The no shoe thing has to be a mistake, right? They were meticulous about her socks and tights and somehow forgot her shoes. It's giving no toilets and stairs to nothing.
It's very clearly on purpose IMO. She's supposed to be immature and annoying, her refusing to wear shoes is something a kid would do. It's a fun bit of characterisation from the Sims team.

@@noway3128 The thing is that the shoes are only on the hot weather outfit, but on none of the other outfits. That makes me think it's an oversight of some kind because why would it be on one outfit but not any of the others?
@ariannebrodeur Just because she's a young adult doesn't mean she automatically grew out of bad habits. As for the shoes in hot weather, @Jayk-kz7sh, it makes sense. I take it to mean that she learned a lesson the hard way about being barefoot in the summer. Maybe she burned her feet when she was a kid, and that's the only reason why she bothered with shoes for that outfit and none of the others.
i wish we actually had an in game system for divided inheritances and could assign items as wills like they did with the books, i like it for the scenario but i wish we could use it outside of it too
Closest thing would be putting whatever items you want passed down in the elder box from Growing Together. And I guess hypothetically, you could use the Friendly give simoleons as their inheritance (?). But yeah, being able to divide at least the house value among children would be nice.
I would love to see you play more of the scenarios I also think using them as townies would be so much fun as well as starting a legacy based off these sims
oh my god everything reminds me of my old cat. Snap is not my cat but I cry about them. Deliha was very vocal in her old age also, yowling around the house holding socks as trophies from her successful hunts.
The scenarios remind me of the Sims (1) where whenever you wanted to start a new game you had to play as this blonde guy who’s face looked like a mackerel and his mother was like “don’t come to my house, you’re too old to live with me” and you had a card table as a dining room, the garbage TV, and a crappy fridge and bed and you had to find a job (in the newspaper) and upgrade your house to move on in the game.
AH! i can't believe the coincidence of you playing this scenario!! i LITERALLY started this scenario a couple weeks ago and have been playing it (and some side stories around it) ever since! 🤣.... my version went MUCH different than yours tho lol. for anyone interested: i had them in the big house in the upper right corner of glimmerbrook. and let all the kids kinda do their own thing. i got them all jobs: Ava-lawyer (she was VERY strict about her regimen), Eddie- Tech Guru(had him do college first tho), Lila- musician, tho she took a different route than the other two and was kinda a leaf in the wind for awhile. i had her just hanging out, sleeping in, partying alot, bringing random dudes home, and doing freelance stuff with her music. Ava was the biggest jerk for the longest, tho she mended her relationships with eddie, then gram. she and lila just couldn't get alone.. eddie just wanted everything to go away, he made up with gram the earliest, and then with lila but hated Ava for a long time, and lila just tried to stay gone all the time. she mended things easily with Eddie, then Gram, but hated Ava for the longest. and even when they did get their relationship into the green, they would somehow start hating each other all over again(even when i didn't see them doing anything). she eventually went to college too and got into the musician career, but not before meeting a guy and accidentally getting pregnant. she had the baby and stayed in the house and everyone helped take care of him. Ava decided to go to college too while she worked, but a work scandal got her fired so she took some time off, finishing school too, before taking a detour into becoming a Spellcaster. lol (she got a voodoo doll from somewhere and kept using it, so i ran with it). she was focused and determined and rose thru the spellcaster ranks fast, even building a secret witch room in the basement that only she could get into because u had to transportalate there. they all mended their relationships with Gram very slowly but Gram ended up donating 10k to charity. all she wanted was a big happy family and she didn't get that before Grimm came to get her... the kids mourned her, but Ava felt that she deserved to have the family that she always wanted, so when she finally ranked up enough to learn to bring people back to life, she "necro-called" her Gram and brought her back. When Gram was alive again, they "talked about being dead"(lol) and Gram decided that she wanted to do the thing in this second life that she never got to do....... so she went to Vlad's and became a vampire🤣... from there, she had a vampire-vixen glow-up and had the new aspiration to have a huge 'vampire family'. she was turning people left, right, and center, lol. but she eventually fulfilled her dream of having a big happy 'family'. in the meantime, all the kids