Try epilating. It's cheaper and has the hair stay away longer

The only time it hurts is when I put it directly on hair or if I'm doing the very back part of my leg, so to make it better I place it on a clear part of skin and go up and hold my skin. But I do have a higher pain tolerance. So it's something I would recommend if you either have a high pain tolerance or don't mind getting use to it, similar to how people get use to waxing. You can also use numbing creams or sprays.

@gailjj Maybe try using lotion instead of shaving cream. There is also this thing called cream shave that is supposedly better than shaving cream, but I can't personally say since I've never used it.
I do too. I use to shave my legs every so often and recently I've started epilating. Let me just say it is so much better and cheaper in the long run than shaving or waxing. It can feel like intense pinching when you first start but the more you use it the less it will hurt. I recommend shaving first and then waiting a bit for the hair to slightly grow back before using the epilator. Also, it will hurt less on your arms so start there first. It's hard to describe everything so it's best to look up UA-cam videos about it, if you're even interested in doing so.

The abrasives are supposed to be used for a period of time. My mom had thick leg hair and she used pumice stone everyday for months, just lightly scrubbing the skin(not peeling the skin like the girl did) and she doesn’t have leg hair anymore. It’s honestly the best and most harmless method but needs patience

She does have leg hair thou , and most of the time especially for methods like waxing or epilation they actually recommend you shave your legs first and let it grow for about a week and than start epilating .
If the hair is to long it might snap instead of being pulled out from the wax / tweezers .

I feel a huge relief after shaving my legs, I know it's a bad process, but for someone like me, who have dry sensitive skin and thick hair it's necessary. Once I tried to let them grow and I couldn't wear pants or high boots cause it felt like there w needles in my skin. Nope, never again. It hurts more to not shave, and my skin starts to look really bad.

The main problem with hair removal is not “which should I use”. The main problem is that as a global society we basically force women to not have body hair and have a really twisted idea that somehow body hair in women is gross. You SHOULD have the decision of wanting or not wanting to remove your body hair without any judgment.

The "cold" wax is actually how alot of people do sugaring. They roll it around in their finger tips, rub it onto the area that needs to be waxed, and rip it off. And even though there's hairs in the ball of wax, you can continue to use it until it doesn't catch anymore. Then you grab another ball.

Thankyou so much. I’m not into beauty as a female but I personally don’t like feeling hairy. I’ve only known about shaving through my mum but it’s causing me a lot of damage on sensitive areas. I’ll definitely give sugaring ago. I like how it’s a traditional method that uses natural ingredients and seems to give good results. I appreciate you showing all methods as well as to me it’s quite overwhelming to understand and I’m not one to go to a beauty salon.

honestly i loved shaving before but it always took me like 3 hours. now i use an epilator (and yes the pain does reduce) and i have a lot less hair now. ive been using it for a year and the hair takes about 2-3 weeks to grow like 1/4 of an inch but it depends on you

I am a trained beauty therapist and I just wanted to clear up the myth about hair growing back darker and thicker( 15:38 ). It is actually true but to an extent. It is only true for sensitive areas such as pubic, face, and underarm, but it will only happen after a long period of time after you begin hair removal. For example, if you had never removed underarm hair, and then you start to get it waxed every 6 weeks for a year then stop, you would notice the hair is darker, and more corse after not waxing anymore, but depending on your ethnicity, and genes not necessarily thicker. A lot of people get confused and mislead (my old self being one of them) about this as everyone says different things lmao. But this was an awesome video and it was so cool to see you try and display the different methods of hair removal and the results! 🥰

Having done shaving, waxing, epilating, shaver and IPL laser. (I was a sasquatch dude btw) What's worked best for me is Braun Silk Pro 5 IPL and the Panasonic Arc 5 shaver. It has four coils so it has good coverage. Literally takes me like 15 minutes to shave neck to toe in the shower with it. (use it with body wash and rinse it out really good)
The Silk Pro 5 has basically eliminated all hairs. I highly recommend it. You have to touch up every few weeks I guess. I've only used it maybe 6 times so far. Hopefully eventually I wont even need it anymore.
Great video thanks! I have an ipl and it took 45 minutes. I wasn’t consistent with it either. I have tried the crystal thing, shaving, and laser. I’m currently plucking right now. It doesn’t hurt and i can pluck the direction of my hair. I’m enjoying it so far. In the shower I don’t have glasses or contacts so i miss a lot shaving. I’m tired of shaving so willing to try something new. Hence plucking
This would be better if:
1. They would pick someone with darker leg hair because I can’t see anything.

wax strips are just it, no mess, no hours spent trying to catch all the hair.
If anyone here is experiencing razor burn after shaving your legs with cartridge razors, consider switching to a safety razor. They aren't as difficult as people make them seem and in my experience they both get a closer shave and leave my skin feeling less irritated. Just make sure to use a thick shaving cream or conditioner when using them so the blade can glide over the skin.

She didn't tweeze an entire section of her leg though, only some leftover hairs around the ankle area. She basically said that tweezing was a viable method to use in case some hair weren't properly removed.

I know someone that's in treatment for selfharm and her therapist told her to tweeze whenever she feels an anxiety-attack.
It's like her acceptable form of selfharm. It's supposed to replace cutting.
So..yeah, it's painful.
