I would never dare gather & display all the tools with my wife in the same time zone. Risky stuff right there.
😂😂
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@@AddictedtoTools I hope your tools are documented and insured.
Yep, that’s what this video was for 👍
@@volatilememory9338 😂 for everyone to see right here lol
He has single handedley kept Milwaukie in business for years.
Hes kept his boss rich too.
Aha I love these comments from ignorance 👍
just pays to think how much income that 38k investment has earnt you thusfar. by far worth it any day. and thats not even counting the years to come@@AddictedtoTools
@@AddictedtoTools exactly, one $500 tool has given me 10 $500 jobs... tools are some of the best investments you can do with immediate payoffs.
I loved the short version of this video. $968...
I even showed my wife that one. She chuckled. And then stopped. And looked at me. ...
😂😂
That is one big problem you got yourself there lad 😂
I think we all need to do this , even just for the insurance purposes
I have to document all of my tools annually, both at home and work, for insurance purposes. It can be eye-opening for sure.
Yep. I do the same. Write down serial and model numbers. Then take pictures of everything and it’s contents.
Same
I have to do this every year ,take toold and equipment inventory
Own a business and you will
Thank you for this. Although my career(s) has been costly from a tool purchasing standpoint. I absolutely love house building, remodeling and building decks. But my other love is being a automotive Tech. I got my ASE Certification in 87 but had been state certified for a few years prior to that. Attended MCI for auto mechanics but was working at shops since 77.
I have actually went back and forth between the two and did building on the side while working at dealerships as a Tech.
I said all that just to give you a time line and why I suspect it is around the 130-150 k mark. Buying tools from Snap On, Matco and Mac plus odds and ends plus Boxes.
Buying more building tools than I care to think about. Of course as technology improves you upgrade. From corded to Battery powered.
Sorry about the long and winded text.
Stay Strong brothers.
It's amazing to add up all of your assets to figure your net worth. Stuff adds up quick! You also forgot the $50k vehicle, I would count that as a tool as well, since you couldn't do your job without it
bro literally my friends call me crazy for being addicted to tools as you! Especially screwdrivers. I finally found someone same as me!!
I just love to see another tool obsessed dude! also love the packout!
You’ve come to the right place Dennis. Definitely obsessed😂 👍
Man, and I thought I was addicted to tools. I've just got roughly 4k American in tools. However, there's always room for more! Greetings from Oklahoma bud!
Hey chase. There’s always room for more😂👌 great to meet other tool fans from around the world. I hope your doing well in Oklahoma 🍻
It adds up sooooo fast. You have a great tool collection, very handy.
One Life, One Search,
Shane
Crazy some mechaincs I work with drop 40k in a box that don't even make you any more let alone the 20k in tools you need as a heavy truck mechainc
My wife knows I have a great many tools. My professional hand tools are worth a fortune, and many cannot be purchased any more because the manufacturers no longer exist. These are very high quality, many purchased overseas in various countries since 1974. My 1/4 drive Bonney flex sockets are around $40 each socket replacement cost (only Snap-On available). My aviation trade tools are around $20,000 but are all SAE sizes (no metric on western aircraft). My automotive workshop tools are around $53,000. My problem, insurance costs for them all.
Those packout trays I have used those as crawl trays for crawling under the house to make repairs under a house while keeping my tools from getting jammed up with dirt
23:33, in the US we call them end cutter/precision, and as another viewer pointed out the Knipex are for single use hose clamps Oetiker brand. 24:17 cartridge/shower valve wrenches in the US. 25:12 is a water valve key, use them on hose bibs and different kinds of water angle stops under the lav/sink.
Make a slide out/pull out vertical shelving system for those black trays... just a tall box with side runners. Then you can still pull out tools whilst stationery or slide out to take it with you
Not a bad idea mate. 👍
I just subscribed, looking forward to more tool videos.
