@@GamingMushroomzzz Happy Birthday 🎉! Yesterday was my last chemo treatment so I'll be celebrating with this pack when it comes out, I'll be feeling like playing by then YAY!
Ashaife was originally part of the EA Creator Network and is now on The Sims team. She's a really good builder and I think she built lots for the new pack.
This would be too triggering to the vanilla sims players and we all know sims always has to water down the game to appease them. Guaranteed someone will complain “ this triggers me because I had a bad landlord” 🙄
I don't know, the world and the build/buy items look great, but my main issue is the same issue I have with most Sims 4 packs; they just don't feel like enough. My experience with The Sims 4 usually goes like this; I buy a new pack, a try it out, I have fun for a little while, but then after a few days I realize how little content there actually is, I compare it to how much money I just spent, and I feel just a little bit more resentful towards The Sims and EA.
It has become even more apparent to me after playing other games. An expansion pack costs 40 euros and it has hardly any content. Meanwhile I spent 60 euros on bg3 once and I have played 400 hours, playing every day for 2 months!
Unfortunately, most Sims players ONLY play The Sims 4 and have no interest in other genres, so they have no basis of comparison. Even if you manage to convince them that they're getting a bad deal, there just aren't any other comparable life sims (as far as I'm aware) to recommend to them instead. This is why I can't wait for games like Paralives, Life by You, etc. to come out. The Sims desperately needs the competition, for everyone's sake.@@Jabez0
The rent is paid weekly apparently, even if the lease is less than a week! James Turner (formerly known as The Sim Supply) had to wait the full seven days to get a big rent payment.
This is what I came here to say. James even said it in the beginning of his video iirc. So you're just paid a lump sum every week instead of the smaller amount each day.
In his video he said if you dont charge at least 50 you are losing money, maybe she didnt receive because she put 1$. Anyway why she is being so silly about the landloard stuff, she talk like its a sin to charge other people to live in a house LOL.
And sometimes colors for clothing pieces in CAS. I also wish they would have added more shoes to the game and handbags by now. The lux pack came with only one handbag. Instead of at least two. The base game still has none.
@@skywalker6648 the base game is really lacking in items and swatches for sure, they should go back and do another swatch update but for cas items. more sdx drops for other cas items would be a smart idea as well
I'd just keep spraying it with bleach until either the mold went away & didn't come back, or until the landlord actually did something about it lmao@@shalynping
That's what I thought of when I saw the 99 apartment layout. Though I still think it is weird having a loading screen between them. Would be better if it was just hidden until you knock on the door or something.
@@Mandinhapink100How would it? It'd be the exact same thing as living on that lot anyway. In fact, if it was just hidden until you knock on the door it'd be the same thing as it is currently.
@@clearlynotchloe i mean it’s a life simulator though. just like if you don’t pay your bills they cut your power off. i think there’s many real life aspects to this game it’s just odd that this aspect is too much for people
That's disappointing. With all the emphasis on secrets and snooping, I was hoping for a really great world, like Cottage Living, with lots of new odd characters that are telling you about each other, maybe sending you on weird tasks, exposing the history of the town, etc.
@@jaylynnmclean4424 Because of the shared communal space. You can assign an area that's for everybody to use & put things like the foozball table there and a TV and a microwave but they won't use it all. NPC's are notoriously bad at taking care of themselves.
I'm usually quite positive about sims packs, but this one does feel quite empty to me... the main selling point is building units which you can do anyway just now they're officially separate buildings, and it doesn't feel like there's much other gameplay with it outside of rabbit holes and loading screens and another empty world. For 40 quid I feel like they could at least add NPC burglars and actual consequences for breaking in
I feel like the main selling point of this pack is the community the sims can have with each other as close neighbors. I don't think it's an empty pack at all, since you can combine different types of sims into one lot together without having to worry about the 8 sim cap. That also adds to more sims in the world , which means more sims on different lots and making it seem more full :D Unfortunately it does mean more loading screens but, I can't really say I didn't expect it :T
@@someonerandom1198Get together, city living, eco lifestyle, island living and growing together also have individual features that promote communities and community gatherings. That’s not new to the game.