moved out except Ava. She stayed in the house, met another spellcaster, and they lived together for awhile before getting married then getting pregnant with a little girl. She mostly just works, but drinks potions to stay young and immortal. eddie had long since moved in with his new glutton gf (after half of his other love interests died randomly) only to find out AFTER moving in that she already had a toddler (lol.) they lived in vlad's hood, but soon moved to brindleton bay for...reasons... then ended up having two more kids and got a dog(who ran away at one point) and a kitten that they got from a litter that Ava's cat had. Eddie also weirdly developed an addiction to grilled cheese, so... that was a thing, lol, and he kept building servos that would blow up randomly. He finally fulfilled his dream of eating grilled cheese in space tho. Lila decided to commit her non-commital azz to her baby daddy and at first they lived in a crap apt in San Myshuno, but once her beau graduated college to become a teacher, and she got promoted high enough, they had enough cash to move into a penthouse in SM. They got one of Ava's kittens too and live lavishly. the Landrys still don't always get along, but they come together for holidays and birthdays, weddings, and deaths, (always at night tho cuz Gram has a 'sun allergy' 😂... except that one time Ava forgot and had her wedding during the day.. Gram came and burst into flame... i had to reset the game to save her and didn't want to cancel the event so i had Ava "morphiate" her into a bunny statue til sundown. lol. worked perfectly.😎) and sometimes just to hang, and now i'm playing one of the other scenarios while i wait for the kids to grow up (i like to let the neighborhood grow 'naturally' sometimes)... Ava's daughter seems to be on a path to become a very evil Spellcaster...... anyways, just thought i'd share my version of this scenario. it was fun. i also played 'cook that burns everything' one too but weirdly, she didn't start a single fire... it's interesting to see how people all play the same scenario so differently. Sending 💖
this felt a little like my own family too. i'm the oldest of 3 girls so it was kinda funny cuz i used my sisters and and i for inspo on how each Sim might act. lol
I just played the scenario and Lila married Dina Caliente. Eddie died of cold in a ski vacation during his and ava's midlife crisis. Ava kept being mean to everyone so I moved her out. She was a criminal lol
There are a few reasons why Scenarios seem forgotten, I think a big one is that many people like playing at least some form of Legacy game play, while scenarios are often a starting point and maybe a bit of a closed loop. They can also be overly scripted, like the one with the Martinez family had a point where all the kids grew up early to move on to the next stage which affected how I wanted to play them. They maybe also suffer from a few of the more interesting ones needing you to play a pre-made family. Arguably, scenarios feel a bit mishandled. They seem like the perfect format to do tutorials for new features, rather than having new aspirations with each pack. They could also be there to show how packs could combine, like a scenario that mixed bits from Growing Together, Parenthood, High School Years... At the moment, they all feel like they mostly rely upon Base Game stuff when they could do stuff with expansion content, maybe unlocked when people buy the relevant pack(s). Honestly, I wish this they handled lifelong aspirations in a set up like scenarios. The current set up feels like Skill bonuses, especially with how you switch between them. Could you imagine in the Athletic Aspiration that you have to complete certain markers by points, and maybe even have things like being forced to move to a different neighbourhood? What if they had different career options there once you left Young adult and maybe have to move either in to TV presenting, or coaching? The scenarios should be emergent, not just ones that start off a new save. There is a scope to do so much with them if they let you start a scenario if you triggered certain conditions. You could have a rival employee scenario show up in the Scientist career. What about a corrupt colleague story in the detective career? A scenario about an Author who gets a runaway hit, like a Sims JK Rowling? There is so much space you could do stuff with them. I'd love to see them let people submit emergent scenarios to a gallery if they let a script engine go public for them...
@@tortillachips3911 Alas, I feel that is probably too ambitious - they'd need to vet them for example, and some ideas would need new moodlets to be programmed. I saw an Australian girl starting a playthrough on here about a family newly moved to a different world and away from Sulani, and where the teen daughter felt homesick about missing her friends. She was doing the heavy lifting with the story telling, but to make that in to a scenario, it would need some kind of homesick moodlet, and the ability to alleviate it by phoning or chatting online with old friends.
