for adults it does not seem as greasy but that could be just me. I say try it..they also make a matte formula. I love supporting small women owned businesses.
My daughter uses this sunscreen. It seems a bit too greasy for me . Gives off a lot of shine. Though I am fair skinned and my daughter is darker In tone she loves it!!! She says it gives her a “glow”😉
What’s wrong with you? You’re literally built with “sunscreen” skin and now you wanna put this poison on your skin, it enters your blood stream, it causes cancer. But you do you just to fit in
I just came back from holiday and I assure you, I can tan and burn. I'm still a human being. The sun can still damage me. Just want to be extra cautious when protecting my skin so I can stay youthful. 🤗
@@shanikacorb then don’t sit there and tan lol. There’s nothing natural about baking in the sun so obviously even with sunscreen you’re still causing harm. Moderation in fact is actually healthy for you and allows you to live longer. Wanna be cautious, then stay away from these unhealthy chemicals and don’t stay in the sun for a long period of time
for me the best value ive been able to find for a facial routne is from walmart : 16oz cerave SA daily facial wash 16$ , cerave daily face lotion 16oz 16$ , advanced clinicals retinol lotion 16oz 16$ for night , and eucerin daily spf lotion 16oz 12$ for daytime
I came here to see if Black Girl Sunscreen would make the list and was super happy to see it represented! I wear it every day and it blends great into my fair skin. I have dry, relatively sensitive skin (in case anyone is on the fence about trying it).
I love Black Girl sunscreen, too (both regular and Kids version). I'm sensitive (especially to fragrance) and have dry skin but they work great for me.
I adore you both! I love the friendship and the inside jokes! The chemistry, camaraderie and the bond. I can binge watch these videos like it was a Netflix special. Thank you for so the content you both put out.
The Beauty of Joseon is one of the few sunscreens that doesn’t burn my eyes. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on sunscreens that ended up being body sunscreens because the minute they get near my eyes… I’m in pain for hours
@@slhilliard The Beauty of Joseson is so inexpensive, for the moment, feels so lovely, and doesn’t burn my eyes that as long as it’s affordable….it will be my go to.
How does it smell? I have it on my list of sunscreens to try out. However, I absolutely hate the typical "sunscreen smell" traditional sunscreens have - and I will NOT use anything with that stink, no matter what (yes, I smell it the whole day, unfortunately). I'd be glad if you told me how the Beauty of Joseon smells! Thank you!
Blk Girl was the absolute first sunscreen I've worn consistently throughout the summer. Finally I don't look like a shiny ghost! I highly recommend it 👌🏾
@@shirleenwanjiru719 The version of Black Girl Sunscreen (BGS) in this video has a dewy finish. BGS also has a clear, lightweight sunscreen gel called 'Make it Matte'. It kind of feels like a primer. I have them both and they're both great.
I actually can recommend another active sunscreen called Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen. I used to use this in my long distance swims (5k) and half Ironmans. I have never burned with this. It may have a white cast if you throw it on thickly (more than a teaspoon per limb) but it lasts in two-hour swims in open water so that’s what sold me. I’ve worn it to watching all-day events in the sun and have never been asked if I’d been to the beach the day after. LoveLoveLove!!!!
I put blue lizard sunscreen on my nephew every day before dropping him off to summer camp and I’ve noticed less freckles appearing this year. I just hope he’s reapplying at least once while he’s at camp.
My ultimate sunscreen recipe: 1 part SuperGoop Unseen sunscreen, 1 part SuperGoop Matte Screen, and 1 part CeraVe PM lotion. I think sunscreen is much more popular now, but let me say that wearing it daily from an early age will greatly benefit you in the long run. Back in the early 80’s when I was a teenager, all I could find was Clinique City-Block, so that’s what I wore. Every day. Fast forward 40 years and I always get compliments on my skin, even at 55. I’m just so happy there are now so many great sunscreens to choose from.
Thank you.... Because of you both, I have a great sunscreen routine that is amazing. After my skincare, I moisturize around my eyes because the best sunscreen I've ever used around my eyes and on my lids and brows is that Neutrogena Ultra Sheer. It's rocks. But it's too white for all over. Around my eyes it just brightens a bit and doesn't sting. Face gets La Roche Posay with a touch of tinted Elta MD on my sunspots on my cheekbones. Neck and chest get Neutrogena Hydro Boost... and hands get CeraVe 30 moisturizer. Sounds like a lot but none of them work for everything. Finding the right products for the right bits ensures that I wear it all everyday. And it takes less than 2 minutes, seriously.
