🤟 great job! been missing the videos🫵👍🙌
I've got so much content, just need to edit and post! Much more coming this year 👊👊
Super deluxe work dude! What blade are you running on the 36000?
This blade is a beast! I don't think I'll be replacing it anytime soon, here it is: amzn.to/3HnP6z2
Woah! Error! If you put that niche into load-bearing wall (right next to window, so it must be) you can't just cut gaps in the studs and frame out with 2x4's. You need to put a header over your niche to support the studs you cut, otherwise it'll sag over time, and warp your beautiful tile job.
I don’t use my tile saw much other than small tile. I have the ridgid 7” and I hate it because I can’t get it to cut square even after messing around with the adjustments. I was thinking about getting the Dewalt 36000 and maybe the kobalt bench top one cause it seems like you use that a lot for small tile. I was looking at the small IQ too, which I know you have, but I never see you use it. I hate buying shitty tools then upgrading a year later. What do you think?
We use our manual tile cutter on 90% of cuts for our showers and the Kobalt cordless for the notch cuts etc.
8:21 why dose it look like the tile is all just sitting in mid air like there are voids everywhere? How good is the coverage on the tile?.
Got to keep edges clean for clips/wedges otherwise the plastic breaks and you have to cut it out after removing them
@@LandbergTileTV Yea I get that but you can clearly see behind the back of that tile on the right hand side with the 2 clips at the bottom. There's little mortar holding that tile to the wall. I know you back butter so that will help a lot but when you can see clearly behind a tile like that. The result is voids.
Nice job. What size trowel do you use for the shower base to install the little tile?
We use a V notch trowel usually for small pan tile
Nice and I'd like to see how you finish that window as I'm planning to redo one bathroom where a window will come into play
I don't think I'd install a niche on an outside wall as we have cold winter months...your thoughts?
Here in Denver, we like to not install niches on exterior walls, but if the client insist we put in an insulation board that is about a quarter inch thick, which would make the niche less deep, however, still installed.
A quarter inch would not cut it here with temps dropping to -22f at times in January.
We never have cold winter months plus it's foam prefab, not float/mortar. We don't go below 50 and over 75 year round.
Do you have tiktok
He does but he doenst post much
Yeah, Instagram, but rarely post tiktok
Can’t wait for the next episode of this miniseries 🍿
Early next week!
Nice work, where are you based? just wondering about cold bridging on the niche on the exterior wall?
He's in southern Cali I believe, so I doubt cold weather is much of an issue for his work.
Weather here does not drop below 50 and never over 75 👊👊👊
Why didn't you use the IQ saw?
We needed to miter our porcelain, d36000 is better at miters
Oh when will home owners finally realize that putting a seat in a shower that size is a huge mistake. A seat in a very large shower, whatever. A seat in anything 4'x3' or less is just nuts.
Your work as usually is excellent. And I hope you don't mind, but I've stolen several of your ideas and processes. 😉
The client gets what the client wants! tile on brother 👊