Stay Strong brothers
The knipex pliers you found at 23:33 are for one time use hose clamp crimping. And removing.
just read the details, 15 years in yeah? I've been a sparky for just a wee bit longer, 17 years in it. I inventoried my tools for insurance reasons. It's crazy when you start getting to real specific meters, calibrators, and communicators. you start inventorying things that cost $3000-$6000 per tool...then you realize when you leave this world your kids who have no idea about this stuff will probably sell it for peanuts at an estate sale
Loved the overview. Cheers mate
Love the video, going to have to do one myself.
Nice load out and damn, tools are expensive over there..
Your tools are good
Your lawn is great
Cheers mate. Love a good lawn 👌
The casual quick use of the stud finder on himself 😂
Awesome vid, keen to see the Fujiya vid
Impressive.Congratulations friend
wow. that`s alot of awesome tools :)
Funny how we remember so well how much we spent on each tool, yet forget our anniversary. 😆🤣
That's because we only remember the things that are actually important.
This would have been a great video around the time that the University Professor was complaining about having to buy his own chock to teach with.
the weird knipex pliers are for crimping ear clamps, it's a type of clamp used on rubber hoses
Ahhh that makes sense. Cheers for the info mate 👌👍
That’s a great start! 😵💫
As a tool addicted carpenter, this is my kind of video lol. I don't have the time or the space to consolidate everything I own into one place though ha
It’s a massive pain the ass to lay it all out😂 good to see another person with the tool addiction though 🍻
One of my loves and careers is building. I fully understand brother it is definitely a addiction. Of course as Technology improves you buy the upgraded new and improved.
Not to mention the 18 ft inclosed trailer. Probably spent 5k in ladders over the 40 plus years.
@@AddictedtoTools is it ok for a 14yr old to be enjoying this? Lol I have a addiction too 🔩🪛
100% mate. It started at your age for myself 😂👌👍
@@carvidz7504
Yes it is, most of us that are into building or wood working started at a very early age. If your dad is into wood working or building things then it just becomes natural to feel connected to wood. I honestly love building and enjoy working in that field.
Even though I got my ASE Certification in 87 for auto mechanics and made a good living doing that. I took breaks from that career to build houses and do remodeling.
It gets very expensive when you have two loves for a career choice. But with building it is special because at the end you can look at what you accomplished and feel proud.
First rule of building ( actually anything)
If you don't have time to do it right the first time, where will find the time to do it a second time.
Second rule. Your name is on everything you do. Do it with pride, do it like this is what you will be judged on.
I do not building fast but I can promise that it is the absolute best it can be. I was blessed to have a mentor that built homes to such a high standard he had a 4 year waiting list. We never used a air nailer, he always felt that a good carpenter didn't need one.
Good luck in your future endeavors.
Edit to add. Buy good quality tools. I started using Douglas hammers and still do. Although they stopped production years ago they have since started making them again.
Buy the very best tool that you can afford and take care of them and they will last. I had to save up for my first good hammer. Alot of builders use the TI hammers. I have held them but they felt odd to me. To light feeling on the head but many swear by them. Then again, I'm a older carpenter and set in my ways on certain things.
Nice video want to have something like this Someday I will have everything.
27:40 Man I actually had to do a double take there because I thought that was actually your wife. That was some great acting Matt. 😂😂
😂👍
So you got all that for the price of a big snap on box and a set of sockets that's pretty darn good lol
😂 that’s about right
I use those little black holders
Lol I guessed 40k on the shorts version of this. Mint 👌🏽
Holy Christ, Milwaukee tools are almost twice as expensive wherever you are as they are in the United States
He is saying the prices in Australian dollars which if ur scalp correctly is about twice American prices
Im 10 mins in and I already know I guessed low, you have 50% more than me - make me worried about my own totals 😂😂
😂 it adds up quick.
I done this awhile back ,wrote everything down with estimated cost and put it the safe for insurance and my wife just in case I should die.
Also have a video of everything I own. Living in tornado alley you never know!
I noticed you don’t have any Velocity pro gear tool bags mate ! Definitely worth adding to your collection 👍🏴🏴
I have used the tool at 23:31 for crimping Oetikers when I was working for the cola companies.
