CORRECTION!! Hey y'all. I just noticed that I said 1/2 cup of cheese powder. That should be 1/4 cup of cheese powder. The printable recipe has the correct measurements. I just said it wrong in the video😁😁
Freeze dryers, yeah. I priced them earlier this year. Nope. We're almost 70, no kids so completely not practical for us. Last week I made from scratch potato soup. Slow cooker, onion, celery and one small potato cooked until tender. Took about 45 minutes. Then I added milk and instant potatoes to desired thickness. Putting the milk away I noticed the shredded cheddar so, why not? It was great and quick. Love these recipes.
Knorr Bouillon…”we’re going to use it up until we’ve got no more “…….yup and then we’ll buy some more 😂😂😂…. You can dehydrate cheese in a dehydrator if need be but if I am honest for the time it takes and mess it makes, I’d just assume buy some … my time alone is worth more than that 😏 The soup mixes look like keeper! 😊
well, bless you for reading my mind! the neighbor finally got home today after her foot was operated on and i want to make her some meals cuz she cant walk yet and these will help..
If you search on UA-cam for an influence named 'Rain Country' she has videos on how to make cheese powder and alot of other things. She dehydrates a lot of different things. I have done raw eggs and now have shelf stable egg powder so she does a lot. Thank you for all these wonderful videos you have. I love them. Especially the different mixes you've shared. They are amazing.
I live in Canada and I bought Kraft Dinner cheese powder at Costco. So- not the boxed KD dinner with the noodles- JUST the cheese powder. You might try looking there for cheese powder if your local grocery store doesn’t carry it.
Thanks! After I prep and blanch it, I dehydrate at 125F for about 10 hours. The time will depend on how big your broccoli is, how wet it is and your specific dehydrator. There’s not really an exact time🙂
🍂🍂☃️☃️🍂🍂🍂🙂WooooOOOOOW👍Awesome job! Your recipes are always innovative, unique and awesome 👌 Very interesting to watch the entire process. Directions are simple and easy to follow. Will you be making a recipe book of everything that you do because I really like your recipes, I love your taste which is what I like yummy delicious food
I blanched it for about 3 minutes and then dropped them in an ice bath. I then kinda patted some of the water off before putting them in the dehydrator🙂
If you can figure out how to make instant Ox Tail soup, I will fall down and kiss your feet. Knorr makes it, but you can only get it from Ireland these days and it's soooo expensive.
❤Another awesome video!😀I simply couldn't wait and I made a small batch of your Potatoe mix to turn into future cups of soups because it's startinG to get really chilly here in Edmonton, AB!🥶I tried my first cup of soup that I had added Cajun Seasoning, Red Peppers, Fresh Onion, and Ham pieces into it and it turned out so Yummylicious!😍ThaNK Goodness that I am growinG some green onions and gaRliC snips on my Window Sill so that I shall be able to add these to my future soups!🌹🌱🌱🌱🌹Shine on Sweet Soul and HaVe a BleSSed LiFe!✌🤓🙏😇🌹🌞🌹☕🍵☕

but we were watching you.
A lot of people say you can grate cheese fine spread on cookie sheet at low temp in oven then grind it in a mixer to get powder
@@AshleyEasterling-k8l yes! I am doing some now😁😁
I really like these "mix" videos. So helpful!!
Glad you like them!😁😁
I'm with you there.
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest I'm in South Africa can I use potato powder? We get the sachets of powdered potato but not the flakes
Same here. Very helpful and convenient, yet we know the ingredients.
@ yes you can! Just make sure to whisk well so that it doesn’t clump up😁

Homemade potato soup is the best!! Yea…a freeze dryer is not in my budget lol😁😁

@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest last time it was a 6 week recoup..but her nephew can micro cook,
I always cook these 2 soups from scratch so thank you for showing me an easier way. Since I am alone this seems much easier.
Homemade always tastes the best, but these are great when you don’t have time to cook from scratch😁
Same
Two great recipes. I was just thinking that the broccoli cheese soup would be really good on a baked potato. Thanks!
Oh that would be good!😁
Both very quick & convenient! I love potato soup the best 😋😊👍
Me too!😁😁

Yummy, I've made the potato mix and gave it as Christmas gifts last year. Your recipe is the same as mine. Thank you for sharing. 🙂♥️

Curry powger can be a nice addition to the cheese soup.
Thanks for the tip 😁

Thank You!
You're welcome!😁
I love all your mix recipes. Thank you
Glad you like them!😁
I like “lumpy” potato soup so I think I will also throw in some frozen hash browns.
I sometimes add the diced canned potatoes 😁
Whats so bad about Knorr bouillon? Honest question.
It contains MSG and some people can’t have it, or just don’t like it🙂
@ oh, I didn’t realize that. Thank you! 😊
Hey Tammy!
Thanks for sharing these recipes, your helping me stock my pantry !!!
I did the broccoli cheese for lunch and all I can say is yummy 😋.
Wonderful!😁😁
I bought a smaller box of powdered cheese at Walmart.
Is it cheddar and what department was it in? Brand name please? I do curbside pickup usually so I let them find the obscure products for me.
My Walmart didn’t have it. I need a better Walmart lol😁
Y'all my Walmart will be lucky to have cheese let alone cheese powder 😂.
Pennsylvania Dutch markets frequently carry dry goods including cheese powder
@ 😂😂same😂😂
I have GOT to make……😮
😁😁
Great soup mixes! Your videos are a lifesaver, lol - this stuff is so useful! Will be trying these! Have a great week and take care!

You can actually get that cheese powder at GFS.
What is GFS? I don’t think we have that here.
@TalesFromAnEmptyNest Gordon Food Service
@ oh ok. We don’t have that here🙂
@@TalesFromAnEmptyNest also you don't need a freeze dryer to make cheese powder. I've seen it made in a dehydrator.

Maybe one day!😁
Did you cook the broccoli before dehydrating?
I blanched it for about 3 minutes and then dropped them in an ice bath. I then kinda patted some of the water off before putting them in the dehydrator🙂
I need to get busy. Lol. Still have not mixed up any of your mixes yet. I promise....I will do it.yes I will!
Lol you have time😂
Just found you .new sub here❤

You can make cheese powder with a dehydrator. Check the Rain Country channel for directions.
What?!? If I can pull off cheese powder you are my new best friend!😁😁
There are a few videos here on UA-cam that show you how to do it with a food dehydrator
@ I’m already investigating 😂
Im thinking that the Knorr leek soup mix might work really well in your potato soup recipe! What do you think?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Knorr leek soup mix🙂
Yum
So trying this
Can you tell me where you got the cheese powder please?
NEVERMIND I listened to the rest of the video 😂😂😂😂