@@someonerandom1198 yeah I also love the idea of this but again the loading screens just ruin it, I feel like it's not really different to having roommates and locking your house's door and I'm guessing the other tenants will act the same way as roommates do (that being dancing to a stereo 24/7 or cooking if there's those in the communal spaces lol)
@@someonerandom1198 and if you wanna visit the other tenants in their apartment it works the same as having to travel to another lot with the loading screens
I’m just here for the cas stuff and I’ll def use the pack I’m on gen 10 of my legacy challenge so these clothes and hairs will be a nice touch plus it’s the end of a legacy so why not end it with a new pack!! Their last name is Bottomz so It feels like if the pack is a flop it’d be perfect
This looks fun! But still gutted they allow you to “break in” and yet they didn’t add burglars 😭 This would have been a great pack to add a classic sims franchise feature!
Supposedly they wont because nothing bad happens in sims 4 it's perfect. They pretty much gave the option to pretend your sim is a burglar. Definitely tired of the doll house game play. I want a life sim back
That's exactly it! The adrenaline rush as soon as the burglar music starts and you realise you forgot to add a burglar alarm to your build! I so miss that 😭🤣
i think i’ll definitely enjoy this pack, but im kinda disappointed. given some of the sims 4’s best packs like seasons or cats & dogs, it feels like they’ve really scaled down what they put into newer expansions. it’s a shame with the world too because it’s so beautiful but so limited. i would have been okay with them calling this a game pack and leaving out the world if it meant they would save it for an expansion where it can really be brought to life :(
My favorite packs ever are Cottage Living and Werewolves, and this is disappointing in comparison. With all the focus on secrets, I thought it would a nice big gossipy world, but this sounds meh.
@@ninjakiwigames5418absolutely. the ea higher ups have become so insanely greedy and i stopped paying for packs a long time ago. i’m sure it especially sucks for the developers who really care about the game but are limited by the quantity > quality mindset
Same here. The rental feature is something we wanted for a while but that alone doesn’t justify an expansion pack. If it was a gamepack like dine out I’d be all for it but this? Expect for the new lot trait their isn’t much new gameplay. I really miss the days of the sims 3 where an expansion pack would really bring a massive amount of content into the game. I feel like I used to play the sims for days and now I quickly go build something maybe play for 20 minutes then I get bored.
EA is so so shady for creating packs with features everybody wanted for so long, only to make everything else lackluster. All expansion packs this year were dissapointing gameplay and world wise. This is not worth 40$, it should be a game pack. This is a insane cashgrab, but it works for them, because people want this feature so badly.
Now we need a base game update called Duo lots where you can build a restaurant/cafe/bar/store type lot with a residential lot over it or attached to it. And clever combine two different types of retail lots to one lot so you can make your own plaza malls and have each unit be privately owned or owned by a retail company/landlord.
@@keiraw7717 its not what you say, it's how you say it. The devs are people too! It was sad to see people being so harsh and disrespectful to those just doing their job to try and make the fans happy. you can't please everyone, but you can always be nice. :)
@@lilsusievertfr, devs always get the bad end of things in video games even if the problem is management and higher ups (especially on a billion dollar company like ea)
17:58 Windenburg: Guys, I can explain Tomarang: How can you have 27 lots and I have only 9 lots? Magnolia Promenade: 9 lots? I have only 4 lots Seasons Expansion Pack: You guys have lot? 22:12 thats the answer why the world isn't look like South East Asian at all
You keep mentioning keeping your sims parents as a tenant on your lot, but I think it almost makes more sense (especially in a legacy setting) to start out as a tenant in the previous generation's house. That could be a really neat way to neatly separate household funds while saving up for their own place before they started on making the next generation
I have mixed feelings about this one. I like the CAS and the new lot type but that's kind of it, for me at least. I understand the loading screen for larger lots with tons of units but if you're renting out a single room on a tiny lot... yeah, no. I think it should be an option you can toggle on/off based on how your computer handles the game.
They really need to start selling the exact rugs they have in the game. And whatever other small items or furniture. I think that would be hilarious. Inviting people over who you know have played the game before, and they just look really confused because they feel like they've seen that painting before...
I was watching the Sims’s live video before Kayla’s and I heard a few things to add. One was that if you have seasons, they were saying that the air conditioners that are in the new pack, there are two different versions. One that is just decoration, and one that is functional, the same with the water heaters. The second thing is that Kayla had pointed out the kettles did coffee, tea, and hot cocoa, but in the live Sims vid, they had mentioned that they added into the base game that you could now boil water in the microwave. I think that is all I heard. I’m so excited for this pack to come out, especially to make apartments and trailer parks!