You're on the money with the "butt phone" it's the short version of Buttinski, which means they could use it to "butt in" on phone calls.
And the Panduit cable straightener is called a cable comb, so you can comb the cables out nice and straight 😉
Get the black Panthers with red handles. They're not much more but heaps better.
When I saw the video I thought you had so much, I'm only 25 and It made me realize how many bloody tools I have too, just spread out well! We have very different tools tho! I'm a boilermaker turn Telco rigger and have all the tools for both!
Any estimate on how much you've spent?
Need to get yourself a designated work van buddy. No back seats, no windows in back so you can have plenty of shelf and hanger room.
black totes are good for bulk screw storage, everyone on residential used to use them. Now im not sure
OMG WHAT DO YOU DO? I thought I had way to many tools but you can open a Home Depot in your area.
wiha multi grips from total tools is the best bang for your buck! $90 for a 3 pack never let me down
Bloody Sparkies I tell ya what 😅 think my misso would kill me hahaha, also I run the Makita 40v gear, real quality tools good power etc but dragging around the kit all day is heavy asf, I might have to invest in those makita makpaks. Love the videos bro
How have you found the 40v gear? I’m really wanting to get onto the platform. Almost $1000 for the 2 drills and 2 batteries though. 💰💰
@@AddictedtoTools its really good, powerful as and the batteries last ages. I do alot of fencing and general construction and it rips through all the hardwood really well. Got the 40v drop saw a month ago and it's been unreal. But yeh the cost is up there haha
I have those same Knipex cutters except without the hole in the middle. Like you, I have no idea where I got them
Oh thanks God I'm not the only one with this kind of addiction
I mean when you have multiple $200 crates...
It adds up so fast when you actually think about all the little stuff. There'd be $15k in tools on my ute and I don't even have a compressor or air tools anymore
You just need a wall peg board mate... Watching you pick tools from nooks and boxes trigger my OCD 😅
It adds up quick. the most expensive thing is time though, which garbage tools waste. 37k over ten years is only $10/day. Invest early in what you really need.
Next time I worry I might have too many tools...! 👍😂
I'm so fucking jealous, that's so goddamn cheap!
I'm a welder and gathering tools makes me smile until I get to pay them my stomach feels weird cause I just dropped $3k on something cheap AF
Hey just found you channel and love it great videos you got my sub!
Do you know if it's possibleto attach your veto bags to your Milwaukee packout system?
Cheers Jarrad. I tried attaching the veto a few ways but they all involved glue or adhesives as I didn’t want to put holes or screws through it. There’s no good adhesives that will stick to the veto plastic. I was told this by someone that works with the material. So the only way I’ve seen it done properly is with rivets through the bag onto stealthmounts packout feet.
I have to do an inventory and video for my insurance company I have 6 enclosed trailers that are 24 feet long loaded with construction, carpentry tools most have the same tools in them and 2 step vans 22 feet long loaded with tools for HVAC AND PLUMBING tools and supplies.. I just wish Milwaukee and DeWalt would have a program to trade old tools in for new updated tools
23.27 - tile nips for when you need to shave an edge laying tile.
I live in the USA and had 2 pair of that 3248 Channellock posi grip 1000v combination pliers stolen and can't find them to buy anywhere in the USA
Yeew!! Cheers Matt 🤙 So does your Mrs really know how much you have spent? 🤣
Aha na not yet. She won’t watch this fortunately.
@@AddictedtoTools Sure the title wont entice her? 😂🤣
Make sure to send me your postal details mate.

I live in America and I was like damn he’s Getting ripped off for his tools. Then I was like oh duh Australia.
Lol
Wow
He gave a way some bit holders
Such a generous chappy
😅😅😅
This guy is what Australians call " a tight arse"
Hey mark. How is it that I’m a tight arse for giving something away? Cheers
What can I say but wow you must spend more time in tool shop than at work!!
Whys that mate?