I'm really loving a lot of the Japanese sunscreens - the Biore UV Watery Essence and the Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel are my current favorite day-to-day sunscreens, and the Kose UV Perfect Essence Super Water Proof is my go-to waterproof sunscreen for outdoor activities. Japanese sunscreens DO tend to contain a lot of ethanol for a quick-dry, light finish though, but my skin isn't bothered by it
The state of Hawaii has banned sunscreens that contain oxybenzone and octinoxate- two chemicals that are harmful to the coral reef. Can you do a discussion on which brands you can recommend w/o these ingredients?
I am surprised you did not talk about La Roche Posay sunscreen. I have UV sensitivity . I tried almost everything under the sun, but after 30 minutes under the sun, I was covered in red bumps and it was so itchy. Finally I discovered La Roche Posay sunscreen during my trip to Europe. It was life saver for me. However, when I came back to USA, I discovered that it was not sold here. I was in shock ( it was 20 years ago). So I found the way to get through Canada. Now , thankfully , it sold in states. I cannot be without it. I recommend to anyone, who has so called “sun sensitivity”.
I just tried the Altruist SPF 30 and 50 sunscreens and I LOVE them. The Skin Clinic ships to the U.S. for a reasonable price. They’re very lightweight and water resistant which I need in the humid South.
Frezyderm Sunscreen(I use the "CLEAR" one, haven't tried the "TINTED" one). Frezyderm sunscreen is great as well, at least for me. I have acne prone & oily skin. It works really well and is very light weight.
I hate the feel of 99.9% of sunscreens but the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen is a godsend and the only one that I don’t cringe about using. I actually love using it because it looks matte and doesn’t feel like I have anything on my skin.
One of the biggest issues for me is that tinted or white casts always stain my clothes so I was able to get a couple of your recommended product to address this issue. Thank you so much
Doctorly, I am very surprised seeing Biossance Sunscreen being recommended without a warning. There are hundreds of reviews online about that sunscreen with people who never had any issues to any face products before, having a horrible reaction, rash, redness, itchiness, inflamation, etc. that will last for days before it gets better with Biossance sunscreen. I am one of those people and it took me weeks to realize it was the sunscreen causing all these issues and never before did I have any issues with anything else in my life. It gets worse when you go outside and the sun hits the face with that sunscreen on.
@@luve5369 I went to Sephora the other day and I tried both mineral and chemical: - The mineral one left a slight grey-ish tint on my back hand+ I could feel my skin tightening. I don’t want my face to be drier than it already is. - The chemical one (non tinted) I really liked the formula and there were no cast but the smell … I couldn’t bare it. But for now im more lean to a physical sunscreen because I have melasma and I want to protect my skin from the sun as much as possible
Sadly I had a terrible reaction after using tinted Drmtlgy. Tried twice, same outcome, acne. After alot of trial and error my HG is Obaji Sun shield Matte! So good 😊
@@hetty805 I felt the same, I searched for reviews on diff sites to see if others experienced bad reactions, all positive. Their CS is amazing (sent 2nd bottle free) I’m assuming that’s why ppl are hush? Idk, but caused cystic acne after 2 days of using.
Watching your banter back and forth while filming cracks me up! You guys are helpful and informative, straight forward and honest about the products you review, are are funny as comedians! This channel is fabulous!! Thank you so much for the wonderful information you give and the simple way you both present your opinions based on data and science.
Completely agree about not bothering with moisturiser under sunscreen - if you have a good one it should do what a moisturiser does so need for double bubble!
Biore watery essence is a cult classic. The alcohol can be drying and irritating though. Mustela hybrid sunlotion is so nice, and I miss it so much!! Apieu and Missha's mineral sunscreens with centella asicatica are really nice and fairly affordable and soothing on skin! Avene intense protect is pretty darn good so far.
I LOVE the Eucerin Oil Control SPF 50 sunscreen. It's the first one I actually like to wear daily. It leaves a nice and natural, slightly matte finish without drying out my oily but sensitive skin. Can't recommend it enough.