The functional vs non-functional thing doesn't require seasons (she even said it was included in her version which is just the base game and For Rent and they showed both versions in the livestream). They have gameplay through For Rent and then they have *additional* game play if you own seasons and choose to use the functional ones.
@@funkehfunkeh one of the methods to do this is to put a toothpick or some sort of wooden stick in the water that acts as a pathway for air to escape. So, while its a little more precarious, it is possible to prevent it from superheating
i am beyond overjoyed for south-east asian simmers for getting their culture represented, and this is also HUGE for me as eastern european bc everyone here lives in blocks!! i hated making my sims live in huge suburban houses since this is very uncommon here, im so so so happy I'll finally be able to make my sims live in a place familiar to me :)
Yeh bit ironic how it’s a for rent pack and as a south east Asian , rented accommodation isn’t really a big thing here , people prefer having their owned properties 😂
I'm not southeast Asian. But I am familiar with some of the Filipino dishes like pancit and cool to see it in the game along with Pad Thai. I also suggested adding a rice cooker or pressure cooker a long time ago and they are just now adding it, lol.
Southeast Asian here! In my country (Indonesia) rented accommodation IS a thing, although maybe not too big, but it's pretty common when it comes to students moving to another city (sort of like apartment/flats, which we call 'Kos-kosan'). Apartments tend to be slightly pricey for students, so kos-kosan is like the cheaper version of it. Young adults in their 20s also live in kos-kosan as well while they work away from home, but they'd move into a house after they get married. All in all, as a SEA I'm actually very ecstatic to see this kind of representation, especially in terms of Build Mode and CAS items!
I wonder if the massive open spaces and few lots with multiple rabbit holes is due to them pumping out expansion pack after expansion pack. I'm only 19 so in the younger years of sims time might've felt different but it seemed like we'd have to wait at least a year if not more to get a new expansion pack and now they've released three in one year. I think that reflects on the quality of the packs regarding gameplay and things like that. As the sims has gotten older, the amount of build stuff has improved and general gameplay features but it seems that their world creation has declined a bit. Or something along those lines
They did. I am 35 and been simming since I was 11. ExpansionPacks were a big deal because they took a while to develop but they packed so much into it. Plus it gave time to build up hype.
I wish they would’ve at LEAST given us rabbithole tigers that we could interact with like the cows in cottage living or something 😭 like why would they specifically mention it all the time if they didn’t even have anything tigery in the game accept for a plushie
You can have university students renting rooms from houses near university! Or have a young adult sim renting a granny flat from there parents while they save up for their own place. Or have a bunch of friends living on a lot with their own tiny houses!
This would be so cool!! I'm Southeast Asian and most of the dorms in my country don't allow cooking in stoves, but they do allow rice cookers, which can also be used for steaming food and reheating food
I just wish there were more lots. I wanted that downtown area to feel full and bustling - but if I want to add a bar, a restaurant, a yoga studio... I'll have to delete half the apartments :( also don't expansion packs normally have three neighborhoods?
They do usually have three, but given that we're getting the rentals which is a brand new tool that can be used anywhere it was a given the world was going to be smaller. Frankly given the amount of gameplay I think we're pretty lucky to have gotten a new world at all.
@@jaybee4288 Not really lol I'm glad some of y'all don't get to pick what's an EP or what's enough for an EP cuz the Sims series would've died a LOOOONG time ago
I do wished they added was the ability to run residential businesses. I know technically there's a mod to help with it, but it just makes so much sense that way. Since shophouses are pretty common in asia. It would be nice if they added maybe "bird/butterfly sanctuary" or "crocodile swamps" to discover but it is good that the world is a lot more interactive than expected. Glad that there's a night market. It does seem to be a populating issue to make them more lively.
Yes I was hoping residential businesses would be available through this :( they don’t update or refresh expansions with big features like ever but I hope they add this in the future.
I don't see why one couldn't just add the Home Chef Hustle sales table to the ground floor, living area above, and make that all one apartment. They can run a pizza shop out of their place, while someone sells art or seltzer/kombucha from their ground floor "shop" next door? Would that work? I know it's not official, but wouldn't that work? Or run a yoga studio, and live upstairs? I've had a Sim hold classes in their yard before, one after another. I'm going to try it when the pack comes out. I built an apartment building next door to the library in Willow Creek. 🤞
The thing I would love to see from sims is allowing played rooms to have slanted ceilings, so we can have fun with maximizing space and making more realistic builds (I personally would be recreating houses off of zillow)
Marbles are usually supposed to be for kids, but not the toddlers or under that age, so it makes sense to me. Some teens like me when I was that age played marbles though, so I don't know why they wouldn't allow it to be for teens as well.