@26.00 it's a cable comb haha do Data all the time haven't heard it be anything else before
That’s the one! I haven’t used one in years. Thanks for the reminder legend👌
Take a look at the luftkin niteeyes again. They’re revamped
Yes.
heupar review please cheers shane
if everyone that viewed this video donated $1 we can pay for all his tools
Milwaukee makes tool chests as well. Do they sell them in Australia?
Yeah they do mate.
Don’t…. You will never have enough….
Great video mate, so keen for the packout joey. Any chance I can go in with ya?
Definitely. I may do a whole video on it so that I can get a good list. I know there’s a fair few people that want the gear. Alex from Packible was trying to get gear over here.
@@AddictedtoTools legend! Ill keep an eye out!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Машину нужно по-больше!
How many pliers do you need bro
That'd be grear if Milwaukee would pay you to promote their tools!
Bro you get a small Bunnings tool shop going just in your shed, we all know there’s over 38k worth easy
I added up what I had in my truck and it was a crack over 27k usd. Than I got a big van and that number was almost 33k.if I brought my shed into it. Let's just say double it and I give most of my old stuff away
Dam you aint muckin around
Hey where are you situated by chance? I work in a Industrial Supplies store and can get you new Black Panthers for cheap
I have around 11k euros worth of tools. I use them just for hobby, house maintenance andt diy stuff. My only wish if I die is that my wife won't sell my tools with the amount of money I told her they cost (around 2k euros).
would take me weeks to do that XD
At 23:58 we call those telephone test set, lineman’s test set, or butt set.
Am i going excessive, i already got 2 multimeters 1 clamp meter and a mega start of second year.
Aha yeah that sounds like you may have the addiction 😂
I think this guy actually might be sick. No one needs quadruple sets of tools. Let alone 10-15 pack out tool boxes.
Hey alex, maybe you missed the name of my channel👍
The wife - "clean up all your tools, its everywhere! Instead of making a mess with your videos why don't you make a video of you cleaning all your tools!". Husband - "great idea! Thanks!" Wife- face palm. Haha! Great video!
Hey mate this video is part of a series that is remodelling my shed then reorganising my tools 👍
im from the philippines, malabon city, can i have an old tools....you have so many tools.
Looking for the funny version of this where his wife walks in and he starts lying about the prices to make it seem cheaper. Having trouble finding it.
I'm thinking you spend more being in Australia vs me actually living in Milwaukee where Milwaukee is made.
Sure do. Our pricing is crazy
38k
Milwaukee is gonna take all my kids college money 🤣… they better plan on vocational school is all I can tell them 🤷🏻♂️. I purchased my first Milwaukee tool about two months ago and I’m already $3k + and growing any chance I get cause I’m a damn addict 🤣.
Use caution!
My tool addiction started decades ago now it takes a 4k ft building to house most of them...
Do you do some kind of construction work for your main or side job? A whole building for all your tools sounds glorious
LOL Fluke 117 $440. Damn thats crazy. Thats one of the low end Fluke made in China meters. used to be able to pick those up at every hardware store in the US for around $130-$150
A fluke 117 is £235 in the uk which is 300 USD or 450 AUD.
I've had multiple 117s over the years but the cheapest I've ever bought one was £190 which is 241 USD.
The 114 and 115 have always been considerable cheaper than the 116 and 117.
The US list price from fluke is over $250 so your claim of $130 is nonsense.
Also another plier showdown for stripping
38k 😳
if you sold them at a auction you be lucky to get eight thousand crazy
For most of the gear I would agree. The packout keeps its price luckily though. Who knows for how long though.
So what’s the total amount
Butt phone is short for Buttinski. Got its name for the old word Buttinsky, meaning a person who likes to interrupt or butt in.
🎶I have 30 thousand dollars in credit card debt! When they call me I say I can't pay it back yet! Credit card debt! 🎵
How does all ur gear still look brand new looks like u never dropped a pair of those pliers
But to be fair my main box cost £6250 ukp dread to add. Up all the other snap on and blue point and facom and….
$38,037?! Holy hell bro!! 🤣 I feel that. I can send you some Fat Maxx in feet not meters