I did this scenario I think over a year ago. I remember being at the point where I was fixing all of Eddy's relationships, except the older sister who hated everyone. So the younger sister and the grandma both liked Eddy, were neutral to each other, and didn't like the older sister. The breakthrough for the younger sister was having them dance with people for a bit and then they were able to talk without getting upset. The only way I was able to get the older sister to stop hating everyone was I literally just had the whole family dance for several hours.
@@gradpost9926 I focused on Eddie and got the exact same result. I was honestly angry, because I wanted a different result from when I'd watched James do the scenario when it was new, but nope.
Scenarios are cool in theory, and I even play them from time to time, but I’m not shocked they’re not super popular. I feel like for a lot of people a big aspect of the sims is the very individualized gameplay, and it seemed like the people who stuck to the more “challenge” based gameplay was always a pretty small subsection of the sims community.
Oh, I played this scenario back in the day. I don't remember what the outcome was, but getting them to not hate each other after they nerfed photos was sooo annoying. I made them all play chess together all day all night basically.
I'm really glad they went further with the scenarios, i tried to do one for fun once and was really disappointed the storyline was not all reflected in the sims relationship or anything else. This looked pretty fun!
I actually find the idea of the mean oldest sibling character learning how to be nice and as a result receiving the sincere trait in the end. This was very fun to watch lol, I'd love for more scenarios/stories.
i love scenarios! the townies they make for them are fun are pretty unique. And i like seeing the little scenario objectives list fill out, i even have a mod that turns your NSB challenge into a scenario which makes it so much easier to make sure im doing everything before i progress to the next gen!
I loved this video today! It was a nice change of pace, to her everyday videos. The story between the grandma and her grandkids was very interesting and funny at the same time. I hope lilsimsie makes more videos about the scenarios again. Thanks for the amazing video today!❤😊😂
I have played all the scenarios (as I use them when I'm playing vanilla after an update.) But my favorite is the Plant Sim scenario. I also like the ones about frogs (that is no longer available without a mod. And since I only play scenarios when the mods haven't been updated, that means I won't be playing the frog scenario.) I wish they'd do more that utilize different parts of the game that we might not use. But I can do without the ones that give you Sims to work with. (And I especially disliked the Family Fortune one because I could never get it to turn out differently at the end, no matter how differently I played it. And I deliberately was choosing different options each time I played.)
no one else will relate to this, but i just got my wisdom teeth taken out and have been rewatching old simsie videos. tell me why i JUST watched the video of lilsimsie building the house she is playing in? super cute build, just stunned me for a second!
These really ought to be selectable from CAS when you start creating a Sim. Once I'm in-game, even if I'm making new sims, it's not like I'm going back to the main menu to look at stuff, so I never see those scenarios. If they were easier to define, modders would have an absolute _field day._ If they don't want to give us more of them, they should at least let us make our own!!!
im currently doing this same scenario with the Landry household. I found giving each other gifts like a flower arrangement constantly back and forth and apologising to each other worked the best and also worked quickly to get everyone's relationship into the green and now currently in my game two of the siblings have become best friends. I haven't figured out how to heal the negative sentiments yet
it's so interesting seeing lots of people in the comments loving scenarios! i played it once when they first came out and found them incredibly boring. if i don't have free reign in my game, i feel super bogged down and i don't have any fun. how cool that we all play a lil differently!
That was actually really fun! I haven't done any welcome scenarios myself cause I thought they would be boring but they are really well done, I'm gonna try some of them
I LOVED scenarios. The Unlucky Chef one was so much fun to play through, probably one of my favorite memories of The Sims 4. I wish they went more in that direction, having harder scnarios that change how you play the game instead of the "this is how the game works" scenarios. Also I hate that they don't have like a checkmark or something to indicate you did a scenario already.
I heard your cat at 1:57 and immediately looked towards my own because I thought it was her but she sounded so weird so I was worried at first. But then saw that she was sleeping and remembered that you had cats as well. rewinded a few seconds and confirmed it. what a vocal baby.
This seemed really fun! I wish they would go back and add more- maybe pack specific scenarios? It could be a great intro to something like Get Famous or Werewolves
I've only played 2-3 scenarios and that was seveeral years ago, but what an absolute blast watching you play this scenario! You inspire me to try out a few scenarios, adding the household of each completed scenario to my current legacy challenge. Thanks so much for sharing!