My dad played marbles with us. Like he didn’t really play on his own, but I actually can only remember 1 time where my sibling and I played where he didn’t join us. Inter generational gameplay is something that has been seriously lacking - and they did add a few things with Growing Together- but this feels like such an easy place to add it by allowing adults to play marbles with the kids in their family.
@@skyechimes658 They probably didn’t, because to my recollection, kids I knew that also played marbles only played them with other kids, so that makes sense to me. But I grew up in a dinky small town where nearly everyone knew each other, so it might be different in other places in the world.
It should probably be made for children, teens and adults/elders who have the Childish trait. I'd love to see like a grandma who's young at heart teaching the kids how to play, it would be so cute!
i feel like they'd butcher australia anyway and make it very stereotyped - i'd rather have the asian themed, american, european inspired and island worlds than an aussie world. @@khg675bt
I feel the intense urge to create a cringe grandpa! So now I'm obsessing about that. I agree that the world is smaller than I thought it would be, but I think the ability to create apartments, townhouses, etc. will definitely make up for it. I'm excited!
Something I'd love to see from you is a short series where you build apartments/duplexes/townhouses/etc. for EVERY world. The trailer where they built them in San Sequoia, Britechester and Del Sol Valley ignited a spark in my imagination, and I know you'd knock it out of the park
I love how you made the review, informed and not afraid to tell what "wrong" with it, and cover most of the aspects of the pack and not just the gameplay :)
I already pre-ordered the pack and and still really excited about it, but I did spend a few days this week builing a Sulani Neighborhood that is unusable now 🤦🏼♀️🙃 i built it on the 40×30 island by itself by the volcano and waterfall. Ill have to place it on a land lot and tweak it and re-upload it to the gallery.
Kayla's pack reviews are the only ones I trust. She gives criticism when its due instead of just gushing about how "great" everything is. I most excited about - 1) Multigenerational living within one lot. This will pair well with the Growing Together pack. 2) Being able to rent lots/locations that aren't just in the city or just apartments. I've tried many times to enjoy my Sims living in San Myshuno but I just hate the limits of living in the city apartments.
as a Thai person, the new build mode stuff and food recipes are amazing. It stays true to the culture and looks gorgeous to play. I’m also surprised they keep many of the food names as romanji.
My guess is that you can’t build on the beachfront due to entrances? Like being out on the water has a limited entrance point (the beach) so it might be so that the sim can definitely access their space
yep the beachfront world/lots can be really buggy. Like I played on the deserted island on the island world (the smaller one whit water front on thev volcano island). and post/garbage sometime just don't arrive. and I have not even built a house there. just a container in the middle, some potted plants and a tent.
Kayla, the “EA built lots in this because residential rentals weren’t ready” excuse doesn’t work. They could have asked other creators to build using the regular residential, besides EA even told us it’s easy to convert lots to the new lot type. So I don’t think that excuse sounds reasonable.
@@Relevart9169 As an Asian whenever someone mentions this about Snowy Escape it pisses me off. I do *not* care who built the builds for Snowy Escape. In fact, it's actually more "racist" to gatekeep who is allowed to build specific build styles.
yeah that was never why they hired creators to build lots, they do it because it's great marketing, it's an added value thing it has never been intrinsic to their development
I would love a senior living game pack. Especially now with for rent, there could be a senior homes!!! But we definitely need more activities just for seniors. There’s so much, Bingo (or other cultural games In that genre), puzzles, etc, and more traits like “reminiscer” “Injury prone” “bad memory/good memory” etc. seems fun
Kinda disappointing about the loading screens, but I’ve been wanting to do mostly shared spaces anyway, so it shouldn’t be bad. I’ve built a 6 bedroom university dorm where each person just has their bedroom to themselves, and the kitchen, living spaces, gym, and all the bathrooms are shared spaces, so it should work well. Let the chaos begin! XD
It won’t work that well to be honest. As a landlord one of the things that raises the unit quality is the size of the unit. Also sims won’t come out of a room any more than they’d come out of a house. The game seems to assume when you’re not playing them that all their needs are being taken care of even if you didn’t give them much.