How important is it to cleanse your skin AFTER wearing sunscreen all day? Is a foaming face wash good enough or is it important to DOUBLE cleanse to get rid of all that sunscreen ? And what are the negative effects of sunblock/ SPF that wasn’t removed/washed off properly? 🤔
I heard by dr dray on UA-cam that double cleanse is the best for when you wear sunscreen cause a face wash alone won’t remove it all. Sunscreen is a bit stubborn to remove
I spend a lot of time gardening and sweating in the sun and my eyes have hated every sunscreen I’ve ever tried, except for Shiseido water resistant SPF 50. I just got it 2 months ago and I can’t imagine using anything else now.
Love all of these sunscreens! ISDN and DRMTLGY are two of my holy grail sunscreens, even though the tint messes up my masks and collars. I'm also a big fan of Korean and Japanese sunscreens--they're the only chemical sunscreens I can use without irritation around the eyes and neck. One of my long-time favorites is the Hada Labo Gokujyun UV white gel. I've been using it for years and it's still the best! Goes on very light and leaves no cast whatsoever, though it can leave the skin a bit shiny.
I have oily, breakout prone skin and my skin can be easily sensitized. My two holy grail sunscreens this year have been the Black Girl Sunscreen Kids SPF 50 and the Eucerin Age Defense SPF 50. I am not a fan of zinc oxide sunscreens, they irritate my skin and always leave a whitecast (I have a Fitzpatrick type 3-4 skintone). And even with my oily skin, I prefer a more moisturizing sunscreen over an oil control because those oil control ones always feel so drying.
I was curious about the Black Girl Sunscreen on acne prone skin. considering some of the ingredients, are ones I think I’ve had trouble in the past with. I might give the kids version a shot.
After trying many sunscreens I've now settled with Safescreen Teesta mineral sunscreen. It works great for my skin. It doesn't burn my eyes and blends well.
I’m allergic to fragrances and most essential oils. I also need a sunscreen that won’t sting my eyes. My other requirement is that the company is cruelty-free. I know La Roche Posay and Neutrogena are not. I’m not sure about the other companies.
My holy grail sunscreen is Australian Gold Botanicals Tinted Face SPF 50. This is a mineral formula that comes in 3 levels of tint for different skin tones, so it is easier to blend. The body version of this is also amazing, but it isn't tinted as far as I know.
i’ve been wearing sunscreen everyday for 6 years and have tried many brands and my brother bought me this one Korean brand and it has been my favorite. Doesn’t break me out, moisturizing, no cast, natural glow
Please do more sunscreens. Love hearing your opinions. Also more Korean spfs would be great. I have sensitive yet dry skin. But don't like shiny. I feel like I've tried a million spfs. I am currently using Elta elements but it's to dark and I have to mix it. I would love a company to come out with a great tinted SPF in many shades..or at least 3!
Have you tried Olay Regenerist Mineral Subscreen SPF 30? That leaves little to no cast on me. Dr. Jarts Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 is another good one and makes my skin completely matte.
Love Isintree sunscreen. Doesn’t sting the eyes, no white cast for dark skinned girls and quite moisturizing too - so can double as moisturizer and sunscreen. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
@Trinity M their baby sunscreen formula yeah. But the spf 30 shown in this video is not a winner !!! I am in many black girls skincare groups -- and 9 out of 10 we all go for the baby formula to support the company. Koreans sunscreens are THE GOATS. 🙏🏽
My favorite tinted mineral sunscreen, Australian Gold, has been out of stock for over a month now and I’ve been scrambling to find a good replacement. It was so affordable! I hope it comes back soon.
Australian Gold tinted is my favorite too. I always buy a couple tubes when it goes on sale at Target so I have extra on hand b/c you are right it goes out of stock all the time.
Hero’s Cosmetics Sunscreen has been amazing for me. Been using it for the last few months, goes on slightly greasy but absorbs really well like a moisturizer and it’s green toned which helps cancel out my redness a bit. I have sensitive skin and have had no issues.
I have extremely oily skin. I have been using the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel for over a year now and I absolutely it. It’s light weight. I do not get red at all while wearing it. And to me one of the most important things I look for in a face sunscreen… the product does not run, drip or melt off my face and into my eyes! I just have a bottle in my bathroom and a bottle in my purse with me at all times. I’ve gotten my son and husband to both use it now also. My daughter wears a sunscreen, but she found one for her skin type that she uses every day.