This video inspired me to go play this scenario but this scenario is broken when you get to the part where you need to clear the negative sentiments. I cleared the sentiments and waited days and that’s the one thing that won’t get checked off. I looked up a Reddit thread to fix it with mods but I don’t play with mods so I’m so upset I can’t play this save anymore.
My biggest complaint is that this scenario can be buggy and not tick things off like when I played it wouldn’t check off the negative sentiments even thought they were healed
I primarily play with Scenarios, personally. My main cluster of save files are all with Nova Curious, from the "Stuck in Their Shadow" Scenario. I was terrified of EA discontinuing that Scenario so I backed a starting save up so I could run the Scenario in a variety of different ways and see how many different Novas I'd end up with!
I love that you pleayed with the scenarios. I only played with them once quite a while ago and got bored. It seems like they improved the gam play, so thats good to know! Also fun to watch :)
I know this isnt possible in game but when Ava got the most my mind instantly thought she edited the will because her letter said so much good things about her and I feel like she would do that to get back at her siblings.
(she always gets the most no matter what. i can fully believe this is possible, but) my interpretation is that as the oldest, she has the most developed brain so she acts the most "mature" which makes granny always assume she's done better than she has
I think Ava got the largest amount of money due to a combination of being the oldest sibling and having the Ambitious trait. While her Mean trait means she's the worst about causing conflict in the family, the Ambitious part means that she probably has the best work ethic (note that most of the text-box conversations with Grandma had Ava giving replies while the one about getting jobs was directed to Eddie who causes the least familial tension but does have the Lazy trait).
GRANNY NOOOO! 😭😭😭 I weirdly started a scenario about two days ago so this video came in at just the right time. I've never bothered with them before. I really hope you do a series of this. It's fun!
scenarios are for ppl like me!!! who LOVEEE the sims, and loves building, loves CAS, but also… kinda gets bored with gameplay even if im having the most fun ever!!! I just love scenarios because they give me new sims with a back ground and something to fulfill !
I had a save file for all the scenarios and filled the world with the scenario families, it was an interesting way to change up my game without buying any new packs
If you took the effort to make them befriend one another, then obviously Eva has worked through her bad trait of being "mean", as you did not get them proper jobs, the lazy sibling is still "lazy" and the immature sibling is still immature. Hence why Eva gets the most money.
My problem with scenarios is that most of them don’t offer a fun and unique enough reward to justify going through the effort of playing them. If all I’m gonna get is satisfaction points, I’ll just work on the aspirations for my sims I need satisfaction points for. I wanna make my own stories with my own characters in my own builds, if I’m gonna sacrifice the fun of doing that, my reward needs to be something other than the reward for doing the thing I enjoy. Like a new trait, or an expensive potion, or hell if they added some scenarios that rewarded some cool furniture or CaS items or a wallpaper maybe? That’s cool. I’ll do that, but if it’s just satisfaction points, which it is for most scenarios, it isn’t worth it imo
I like to cheat the relationship bar by having them stay as far away as possible from each other, too lower the bad sentiments, and having them text/call each other. It boost their relationship pretty fast and works like a charm.

@@noway3128but shes not a kid.. shes a young adult so in her 20s 💀💀💀 i get it as characterization but who would wear socks and tights with no shoes and she has shoes in one outfit so its not even fully committed to
@@noway3128 The thing is that the shoes are only on the hot weather outfit, but on none of the other outfits.
@@dolllhands looks like you got your wish!
I would love to see you play more of the scenarios I also think using them as townies would be so much fun as well as starting a legacy based off these sims
oh my god everything reminds me of my old cat. Snap is not my cat but I cry about them. Deliha was very vocal in her old age also, yowling around the house holding socks as trophies from her successful hunts.
thats so cute but so sad. im sorry for your loss my baby (a few months old) kitten just passed so i know how you feel.
Aww, she sounds amazing. Sorry for your loss ❤
The idea that you can let the grandma down is such a gutpunch to me, but also, the DRAMA!!
I thought it was the aunts house???