There may not be. Since she didn't really talk too much about details it's possible she just wasn't waiting long enough. It took James from Sunday to the following Tuesday to get rent from the Sims. It comes once a week, not when the lease is up like it seems she thought.
I just can't see this as anything other than a half-baked cashgrab, I'm afraid. This honestly seems like a Game Pack to me. The only reason I would ever consider buying the pack would be if/when modders figure out how to make a functional hotel work with it. If they're giving us the ability to define specific units/areas for different sims to reside in, this would have made farm more sense as a hotel/resorts pack (considering the new world as well) enabling multi-venues - like the ability for a resort lot to have residential areas, a functional spa, restaurant etc. Given that hotels are such a wished-for thing in the Sims 4, I can completely imagine a world where they developed this system for this expansion pack, but would make a hotels game pack separately for no reason other than to squeeze more money out of doing one thing. Sort of how like how Cottage Living and Horse Ranch should have been one pack to begin with. Would go much further to justify the pricepoint.
Jamaican culture and decor is so close to south east Asia and I didn't even realize it even though my mom is part south east 😂. I can't wait to make my actually life growing up with this pack because everyone the build doors, tiles the marbles and the clothes are so similar to what I grew up with 🥰
I'm with you. Totally going to get the most use out of this pack having extended family on the same lot. I've been hoping there would eventually be a way where I could have multiple houses on a large lot that share a big open back yard for adult kids, parents, in-laws, and siblings to live and grow on a single lot with my sim(s)!
I wish they add option for having second name cause Thai names are usualy really long with deeper meaning. Nicknames are huge part of their culture so it will be nice to see that!
Mixed feelings on this. I really like to play in the Eco Lifestyle world, and I think these features will fit really well there. I wish we had had fewer, better developed new worlds. Growing Together could have been a game pack with no new world
It makes me sad that EA made the builds. During the livestream the decorations of the houses were so simple and base game like, but it make sense since they build it. It's a shame! :(
As usual, I recommend staying away for a month or so before buying any pack that has or should have , more gameplay features, cuse EA always releases broken pack and for a ridiculous price. Let's hope that they will release a patch in a month or so and then I'll consider buying it.And don't trust the reviews that are clearly biased, like this one. I usually like her but let's be real, she is getting paid so of course she will recommend this broke a** pack
lilsimsie is on the ea payroll. She’ll always say she doesn’t want you to waste money but she’ll also say how good the pack is and ignore the bugs and the shallow gameplay.

changed my mind about this pack. obsessed with it now. thank god i can opt out of being a landlord and THRILLED i can revolt against them. i'm going to cause mayhem
I think the way they executed the pack could be much, much better (especially the same-lot loading screen could be like a mosaic loading screen instead of completely opaque one), but overall this is genuinely the first pack that i don't feel ripped off.
Unfortunately I don’t think they could have executed rentals much better considering the foundational code of the Sims 4 is deeply flawed. And they do have to cater towards their players with lower end computers which is justifiable. I definitely think however the world, and the CAS could be improved. I’m not sure if the beachfront and penthouse restrictions would be performance nightmares or what but if they’re not I hope they give them to us at some point! Overall though for what the Sims 4 is I’m betting this pack will be pretty solid, definitely gonna buy it near release.
@@aaronymous9 The excuse of players having low-end computers for The Sims 4 is worn out at this point. It's been almost a decade since this game came out. thank you so much for your work kayla. honestly i could never tell what comes in the pack by myself id probably never find the items on the gameplay so thank you for displaying!
I dont think that the small world Is an issue. It Is basically like seasons, we get a huge edit capability to ALL the worlds, not only the new one, so I see this new one as an extra, not as a downside due to dimensions.
I feel the same. Frankly we're lucky to have gotten a world at all. This adds tons of new gameplay just like Seasons and that's where the big focus was.
Seasons affects the entire world and your gaming experience with the weather changes, this will only change your gaming experience if you choose to live in one of these residential apartments. it’s not the same and doesn’t add the same amount of gameplay features as Seasons unfortunately.