I love the Dr Jart Sun Everyday I think it’s called. I’m allergic to something in chemical sunscreens but not sure the exact ingredient. Thank you for this review!!
Just found you guys. Love, love , love!!!! So informative in a fun way. I am a newer esthetician ( been a skin care junkie for decades though). I personally love La Roche Posay light fluid mineral sunscreen. So lightweight and no cast at all. I love the tinted version. It’s perfect touch of natural color for those of us that don’t wear foundations. I recommend it to all my clients that are hesitant to wear sunscreen because of heaviness/ cast. Thank You for the great info and keep it coming!!
Anti-aging sunscreens for the skin are good, but I have not found a satisfactory one, because they often cause shine, oiliness, not water resistance ..
That's where ISDIN earned it's place for me. But it certainly is $$$. Interestingly, it's actually cheaper if you buy it in person at a dermatologists office. Unfortunately, you have to find a derm that carries it too -DrM
I have oily skin and Elta MD clear made me breakout so badly. You guys are definitely right about using what works for you. 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for other suggestions.
The LRP Toleraine Double Repair is my current fav US sunscreen. It looks really shiny at first but it dries down quickly and just gives me that kinda "lit from within" glow. I do have very dry skin, if you have normal to oily, stay away. But it's definitely great, and the price point is pretty good too. And it doesn't feel heavy.
Elta MD sport is also good for the those who are active. My everyday go to is, ISDIN tinted and it is really good for those who suffer with hyperpigmentation.
Problem in this country (usa) is 99.9% of the sunscreens available are greasy as hell...even if they state they are for oily skin plus price is outrageous to use on whole body and who wants to reapply every two hours on dirty sweaty skin not me. Wish some one would invent a sunscreen you put on once and done for the day. Maybe just maybe more people would be incline to use it.
Ikr. It's the most gross thing in the skincare world. I can't be comfortable reapplying sunscreen over a face full of oil and dirt. Like why don't they suggest to atleast rinse your face with clean water before reapplying sunscreen.
Try putting on some transluscent powder ontop ! Its been working great from me keep the spf from rubbing off on my hair and feeling nasty and greasy and makes my face look clean
That’s just the reason I stopped using USA sunscreens many many years ago, and I’m only 21! I can’t stand the white cast, greasiness, heaviness, and stinging.
I think US citizens should try to get their hands on EU/Australian/Asian sunscreens, since they have more modern ingredients especially with better UVA-protection...
yeah well between the ordering then shipping and waiting forever to get it and then hope and pray the US Postal service does not f**k up and drop your package at the WRONG house (which btw is an everyday thing here the past few yrs) plus it would cost a small fortune to buy these products
My problem is even the sunscreens that are “recommended” by those in skin care seem bad for our skin……? I bought the Elta MD tinted sunscreen and immediately returned it after scanning the product with the YUKA app. It had a horrible rating showing that there are two hazardous ingredients in it and one moderate risk ingredient. Why is it sooo hard to find good products!! 😭
I love Banana Boat Light as air sunscreen lotion for face. it has UVA/UVB broad spectrum SPF 50+. It's my go to, I have tan skin and blends well leaving no white cast. It makes my skin dewy but I can easily fix it with a matt powder!
yes I love this one too!! I have like three bottles on hand at all times lol it actually makes my face look better than without it, it lfeels like it has HA in it or something but I don't think so? anyways, love it !
I love the DRMTLGY physical tinted moisturizer as my moisturizer. I find it covers better. I don't wear foundation so this is perfect. I'm team matte finish and this is more matte than the Universal moisturizer.
Please do a review for ppl with sensitive skins! I keep getting contact dermatitis off various sunscreens, moisturizers, and i'm too scared which ones to use.
I have dry, dehydrated sensitive skin. I also get contact dermatitis with any skin care products until I figure out its fragrance that irritates my skin. My dermatologist told me to switch to fragrance free mineral sunscreen but having dry skin it drys me out even more and gives me itchy skin, red bumps and redness, tingling feeling. Then I switched to fragrance free chemical sunscreen and never going back. La roche posay toleriane uv, nuetrogena ultra sheer face serum, bondi sands face for sensitive skin are what I use and have not had any issues anymore 🙌. Fragrance free all the way will help you for sure for every products you use.