I died so many times to that stupid tv lol
AH! i can't believe the coincidence of you playing this scenario!! i LITERALLY started this scenario a couple weeks ago and have been playing it (and some side stories around it) ever since! 🤣.... my version went MUCH different than yours tho lol. for anyone interested:
i had them in the big house in the upper right corner of glimmerbrook. and let all the kids kinda do their own thing. i got them all jobs: Ava-lawyer (she was VERY strict about her regimen), Eddie- Tech Guru(had him do college first tho), Lila- musician, tho she took a different route than the other two and was kinda a leaf in the wind for awhile. i had her just hanging out, sleeping in, partying alot, bringing random dudes home, and doing freelance stuff with her music.
The amount of times I laughed out loud at this video! ESPECIALLY when Granny did a death drop while holding dirty dishes in her pjs lmao
I think Granny Cooks when she's Emotionally Stressed. So Relatable.
"argue about politics, wow this really is a family dinner" oh this is so painfully relatable
I'd love to see them let people submit emergent scenarios to a gallery if they let a script engine go public for them...
omg i was already hard agreeing with you, but that end point!!!! gallery scenarios omgggg
The only way I was able to get the older sister to stop hating everyone was I literally just had the whole family dance for several hours.
man that's ngl anti climatic but well that's ts4 for you:(
@@bethwantstosleepp2708its ok at least the thing with eddy was interesting
I'm not really surprised that Ava got the most inheritance, because she sticks out to me the most responsible among the siblings
The problem is, even if any of the others work harder, she STILL gets the most.
I also see it as she's the oldest so the grandmother probably saved up for her longer than the other siblings.
I was thinking it was because Kayla was on her when she sold things to earn the 10000 simoleons, so the game attributed most of the work to Ava.
This seems to be the outcome for everyone I've seen play this scenario, which is one of the reasons I won't.
I actually really liked scenarios, I hope they bring them back!
Oh I genuinely really hope we're going to get to see more scenarios played by you, this was super fun to watch!
I'm really glad they went further with the scenarios, i tried to do one for fun once and was really disappointed the storyline was not all reflected in the sims relationship or anything else. This looked pretty fun!
Omg I always forget about scenarios! I have to try them again
I play the ”new in town” scenario soooo much just because the storytelling is so cozy:”) it’s perfect for Henford-on-Bagley!
I just played through that scenario recently and had a blast. Honestly debating running it again and then using Farrah for another challenge!
I actually find the idea of the mean oldest sibling character learning how to be nice and as a result receiving the sincere trait in the end. This was very fun to watch lol, I'd love for more scenarios/stories.
I love scenarios, it really helps the story telling.
I would love to see a whole series of you playing all the scenarios!
i love scenarios! the townies they make for them are fun are pretty unique.
8:21she’s so real for that 😭😭
I have played all the scenarios (as I use them when I'm playing vanilla after an update.) But my favorite is the Plant Sim scenario. I also like the ones about frogs (that is no longer available without a mod. And since I only play scenarios when the mods haven't been updated, that means I won't be playing the frog scenario.)
I wish they'd do more that utilize different parts of the game that we might not use. But I can do without the ones that give you Sims to work with. (And I especially disliked the Family Fortune one because I could never get it to turn out differently at the end, no matter how differently I played it. And I deliberately was choosing different options each time I played.)
Yes! I had the same experience!
Lila was already brave, the no shoes choice proved that😂
*looks at video title*
TRUTHHHHHH
no one else will relate to this, but i just got my wisdom teeth taken out and have been rewatching old simsie videos. tell me why i JUST watched the video of lilsimsie building the house she is playing in? super cute build, just stunned me for a second!
These really ought to be selectable from CAS when you start creating a Sim. Once I'm in-game, even if I'm making new sims, it's not like I'm going back to the main menu to look at stuff, so I never see those scenarios.
If they were easier to define, modders would have an absolute _field day._ If they don't want to give us more of them, they should at least let us make our own!!!
yesss!!! i want modded scenarios SO bad
Nightmare legacy challenge merging this scenario could be fun!
im currently doing this same scenario with the Landry household.
13:46 not Kayla clicking the “You are my favorite” interaction 😭😭😭
and then she still gets less than ava in the will 😭
i love playing scenarios!! my fave is the aliens stole the parents hehe
“Thanks rich granny rip” 😂😂😂💀
I've played Sims like 50 hours, and have never seen a scenario even once.