Yep! 💯💯💯
At this point I'm just holding out for sims 5😭

Simsie said in her stream that she tried everything without putting it in the video. Waiting, making the rent higher etc so it was probably a glitch

That also adds to more sims in the world , which means more sims on different lots and making it seem more full :D

i think i’ll definitely enjoy this pack, but im kinda disappointed. given some of the sims 4’s best packs like seasons or cats & dogs, it feels like they’ve really scaled down what they put into newer expansions. it’s a shame with the world too because it’s so beautiful but so limited. i would have been okay with them calling this a game pack and leaving out the world if it meant they would save it for an expansion where it can really be brought to life :(

Hello, I’m just curious because I’ve been thinking about what pack I want next, what makes you enjoy cats and Dogs so much?
EA is so so shady for creating packs with features everybody wanted for so long, only to make everything else lackluster. All expansion packs this year were dissapointing gameplay and world wise. This is not worth 40$, it should be a game pack. This is a insane cashgrab, but it works for them, because people want this feature so badly.
It's also lacking bigger lots and more of them for the kind of money they are charging for these expansion packs.

I love seeing comments like this representation is so important
Or something along those lines
im 19 as well and i feel like they actually took their time with packs in the early years

Kayla, the “EA built lots in this because residential rentals weren’t ready” excuse doesn’t work. They could have asked other creators to build using the regular residential, besides EA even told us it’s easy to convert lots to the new lot type. So I don’t think that excuse sounds reasonable.

XD
I… I never thought of doing it like that 👀
It won’t work that well to be honest. As a landlord one of the things that raises the unit quality is the size of the unit. Also sims won’t come out of a room any more than they’d come out of a house. The game seems to assume when you’re not playing them that all their needs are being taken care of even if you didn’t give them much.
It is so funny and so in-line with the Sims current landscape that there's a rent bug in the pack about rent 😂
There may not be. Since she didn't really talk too much about details it's possible she just wasn't waiting long enough. It took James from Sunday to the following Tuesday to get rent from the Sims. It comes once a week, not when the lease is up like it seems she thought.
@@moonlitxangel5771 I just finished her latest video and you're right, you have to wait a while longer.

Growing Together could have been a game pack with no new world
the loading screen is a big deal breaker for me, having a loading screen through the same lot is wild to me
exactly like what’s the point😂 if i have to travel it’s no point of having them on the same lot
It makes me sad that EA made the builds. During the livestream the decorations of the houses were so simple and base game like, but it make sense since they build it. It's a shame! :(
Honestly there are SO many bugs in this pack 😢 I’m bummed so many UA-camrs recommended it. My game is completely broken now.
As someone who lives in a camper, the mold upkeep is very realistic lol. If you make a trailer park, I highly recommend that lot trait for realism
I have wanted to make a trailer park for years!! I'm a southerner and it just feels like a realistic community!
Isn't that a ventilation issue? I've watched some van conversion videos and owners sometimes discuss how to prevent this.
@@skywalker6648 yeah that's a big part of it. I have a few dehumidifiers going at all times. I also live in a very wet place and it's constantly raining. Frankly, this camper wasn't made to be lived in full-time and we knew that when we bought it lol
@@Hatsoonmeek Oh, I see. I can imagine a dehumidifier is a good idea. Btw, bet you're saving a lot of money with the camper as rent in a real-life apartment rental can be out of hand in most places these days.
@@skywalker6648 oh hell yeah I did the math a few months ago. I've saved like 22 grand in rent
Honestly as a British Simmer I've wanted a kettle for years. The rice cooker is incredible and I've been using the popcorn maker in build bode to try and represent it haha! I agree on the representation- squat toilets and sitting on the floor I've wanted since sims 2. I want a vegan trait so badly. I want to exist in the sims!
Well this seems a lot more enthusiastic than the ‘live’ stream 🎉
I genuinely hope EA sees this. You have given a beautiful overview with respective criticisms and a genuinely good showcase. Well done! ❤
Question; I also would use this pack to include family and friends on the same lot. If you make a sim a tenant in your lot, how often do you see them in the shared spaces? Is it as often as you would see them if they were in your household? Thanks!
omg the ad came in at the perfect time! she was mid sentence about breaking into the landgrabs house and she goes, "Im in-" and the add cuts in with a cat excitedly saying "friskieland!" I died
I am very excited to combine this with the groups from get together and make a cult and/or hippie commune😂
I love that the lot doesn't just turn black like in city living where it is just black. I am going to make a slumlord apartment with adding in the mouse hole and creepy crawlers lot challenge. - for some reason whenever I make a new sim I build up ones handiness skills and the other cooking skills immediately.
