I show how and why to squash the hooks on your rubber bungees. I also find out I have a broken Flex pipe on my exhaust Follow me on Facebook / flatbeddan Twitter / supertruckerdan Instagram / supertruckerdan
I hope your channel takes off. You show the real side of trucking, not this bullshit these other wanna be divas are putting out. Stay safe out there Dan.
Enjoy your videos Dan, a true gentleman, I'm not a driver but grew up the son and grandson of owner operators and your videos show trucking for what it is , no BS no glory, just stay busy and loaded. Best I have seen on you, you make most the other boys on here look like they're standing still
Dan you sir a pro. I have to say your organization and attention to detail is impressive. No days of our lives drama crap. More people like you would give the industry a much better reputation. Thank you.
I'm in full agreement with all the other positive comments about your GREAT channel and videos. Dan, your doing a wonderful job showing the reality of truck driving, without any bs or spin, just the way the job is. Your opening imagery, and camera perspective, ( very creative and cool) on this video is a perfect example. How many so called, "professional' truck drivers would show the amount of 'pull ups ' it takes to safely enter an inside dock? I think you only had 2, and with your 'rears' placed as far back as flatbeds are, only 2 pull ups shows you know your stuff. Heck, I could slide my rears way up, in extremely tight inside dock deliveries, and I can't remember how many pull ups I did to plug in the 53' box, safely. It was way more than 2 and took way more time than you did. Thanks for the sharing of your expertise, adventures and honest approach to truck driving, oh, and the work of putting out these videos, that's a job in itself. Be safe...PRO driver.
Hope you and your wife are ok. They were talking about those wild fire. They look massive. My prayers are with you and your family and friends in your area.
just got to watch your video great job your video great job on super trucker Dan be safe out there and on your adventure from Paris Texas God bless you and thank you keeping American rolling
Great editing job jumping the video on the music beat. You're saving some $$ doing that fix. TFC just got hosed on a fuel line repair. Thanks for the ride & tips.
Yeaaah those pesky exhaust pipes always seem to sneak up on you when you least expect. The stainless steel flex pipe is better but everything has a expiration date...lol. Stay safe Dan and see you in the Bayou Country. "Laissez les bons temps rouler"...Let the good times roll✌
That opening part where you had the camera overlooking the flatbed while you backed in and got loaded was awesome. Really good stuff! What do you think about putting your coordinator on speaker phone and pre-arranging not to talk specific dollar amounts so you could maybe share one of those conversations?? Your channel is growing faster these days. Congratulations!
side of the road temp fix would be s couple of large hose clamps and a soda can with the top and bottom removes and split down the middle, add a piece of gasket material cinch down tight and your done!
A quicker fix would be one of those wide clamps like the one on there, good to get you home and then fix it. Of coarse as hot as it's been over here in AZ. it might be better to fix it there. Dan if you read this check on a load of sheetrock. A lot of drywall comes out of Vegas to AZ. Worth checking out. Stay safe>
Yea Dan I seen that and you are so right to fix it now because if you keep putting those clamps on you end up with no flex and something else breaks. Anyway great video as usual. It's been really hot back here in AZ Enjoy the ride good sir.
Hey Dan, headed to New Orleans? That's my part of the country. I live in Baton Rouge. Lots of great eating and I hope you can check some out! Also, its been doing nothing but raining so do your best to stay dry! Be safe!
Another good video. I'm not a trucker, so please don't think this is stupid question. Do you have to tell the fork lift driver how you want the load put on the flat bed or do you let him get on with it.
+Paul Whitear Most places already have a plan for how they want to load the trailer. If I don't see something that is safe I'll say something but most of the time once they set it down on the trailer that's where it stays
Great job Dan , I am very impressed with your site. I am wondering if you are saving up for a new truck or a low mileage used one. Are you happy with the horsepower and gear ratios that you currently have. I know that you prefer the flat bed system. Be safe and give KALLIE a pet for me. Dave.
Looks like you'll be passing by me again a couple of times on I-10. If a meet up isn't possible, at least wave when you pass exit 174...its about 10 mins from the house.
another good vlog. Informative as ever. havnt seen much of your dog, maybe do a vlog with her in. Truckers and their pets? keep it going, holidays coming for you! Take care. 👍

Super trucker Dan why do you need in stainless steel flex pipe 👍🏻👍🏻
+David Gil
Hopefully the stainless steel will not rust as fast
hey Dan I've been watching your Flix for a while now I think you'd be pretty cool to hang out with you seem like an OK guy hope I see you on the road
+Michael J Negro Jr

If you put those hooks deeper in the mouth of the pliers...you will have greater leverage. That will make it easier to bend.
Changed many flex pipes for my dad on 350 cummins, just would not hold up and had on both exhausts... :)
Your tarp jobs always look neat and tight! On average how long will a tarp last you?
+Brian Mulligan
I usually give myself about a hour to tarp. Some tarp jods go faster. This one took about about 30 mins
your at burns harbor
Were you on the I10 Wednesday or Thursday? Could've sworn I saw your truck through the rain drops.
dan dan,...... on what kind of day "pacific" you mean "specific" don't worry when i was younger i did the same...
Is your trailer a 48 or 53 footer? Enjoyed the video.
+Tim Butler
I have a 48 foot trailer
Thanks for watching
Do you find it better to "squoosh" the hooks as opposed to "squishin' " them?
So Trucker Dan, How much is all the Accessories and Tarps & Binders etc, is it a package deal from Merced? $$$$..?
+Jimmy T
You can buy everything you will need. I don't think mercer has a package deal but everything will cost you around $2500
Copy Dan, I Thought maybe because their name is on the Tarp you'd would have to buy their Accessories,Thanks for your reply...B-safe.
how many days are you away from home on average
