- Shed organisation. This week we are starting to setup the RACKIT shelving with some off my tools. I also install lighting to help light it all up.
The shelving is from RACKIT. www.rack-it.com.au
Checkout my earlier shed remodel videos for how I put together the shelving, put down the epoxy floor, wall insulation and ceiling install:

UK spark here, just found ur channel and love the vids, specially the packout ones.
Cheers Grant. Gotta love the packout. Wanna send over some black packout 😂👌
This gives me so many ideas for the garage. Great system. Live the video
You inspired me to reorganize my pegboard! Looks great!
Ahhh that answered my query from a previous video, you left the wood up there for downlights.. gotcha. Cool videos, keep em coming.
No worries mate. Cheers for watching. 👍
HI Matt just come across your channel great video I've spent half the day watching your youtube videos. Just had a new knee last week so plenty of time to waste on youtube. Makita is my platform last 35 years as a sparky no problems at all love them. Total tools had a bargain on the bosch 18v and 12v pro version 3 years ago great tools as well no problems. Keep the videos coming I'll be watching. Steve Tas.
Cheers for the feedback Steve. My previous kit was makita, loved it. I’m keen as to grab a newer makita setup.
I’ve also heard good things about the Bosch. I’m not to sure about the range though.
Nice job mate!
Thanks mate 👍
Looks awesome Matt 👍 I'm not going to lie - I'm abit jealous 😂
Cheers mate. Fingers crossed I can keep it tidy
My makita 40v circ saw, works like a dream
Good to hear mate. I’m keen as to try it out. 🍻
Good stuff Matt!
Cheers mate.
Looking great mate.
Cheers mate. 🍻
I like the $15 over the $50. I am on a tight budget so I like your thinking
Hey mate. Great video. Please do more like this, I love these videos.
Cheers mate. A lot more like this coming.
Top job mate !
Cheers Owen👍🍻
wow!! amazing set up. 👏 👌
Nice! I liked how you used those clips for the Rack it shelf - I didn't know they fit I ended buying Racket hooks ...
Awesome channel mate. Just stumbled upon your house Reno video. Love the vids, great channel.
WA Sparkie here.
One Life, One Search,
Shane
Cheers shane! How’s sparky life in WA at the moment? Always wanted to come over and see the place. I’m in brisbane
@@AddictedtoTools WA commercial and domestic is hectic. I'm pretty happy I am no longer in that world.
I work on Wind Turbines. Aaaaand that is pretty full as well.
Great job!
Top stuff in this video, definitely hit me right in my love of tools.
Just an idea, try throwing those magnetic buttons on the back of the pegboard and hopefully that'll mean it uses that strong side of the magnet on the front.
Keep up the top stuff mate.
I like that idea james. I’ll give that a go on the next setup👌
I have some magnetic strips almost identical to the ones you have there. I removed the paper on one of them and realised quickly that it's all that was keepin the magnets from coming out. Also the magnets are very brittle so could be good to put some tape back over them to stop them chipping over time.
Cheers for the advice Trevor. I might see if I can make something up.
Looks awesome just needs a nice work bench top on it would really finish it off
Mate, I only thought about that the other day. I’ll have to look more into something like that in the future👌
Another great video mate.
Don’t go too nuts on the wall packout just yet. Not sure if you’ve seen the new Milwaukee packout workshop wall, if you can wait 9 years for them to come to Australia, they’ll be perfect for that wall.
Looks great 👍
I just got tools scattered everywhere, can’t find something have to go out and buy another one
😂 sounds like myself usually. The shelving looks good at the moment. Wait a week after working with it and we will see if it’s still tidy
@@AddictedtoTools yeah I’ll stay tuned
@@AddictedtoTools reckon the 3 💡 has the right balance 4 might looked bit crowded
@@AddictedtoTools what do think of the fluke pliers ?
How to you aussies know what each other are talking about when you say “bits and pieces” when you described “bits and pieces” as like 10 different things 😂😂
AMAZING!
“Everybody has to start somewhere”. Its easy to forget ill admit..
I’m not sure if I follow sorry mate
@@AddictedtoTools No disrespect Mate, I just chuckled seeing all your pliers hung up neatly in a little row! After you use all your stuff for a while you learn stuff that you didn’t know that you don’t know currently, I sure have! I also hang many of my most commonly used hand tools but not over my work bench. Constantly reaching over your work to retrieve and hang everything can lead to straining muscle or injuring your back. Plenty of other reasons as well, like bumping your elbow on whatever your working on at the bench knocking it over and scattering parts into every corner of your shop. I found that hanging them on my right side works well for me and you will optimize your layout overtime. It’s a never ending process! Anyway, great informative video and I think you have a clean little setup as well as some good ideas! So keep up the great work and never stop applying what all you learn…
Get the magnet buttons with the hooks on them easier to pull off and have 2 uses
Bro, I had thus same issue with my fatmax tape measure.
I had one that got handed down to me from a family member it was like 10 -15 years old. I lost it 🤦♂️ brought the exact same one and hated it. I was so disappointed aha
So disappointing! I loved my last couple. Why change something that was good.
Ohh and your circular saw, does that seem to work sometimes and not other times. I've had that issue with mine.
We wanna see the wiring!!! For us apprentice electricians
You’ll learn during the years
I wish I could. I’ve drawn a line when it comes to certain electrical work. It’s a hard topic tackle.
Nice Vid as always Matty, the Fatmax tapes changed over about 4 years ago and are now crap , try the Milwaukee Tapes out they go pretty good
I'm running a Makita 36V Circ and it cuts like butter but it's bulky as, also got a Hikoki 36V (18 not worth it) and it goes pretty good too, the Hikoki 36V impact is well worth a look too 🍻🛠️⚡
Cheers mate. It’s a shame about the fatmax. It’s been years since I owned the silver one.
I’m keen to try out some other circ saws. Cheers for the feedback on them. I’m keen as to try some more makita and hikoki. I’ve heard good things about the triple impact hikoki👌
Respect for not showing the wiring, see to many diy jobs as it is hahah
Yeah it’s a fine line when it comes to that stuff. I just rather not show it. 🍻
@@AddictedtoTools yeah that’s it mate I wouldn’t show it either, either learn off your tradie if you’re an apprentice or get a fkn sparky 😅
@@Downfallss well said mate, it makes my blood boil seeing all the diy guys on UA-cam who clearly aren't sparkies trying to justify doing their own electrical work
@@johnlennon1151 yeah same here mate, the old diy deta warriors who say sparkys are to expensive 🤦♂️ does my head in
Lol really? I mean i went school electronics and electrician blueprints but what's the secret? That you shouldn't daisy chain leds? Did i just give up the secret lol sorry if i did just curious
Hey mate, what size are the holes in the shelf wall?
What are the dimensions of the entire rack?
You need pliers not enough
😂😂 any recommendations?
The thing is anyone can goto a hardware store buy a roll of tps, conduit, gpos put it together then call a real rec to connect it to the mains. Nah not on my watch
Pretty much happens with all trades.
Buying a drill and circ saw doesn’t make them a carpenter either.
Good video .why don’t you like doing electrical on UA-cam
Hey man I do air conditioning if your interested let me know I’ll look after ya
Cheers mate. I’ll let you know👍