This seemed really fun! I wish they would go back and add more- maybe pack specific scenarios? It could be a great intro to something like Get Famous or Werewolves
Please do more scenarios this was so fun!
I've played one so far, I think they could do so much more with these
I would love to see more scenarios as a let's play! Definitely in favor of adding these sims as townies :)
Simsie: “you need anything”
Snap: “yeeahh!” 😂❤
14:48 I THOUGHT GRANNY DIED LOL 😂😂😂
14:48 had me giggling a ton. "OH i broke her ohmygod oh dear"
My cat got really vocal in his old age too! Hearing Snap's loud meow was sooo cute ❤
2:00 my cat did too like as soon as he hit 12 he started meowing so much!!
I love watching you play scenarios it reminds me to use them and also it’s super entertaining
I’m so glad you played this scenario!! I tried it one day and gave up 😂 I’m excited to see how yours comes out!!
2:00 Omg same. My cat never said anything. At 17 she started screaming at me xD 18 now and still loves to talk.
THIS
I am in love with Snaps yells ❤❤❤
I played the Power Couple scenario recently. It’s basic but it was fun to craft a storyline around!
The Sims Team: Is there anything I can help you with?
Kayla: I know more than you
I'm glad you did this cuz I've been eyeing the scenarios for a while it wasn't really sure how they worked. This has been very helpful.
I know this isnt possible in game but when Ava got the most my mind instantly thought she edited the will because her letter said so much good things about her and I feel like she would do that to get back at her siblings.
(she always gets the most no matter what. i can fully believe this is possible, but) my interpretation is that as the oldest, she has the most developed brain so she acts the most "mature" which makes granny always assume she's done better than she has
@tortillachips3911 Yeah, or maybe she actually is a good person and it just doesn't really explain that. I just don't like her.
@@JustaStrawberrii agreed
I like how I just did this scenario yesterday! And here we are
The part with the grandma bugging in the bed absolutely killed me 🤣💀 just the casual “oh no I broke her” and her position; all hilarious
We need a series of you doing all the scenarios 😂
I think Ava got the largest amount of money due to a combination of being the oldest sibling and having the Ambitious trait. While her Mean trait means she's the worst about causing conflict in the family, the Ambitious part means that she probably has the best work ethic (note that most of the text-box conversations with Grandma had Ava giving replies while the one about getting jobs was directed to Eddie who causes the least familial tension but does have the Lazy trait).
Ava found the will changed it and unalived grandma😂😂
😂😂😂
GRANNY NOOOO! 😭😭😭 I weirdly started a scenario about two days ago so this video came in at just the right time. I've never bothered with them before. I really hope you do a series of this. It's fun!
scenarios are for ppl like me!!! who LOVEEE the sims, and loves building, loves CAS, but also… kinda gets bored with gameplay even if im having the most fun ever!!! I just love scenarios because they give me new sims with a back ground and something to fulfill !
Snap really said “HI!”
I love playing the scenarios, they give a really good starting point and are shorter than full play throughs
I think 3 hours is the closest i’ve ever been! Thanks for posting kayla! 💜
Honestly this scenario looks pretty fun to play with I might try it😭
I would definitely LOVE to see you play through the scenarios! You're so fun to watch! 😊
I had a save file for all the scenarios and filled the world with the scenario families, it was an interesting way to change up my game without buying any new packs
We need a mini series of simsie playing each challenge
they literally couldn't avoid getting angry😭
PLEASE DO MORE SCENARIOS!! This video is so fun!!!
this is honestly so reminiscent of old console games and i love it
If you took the effort to make them befriend one another, then obviously Eva has worked through her bad trait of being "mean", as you did not get them proper jobs, the lazy sibling is still "lazy" and the immature sibling is still immature.
The Sims should have put those unlock rewards behind the scenarios as an incentive to do and complete them
I like to cheat the relationship bar by having them stay as far away as possible from each other, too lower the bad sentiments, and having them text/call each other. It boost their relationship pretty fast and works like a charm.
Can we please have longer episodes? Enjoying your videos 😃
I am in love with the way you have been fixing your hair lately. 😍