I have this same issue 😢 I get ridiculously itchy then break out in loads of tiny little white spots which do go away within a few days if I stop using the sunscreen but the itchiness takes longer and it is so uncomfortable and makes me so self-conscious so I am just terrified of sunscreen! The first I reacted to was supergoop unseen sunscreen, which I think is chemical but fragrance free? It really bothers me that chemical sunscreens don't state that they are chemical sunscreens...nivea has done the same to me now too and I was sure I had used it in the past so thought I'd be safe with one I've used before. I've been scouring these comments for recommendations of what to brave trying next.
I just bought the laroche posay sunscreen double repair and it has not been breaking me out and doesn’t give me that oily look but still gives me a glow! Just incase anyone has been scared to purchase I understand that feeling I feel like I’ve tried everything and it was giving greasy! But the la roche posay does not
Been using the Paula’s Choice Daily Hydrating fluid lately and loving it. It’s spf and super lightweight and I don’t get a cast. Would love to see you guys review that!
Would you please do a review of DAILY sunscreens for body (not face)? Sunscreens (mineral, please) that are full-on moisturizers and can block rays on hands and arms as you drive to work. Love your videos ❤️
I love the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc SPF 50! I wear it every day on my neck as my neck tends to be a bit sensitive and this really helps keep things calm. Very little white cast as I really work it in. I wear Paula's Choice on my face. Perfect combo for me! 🎉💖
As a gardener for my job who is outside all day every I can confirm that Neutrogena sheer touch face and body sunscreen is amazing, it doesn't leave a white cast, when you sweat it doesn't sting your eyes. It doesn't break you out or irritate your skin. 100% recommend this one. Trust it from someone who's used it every day for years!
I swear by the Sun Bum tinted mineral sunscreen. It wears so well on my skin, for everyday I just wear that with a little concealer and call it a day!!!
Could you talk about how to correctly clean it off in your next sunscreen video? Since we are wearing it daily, how do we wash it off completely without irritating our skin? Also, please include Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen skincare milk SPF 50+ for your next review. Some say Anessa is the best Japanese sunscreen brand and is widely popular in Asia. Would love your thoughts :)
Go to my IG or Tiktok. I'm obsessed with cleansing balms and micellar water and even DRMTLYs new oil cleanser. I have a couple videos up about it. Actually, it's hard not to post every week about it because it's like a magic trick to me when I wash off 3 layers of sunscreen in about 15 seconds 😂 -DrM
You should do a review of Jack Black Oil Free Sun Guard SPF 45! It took me forever to discover after searching high & low for the perfect budget-friendly sunscreen. It has zinc oxide and is seriously magic in a bottle for my oily, darker toned skin.
I work at Chick-fil-A and work outside a ton. I actually love the Neutrogena one. I let the first layer sit for a while and then apply another. It actually dries down pretty well for me, as I’m already very fair. 😂
@@SG-wq4rm Isntree has a mineral sunscreen (Hylauronic Acid Natural Sun Cream), but most people are referring to the Hylauronic Acid Watery Sun Gel, which is chemical. And the Beauty of Joseon is also chemical.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE review trader joe’s sunscreen!!! it’s seriously my favorite and most comfortable spf i’ve ever used, it’s non comedogenic and (i’m not kidding) it feels so fresh on the face. Best part it’s only $7.99 !
You guys are pretty awesome because you are passionate about recommending sunscreens for all different needs. The one thing I would like to see is sunscreens on a budget, because not everyone can shell out twenty or thirty dollars for a 3 ounce tube of sunscreen...
Hello there! Love your dynamic and informational videos! :) So how long do I have to wait after applying moisturizer before I should apply my sunscreen? Also, I have read a few places online that whether you apply sunscreen before or after moisturizer depends on what type it is? Is that true? For example, they say that chemical sunscreens should be applied before moisturizer to allow it time to work, and physical should be applied after? While it sort of makes sense, most of the dermatologists on YT have just generally said to apply sunscreen last as a general rule without getting into type.
The MDSolarSciences Mineral Crème SPF 50 is fantastic and I’m surprised it’s not included here! Has antioxidants (green tea, pomegranate, cranberry, Vitamin C & E), fragrance-free, 100% mineral (titanium dioxide, zinc oxide), and is cruelty-free, and reef-safe! I find it has a very soft silky texture and blends right in with barely any white cast.
