I feel the overwhelm of streams sometimes too! Not just lilsimsie in particular, just in general. I have dyslexia so I can’t read chat fast enough to keep up with anything and feel kinda lost.

Summary of what I learned during the build section:
DO NOT put everything into the separate units until the very end. It will save you a lot of problems lol
In terms of the rent thing, I do think it could be a bug cuz James didn't get his till Tuesday but maybe it's just the way it's set up. Like you don't get it till after that grace period where you can evict people (which is a weird choice but whatever) so maybe that could explain what happened with James?
It's also possible that all the switching between households confused it. But you clearly got paid for all of the days since you said it had nearly been two weeks and rent was about 1,000 per day and you got about 11,000. So 11 days worth.

@@deidra763 Fairly sure it was Tuesday but it could've been Wednesday. Regardless, he did get it eventually lol And so did she in another video about For Rent. That almost two hour long one towards the end it jumped to week 2 at the end of the week and she ended up getting a little over 11,000 in rent. Which makes sense since her daily rent for all the units was 1,000.
But yeah, if it's a bug and not user error, hopefully it's not there in the full release. But at least if it is you will eventually get paid.
I've never played this but the popup for rent DOES say it doesn't include tenants who are overdue. I haven't seen anyone check if that's it but in case someone else rolls along who is also experiencing this, maybe that's it. 🤔
Pro tip for when you’re building with the For Rent pack:
Decorate everything first and then mark them as separate units last, so you won’t have to sit through the loading screens.

They really need to add some more hijab options and colours and hijabi-friendly clothes!
I think having a top that’s like the leggings and can go under any other outfit would be a good step to allow people to convert all sorts of outfits to their preferred level of modesty.
Edit: Hijabs should also definitely stay for work outfits! You shouldn’t need to use cheats to give hijabi sims appropriate work wear for them!

@@SageArdorAnd tbh they need to let both (and glasses) by default stay on for all outfits. It's ridiculous to me that if I want to give my sim glasses for vision you have to manually add to each outfit, not remove from ones that aren't applicable, and I believe when I last used hearing aids they needed added per outfit too
@@peartreeLeaving if you have mcc you can copy paste outfit and accessories so you can use it on your sims.. I know how annoying it is to keep all the makeup and accessories you want on your sims for all the outfits
I know they made marbles exclusive for kids, but I think it could be cool if they opened it to elders as well and the kids could only play if they learned it from an elder. At the very least I’d like to see a grandparent and their grandchild playing together.
Yes! It always irks me when kids can't do an activity. It really irks me when that activity is off limits to all ages. So many things families and siblings can't do together :/

I feel like the aspirations being a lifetime goal is maybe just what we're used to because of sims 3. The original aspirations are long, but also have more meaningful traits, the shorter ones can pair nicely with those longer ones if you alternate
Totally agree! I don’t think Sims 4 has ever said that the aspirations are meant to be lifetime achievements, that’s just a holdover from past games. I like that better anyway. Throughout my life I’ve had many aspirations, some of which I’ve achieved and then moved on from. I like that Sims can have different seasons of life through their aspirations.
I also like, as you mention, doing a couple aspirations at once!

Min’s parents are thankfully not dead. They both tasted the cowplant’s cake, had a weird reaction, and felt compelled to be a cowplant. They now live in an unknown location of a wild cowplant colony, being part of the secret cowplant lifestyle.

It's so impressively perfect that when you started playing a landlord you immediately started making unethical decisions. Got so much into the landlord mindset.

the lack of modest clothing that are hijabi-proof has been suchhh a struggle, like cc is pretty much indispensable if you want a wide variety of hijabi-proof outfits
fr if you just use sims clothing you’ll always end up using the same clothes 😭 i made a muslim family in the sims who had twin girls and then another girl later, i was STRUGGLING to make their clothes show their different personalities
I love this style of video it's still edited so there isn't too long of waiting screens and whatnot. I hope you do some more videos with this type of style. It would be a nice little treat like once a week or something. I hate how short form videos have become on youtube. THANK YOU KAYLA

Ik it would probably get repetitive but maybe something like that so she could take her “time” so to speak and not have it necessarily be a speed run. Or maybe have it a series of Stanley competing random rabbit hole quests or something similar. Idk just some random ideas lol

I really like this format! The minimal editing made this a more realistic play session with all the loading screens, annoying sims 4 quirks, etc. I’d love another video like this!

I like that you didn't cut out your trouble-shooting process like when you had to cheat the money up on an empty lot because it helps newer players who will come up against things like that when they play. It's easy for you to know what to do to fix these things, but they aren't obvious to me, so I appreciate you showing it!

kayla i really hope you address or maybe clean these comments up a bit more. i thoroughly enjoyed this video and your thoughts but there seems to be very many closeminded people very focused on zara and one person saying randomly about min "ofc the trans sim is an evil thief." these comments are so gross, accusatory, not helpful, nor is it relevant to the actual game/video itself. simsie is always making diverse characters with crazy and weird backgrounds. anytime simsie makes a diverse sim with any type of "bad" trait, you chalk it up to simsie being prejudice. simsie also made zara a lesbian that wear a hijab because guess what.. you can be lgbt and muslim. just like how you can be christian and lgbt, its not the end of the world. keep your own personal issues aside, its not your video or sims save. maybe you all should take a look within asking why you would put this onto another person you don't truly know and not get all bent into shape over what one person does in their own sims game that they paid for.

At 18:04 The layout in the room was very accurate to houses here in Latinamerica (the door goes straight to the living room). So don't worry!! Is a perfect layout

I think the animation is slightly different from the werewolf one, but you do need to squat using that kind of toilett

I wonder if, when building an apartment new (rather than renovating), it would be a good idea to wait to do the apartment divisions after the building was finished (so that you didn't have to go through the loading screens)

i really enjoyed this format of video! it was nice to not have to deal with twitch or have to watch multiple videos like while folding laundry or cleaning up. I hope this style of video isn't super labor intensive for you as far as recording and editing because i really like it and is a lot of fun and I would like to see more of it in the future if it is possible

The wallpaper tool could be lacking because you divided the house to three different units. If you paint the walls before dividing, it should solve the problem. 😊