Ah I was about to ask - I am probably not i the majority that only plays male sims so I am always dissapointed - so I should have guessed there wouldn't be much to add to my sims. Still waiting for the goth stuff pack thingy
Also! glad they have more radiators and stuff!
the loading screens on your OWN lot 😭 absolutely not
This pack could have been just an update (like Spa-Day) for City-Living...
this could’ve been added to city living or just a game pack
Hearing “they said it isn’t the final software” automatically makes me think of the debacle that was/is wedding stories 😅
They wake up sad or embarrassed every single day? Relatable.
We're all just children of the village. The village of sadness and embarrassment. 🥲❤️
@@crispymojo8751 we are our own little village of sad embarrassed simmers
changed my mind about this pack. obsessed with it now. thank god i can opt out of being a landlord and THRILLED i can revolt against them. i'm going to cause mayhem
People have had well over an ordinary amount of time to get better-performing computers. I'm tired of this being used as a blanket excuse for EA's greed and scuminess. We're literally on the same lot...units on the same lot shouldn't have any loading screens at all.
@@jacobsteele9825realistically the problem is console versions of the game. The Xbox One and Playstation 4 are older than the Sims 4 and have notable problems running the game yet they still insist on keeping up with those versions (which is also likely why the game wasn't released on switch)
Not a dig at console players btw, I wish EA would treat them with respect
@jacobsteele9825 kayla has a beefed up computer no doubt and she said the game struggled over 6 lots because its not designed to be like that. Y'all need to come to grips with reality and get over it, yeah loading screens sucks but it's not new. There's plently of people out there that play sims on laptops with many packs and cc, this pack would be pushing its limits.
Lol, it's kinda funny cuz you wrote a typo and now it reads as "I don't feel ripped off", which wouldn't make any sense, unless this is the first pack you're buying and have no point of reference ofc
On representation; I really really want a disability pack. I want wheelchairs, canes, service dogs. I want the true ability to make myself and all that I am
This also has build mode applications;
Ramps and accessibility options, and make things a bit more realistic as well!
I wish you have a restaurant or store as one of the units! Especially if you have the restaurant kit/pack. Lots of communities around the world have apartments above shops and restaurants. It would make it so much livelier !
pretty sure there is a mod for this
i will continue to dream of the day my sim can live above their own little bakery 🥲🥲
The live isn’t over and I left a soon as I got the notification. 😂
Love you girl! ❤😊
The live wasn’t over when I left too😂😂😂
I went straight from the livestream and I truly can’t wait
As I was watching this I got the incredible news that my auntie that has struggled for years to get pregnant is now pregnant. Words cannot explain how happy I am for her.
Keeping my fingers crossed for a successful and healthy pregnancy!! Good luck to your aunt!!!
@@Acquaintance6336 thank you so much
Congrats!!!
The flooring in this pack is literally a dream all of those tiles omg I cant wait to play with it!!!
thank you so much for your work kayla. honestly i could never tell what comes in the pack by myself id probably never find the items on the gameplay so thank you for displaying!
I literally finished a Sulani Residential Rental today, and then watched the livestream. Crushed.
Seasons affects the entire world and your gaming experience with the weather changes, this will only change your gaming experience if you choose to live in one of these residential apartments. it’s not the same and doesn’t add the same amount of gameplay features as Seasons unfortunately.
why was the kettle and pressure cooker not in home chef hustle?
I am most excited for the family gameplay! Being able to have all the extended family on one lot is so exciting! Time to play the Not so Berry challenge again!
I personally LOVE the thai cas, bb, everything. I knew nothing about thai architecture and design and now im obsessed
i loove that this pack is east-asian inspired! I love mixing styles and colors and patterns and I do think this pack has some nice unique things! I am so exited to build tiny apartments in ONE lot ❤❤🥰🥰
Damn. How can EA justify asking people for so much money for a half-baked pack like this. This is devastating for simmers.
So glad you got early access!! Yes the world is beautiful, but was definitely expecting more lots. I know you’re so excited to make townhouses especially with your not so berry and UA-cam let’s play!!! I’m excited!
I am a big fan of sims, and the problem is how expensive the packs are. One expansion pack costs 209$ here in Brazil, so im very picky about the few packs i can buy. For Rent seems fun, but it'll take a good while for me to buy it.
I'm hoping for cheats to turn off tenant complaints so I can have ALL the family members living on one massive family compound for my legacy challenge. Really looking forward to this pack and appreciate the review!