Im getting this one soon idk why this one isnt talked about as much, I was on a quest to find a good sunscreen and the reviews r really good cant wait to buy it
@@dany1654 I hope you love it as much as I do! ☀️ Sunscreen is obviously so important and their version makes it feel luxurious, less like a duty to make sure to put it on.
I love the hero forceshield sunscreen and I don’t think I’ve seen any videos on it. Zinc based, spf 30, personally no white cast or eye sensitivity, hasn’t caused any change in my acne.
Tried Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and while it does go on pretty clear and thin, it made my face really dry. My skin began to shed. Went back to my original Bondi Face Sunscreen. Will try some others.

Try some body sunscreens - get a lot of product for less and they have better formulas these days...

You’re the real MVP. 🙏🏻
Same! A number of these are too pricey to also be using daily on the rest of the body
I love the Eucerin Daily Hydration SPF 30, Banana Boat Light as Air SPF 50, Bondi Sands SPF 50, and Neutrogena Hydro Boost SPF 50!
Black girl sunscreen can be used on the body also it’s a 3.4 Oz bottle
Thanks so much for covering Black Girl SunScreen! I love the kids version for myself and my child! It has a higher SPF, we struggled to find something that did not turn our little kid purple or blue...Black Girl Sunscreen was perfect for our skin!
Black girl sunscreen is🔥🔥🔥 I'm dark-skinned and it doesn't give me a cast AT ALL and it's very moisturizing to my dry skin. Doesn't cause breakouts and it gives me a ✨️glow✨️. Yeah, go get that.
I’ve been using this sunscreen and i really like it but it made me break out 😩 my skin is so sensitive 😔
@@jordyyy9987 that sucks! I have sensitive skin as well, eczema to be exact but it doesn't bother me at all! Definitely a beach sunscreen for me.
As a very pale female who is allergic to Zinc in sunscreen, I am so grateful for the Asian sunscreens providing other options.

@@shanikacorb then don’t sit there and tan lol. There’s nothing natural about baking in the sun so obviously even with sunscreen you’re still causing harm. Blk Girl was the absolute first sunscreen I've worn consistently throughout the summer. Finally I don't look like a shiny ghost! I highly recommend it 👌🏾

My only concern is that the spf is only 30 and I've been under the impression that skin of color is better suited at spf 50.
Thank you! I swim too, really swim, not splash around, so a good sunscreen that does not sting my eyes under a mask is a must.
I put blue lizard sunscreen on my nephew every day before dropping him off to summer camp and I’ve noticed less freckles appearing this year. I just hope he’s reapplying at least once while he’s at camp.
👍
No, I just put some on my young daughters and it made their face dry and flaky. I didn't like it
This is what we give as samples in the allergy office I work in
My ultimate sunscreen recipe: 1 part SuperGoop Unseen sunscreen, 1 part SuperGoop Matte Screen, and 1 part CeraVe PM lotion.
I thought I was the only person that mixed the super matte with the unseen sunscreen 😂I wish I didn’t have to but I don’t like them on they’re own
Apparently some sunscreen ingredients don’t mix well
Thank you....
I’m so glad someone is finally starting to talk about skincare products for people with non-white skin! 🙌 Thank you guys!!
Beauty of Joseon is my absolute fave. Nice to see it made your list.

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is amazing and so is Round Lab, Dr. G and SNP
I just ordered the Joseon sunscreen. Keeping my fingers crossed that it works for me.

My staple sunscreens are:
Supergoop everyday play
Alastin Hydratint
Elta MD UV Elements tinted
Algenest Sublime Defense
Plla HOP + skin repair cushion (Korean compact)
Frezyderm Sunscreen(I use the "CLEAR" one, haven't tried the "TINTED" one).

My dream sunscreen:
- Physical/Mineral
- No white cast
- Non nanoparticles
- No fragrances
- SPF 45+
Add doesn’t sting eyes EVER to the list, plus the ability to easily wear eyeshadow and mascara on face without it smearing all over.
Super Goop is incredible ! Is a bit expensive ( in my opinion ) but it’s the only sunscreen it does all that and the only I LOVE wearing

Completely agree about not bothering with moisturiser under sunscreen - if you have a good one it should do what a moisturiser does so need for double bubble!
yes and you don't have to worry about pilling either
I was gonna get it but it’s not water resistant unfortunately
Ok.. but who else is freaking jealous of their skin? 😩😩 w
I double wash my face because if I have ANY sunscreen lingering around I notice I get little pimples on my face almost immediately!!
