New subscriber, old retired trucker, love your content, things are a whole lot different than it was back in the day, love your truck, and really love bailey she seems to love trucking life, will be watching more of your video's truck safely, keep it between the ditches, and bottom down . 👍
Dan you always thank us for watching, thank you for giving us something to watch. I remember running through some of those roads back in the day. Great memories.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Boy, so many deck drivers could learn a lot just by watching your videos. You really never have much problems with your loads. You secure them right when it first gets put on your truck. Small adjustments is all what you ever do. All those many loads you have done so you know how to secure any load put on your Dorsey. By the way your unit looks really nice. I like when you run the back roads, that’s were America really is. Interstate is fast but rather boring. Great video Dan. Have a great and a safe day, happy trails to you, D..
Hello Dan Just had two weeks in Tucson agree with you bit hot But enjoying truck watching on hi10 different world out here to UK 🇬🇧trucking Home to the cool UK next week You stay safe and keep the video’s coming I really appreciate the time you put into producing them Cheers mate 🌵🇺🇸👍🛫🇬🇧
Many year's ago I drove flatbed for Thunderbird Steel based out of ABQ. NM , and delivered building materials to a business in Ruidoso NM. The scenery sure was pretty back then.
Dan, I grewup in Oklahoma, 1959 was my first experience with Sam Walton. He stopped in a little Gas station where I was working. Sam Walton was known in the central Oklahoma territory as a real business man, he would buy the Gibson stores and rename them Walmart. He worn bib- overalls, drove an old Chevy pickup. I still remember his demeanor!
Hello Dan hey glad to see you back I know it's always nice to go home and take a break also for you to spend time with your wife hope she's doing feelin better and doing well. Take care and make that money and stay save.
I would use 16 duplex nails They have 2 heads a inter larger head and a small outer head so you can remove them without damaging the board when removing the nails.
Safe Travels. Shame on the Truck Stop Mess. Was getting concerned but had forgotten you took a short vacation, hope Teresa is going better. Love Miss Bailey❤❤❤. You have to keep Princess Bailey cool 🆒😎. Give her a hug, smooches, & scratches behind each ear.
Hey Dan. Long time follower. Those are crack sealer machines. I used to work for KDOT here in Kansas and we had one and sealed cracks on the roads every summer. I live about 40 min south of KC and you have gotten close a few times. I think you pick up Kubota's near me sometimes. Love your videos. Baily is fun to watch. The truck is looking very nice. Safe travels buddy.
Little history: Almagordo is close to the White Sands Nat Park, and of course the Nuclear test sites. Ruidoso is famous for the horse racing and mtn beauty. Apache reservation is close by.
Hi Dan and Bailey. I’m glad you got to spend some quality home time. I like your Mickey Mouse nails and box, but I thought you’d need a left-handed hammer for those 😊 Stay safe.
Hi again Daniel, watching this video a second time and was scared Bailey might try to jump out or fall out of the open door on her side at 00:27 and thought about your adding some safety netting on that side of the truck near her seat. I might be overly protective.
Guthrie, OK was also the original state capital of Oklahoma too. Seems there was some hub-bub about people sneaking in at night and 'stealing' the state seal or something like that, and taking it to Oklahoma City (back in the day). Maybe just lore! :)
congratulations on getting to 60k I always enjoy your videos Long time subscriber Thanks for all the effort you put into making these videos Safe travels from Tipperary Ireland
I went and picked up Sam Walton at the Springfield MO airport when he came to town to visit a grocery store I worked for. He was “Thinking About” putting grocery stores in his Wal-Marts! LOL man do I wish i would have invested some money then!!!
👍😎👍 I hope The Mrs had a good birthday. You might find The book by Sam Walton (Sam Walton made in America) was a pretty good read. There's a full audiobook here on UA-cam if interested.
Our daughter with her husband and three adult children are in Calgary, Alberta right now. They are from Oklahoma in Lawton. I asked my daughter if she had ever heard of Kingfisher, OK. Of course she had. It was a nice touch for you to mention that.
So sad about the fire in Ruidoso. Thoughts with the families that lost everything including those that lost loved ones. I like driving through their when going between Clovis and Tucson.
Good morning Mr Dan, I was stationed at Clovis NM for 5 years late 70’s early 80’s. Went to Ruidoso and Alamogordo many times. Thanks for taking us along with you and Baile! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🫡
Good morning Dan. The drive to clovis is a favorite of mine. Inn of the Gods or Cooks in clovis for breakfast. Your tool box fits in that spot nice. Doesn't look like an afterthought. And I agree, it's hard to get screwed back into the seat after a long time at home. Be safe
Glad to see you back. I like to follow you on a map, so I appreciate when you tell where you are and what hiway you are taking to the next place. Thanks for bringing us along. Safe travels.
Love you're videos Dan. The southwestern scenery is so beautiful and different from here in southern Ontario. Thanks from an old trucking family. Eric Dunford
Used to enjoy stopping at that truck stop in Alamogordo. Really nice restrooms and shower. Walked over to Lowes and purchased a portable air conditioner after the hvac failed. Ended up returning it the next day(not enough inverter power). Retired otr now. Thought I was going to rv between Tularosa and Alamogordo but too many fires in NM.
+ 3 pieces 1X8 ( 1 foot long ) and some screws screwed to that block of wood standing up ; one to the front of that 2X4 and 2 one to each side of the block , think fences , for the piece of mind ; nothing is sliding off … especially if you double the front piece of fence to create a channel for the strap to run through 🤪🌹
Walmart is based out of Bentonville Arkansas, not Blytheville. The company was a lot better company when he was alive. I would love to hear his opinion of what the company is today compared to his vision.
I feel the same way retired but after watching a few videos on how drivers get treated out there I am glad I am off the road. Truck stops that serve crap food, paid parking, not enough places to park and how drivers get treated now adays. Glad I am retired from all of that. Years ago drivers had something in common and we respected each other now it’s every man for him self. Sad state of affairs..
looking good DAN , I understand the blocking to hold the equipment up. but what if you turn it long ways instead of sideways , Because sometimes when I block my trailer landing gear I turn them long ways instead of sideways in case it slides, You're exactly right , trucking's all bad today dan a bunch of pigs for truck drivers, Definitely little Bailey She's not yapping or anything she just laid back 😂 For sure interstate no good , The step box looks good on your truck dan , Amorillo buy morning 😂 I don't see how willie made it big in music very boring person to me, The back roads are the best dan, Up over here in the Northwest It's going to be 104 to 112 degrees all week 😮 Drink a lot of water Dan take care of yourself
When I go to K.C. out of Az I run up to 40 through Payson and Heber. From I 40 Itake US54 to Pratt Ka. Then Ka61 to US 5O and over to Emporia Ka. Then up I-35 to K.C. I like the tool box. Is that a Peterbilt srep box or after market? The Peterbilt boxes are wicked expensive. Somebody makes boxes just like for much less but I can't remember who. I would like to get one also.

Are the races running in ruidoso? I really like that place.

Drive your nails in at opposing angles (clinch nail) or better...use screws. Have a safe trip and pet Bailey for me.
Thanks Dan, Teresa and Bailey.

I agree. The South-West is beautiful but the scenery, vegetation and geology are so totally different from our area it's a learning experience.
Dan way to ease back into the work scene by staying off those major freeways!!

👍
Thanks for the ride Dan. Have a safe trip you two!
That box turned out nice on the right side. It might help the fuel mileage just slightly.
I normally pull a hopper, but this week i pulled my step deck loaded with precast.
Drop and hook 8 times a day and it kicked my ass.
Welcome back to work! Keep cool.