I heard by dr dray on UA-cam that double cleanse is the best for when you wear sunscreen cause a face wash alone won’t remove it all. Sunscreen is a bit stubborn to remove
i was wondering the same thing. i havent seen a satisfiying answer anywhere. looking forward for your answer guys!
I spend a lot of time gardening and sweating in the sun and my eyes have hated every sunscreen I’ve ever tried, except for Shiseido water resistant SPF 50. I just got it 2 months ago and I can’t imagine using anything else now.
Shiseido sunscreens are worth every penny!
I used Drmtlgy but there is barely any tint so I returned it 😩😩 Do you know of a different Korean tinted sunscreen with broad spectrum?
I find it to be very drying to the face.
I use the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid SPF50+ best sunscreen I've ever used 🤞🏽

Anti-aging sunscreens for the skin are good, but I have not found a satisfactory one, because they often cause shine, oiliness, not water resistance ..
Try the ISDIN. It is water resistant, not oily, not shiny.
That's where ISDIN earned it's place for me. But it certainly is $$$. Interestingly, it's actually cheaper if you buy it in person at a dermatologists office. Unfortunately, you have to find a derm that carries it too -DrM

My go to is elta md. I went to Aruba and came back the same shade of pale that I left. And the tinted sunscreen is amazing No foundation needed
Wouldn't that be great! I really don't reapply unless I'm outside and usually use a spray form
In my country we’re told to never buy sunscreens made in the US due to the poor regulation, efficiency and security on us sunscreens
That’s just the reason I stopped using USA sunscreens many many years ago, and I’m only 21! I can’t stand the white cast, greasiness, heaviness, and stinging.

My problem is even the sunscreens that are “recommended” by those in skin care seem bad for our skin……?

I have dry, eczema prone skin. The La Roche Posay Tolerian is my go to. I also like the Paula’s Choice Resist Skin Restoring Moisturizer.
This was a great video! I would also love more information on sunscreens that not only are effective for our skin but also don't hurt the environment.
Nothing matters more than SPF thank you for making a dedicated review of the best 👏🏼👏🏼
…Or the bunch of chemicals in it
Would you please do a review of DAILY sunscreens for body (not face)?
What kind of skin do u have? Have been looking for a tinted sunscreen for my face.
@@deborahgodley6980 combination, pretty sensitive, not prone to breakouts.
Paula’s Choice light weight daily wrinkle defense! SPF 30, zinc oxide, tinted, antioxidants, doesn’t clog pores, moisturizing… it’s everything
Double cleanse. You can use a cleansing oil or balm, then follow up with your favorite face wash. Same for foundation, and tinted moisturizers.
I agree, double cleansing is key. Occasionally I also use a sonic face brush.
My first cleanse is Clinique Take The Day Off followed by my cleansing gel.
A balm or an oil cleanser. Better agents for your face anyway.
You should do a review of Jack Black Oil Free Sun Guard SPF 45! It took me forever to discover after searching high & low for the perfect budget-friendly sunscreen. It has zinc oxide and is seriously magic in a bottle for my oily, darker toned skin.
Black Girl Sunscreen has a sunscreen with similar formulation to Supergoops called Make it Matte and it’s clear like Unseen.
I have to try the Make it Matte one have tried the others and the kids version I have been pleased with all their products so far.
Ive tried it and have very dark skin. Its pretty great. I should be wearing it more often than i do
@@cherylreitz4779 yeah, try the make it matte version!
@@giovanniroyalty2727 yup, wear your sunscreen daily!
I work at Chick-fil-A and work outside a ton. I actually love the Neutrogena one. I let the first layer sit for a while and then apply another. It actually dries down pretty well for me, as I’m already very fair. 😂
Isntree and Beauty of Joseon are my faves! And the price point makes reapplying burn less :P
I see what you did there -DrM nice pun
@ Kim Green
Are those mineral ss???
Yay! I get to try something else and actually wear it this time for dry sensitive skin w/o a white cast :)
I love that one too. I heard about it from Dr. Dray, it’s so good for dry skin. I love more moisturizing sunscreens.
Tried Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen and while it does go on pretty clear and thin, it made my face really dry. My skin began to shed. Went back to my original Bondi Face Sunscreen.
Will try some others.
