I always: 1 lower 2 tune (FI) & HF intake w/K&N 3 exhaust w/HF cats (AWE Switchpath turboback & Vibrant resonators to kill drone 4 add my 12" Polk Audio Pro series subs with 1000 watt amp & bass knob Had above on my 15 MK7 GOLF R manual. Unitronic tuned, Shift kit, stage 2 clutch pack/pressure plate . Slammed BC coilovers strut braces F/R. Had to sell sadly, blew my ankle out no more clutch. Got mine today Justin and thanks! Seems as tho throttle response is better and the seat of the pants feeling is great. What I immediately noticed is the burbles letting off the exhaust. I mean the burbles have really increased. When you let off the accelerator OMG it sounds amazing! To have this as a permanent filter is great. I too also had some dried up leaves inside, about the same amount as you. I did a quick vac to clean things up and had to wonder if this was pre-screen entry or afterward. Now to get the engine light harness installed. Thanks again!
It adds a slight whistle sound too. I've had one on my car for 3 months. I'm waiting for the AFE Track series Carbon fiber cold air intake system w/pro 5r filters.
Just ordered mine Justin..... I’ve always ran an aftermarket CAI by Cold Air Inductions on my SS’s and you got the complete air box which looked great under the hood. We’ll see how this does and if allowing better air flow and upping the ponies a smidge, it’s a plus. Next to review that harness for the lights. In the mailer too long. Great content as always!

Your AWE Track Exhaust sounds great. Just asked you 6/1/2022 or was it 5/31/2022 which AWE Exhaust would you recommend? The Track you said might be a “Highway Drone” situation and therefore thought the Tour Exhaust would be a better recommendation. Really tough decision after hearing that Cold Start. Thanks for the advice, if I feel up to it health wise, I would like to make it to Carlisle this year!

HI Justin. Great video as always. Can you tell the Attack Blue team to rotate the emblem on the air filter unit so when installed, the "Attack Blue" lettering is right side up. It's upside down after you installed it and just looks odd.

Just ordered and replaced my air filter with the attack blue and now my fan comes on immediately when I start the car (it usually would come on after driving awhile on a hot day). Is there a reset somewhere or is this just a coincidence. FYI- I did not unplug anything during install. Thanks
If a person is concerned about warranty and the affects they really should get with the tech and/or service manager and question them. If the tech is anti aftermarket stuff they will red flag the vehicle, a service manager can override the red flag if he's a fan of aftermarket stuff. If a person is concerned with the responses from the dealership, the safest way around this would be to put the stock filter back in before going into the dealership. If a person doesn't care then it's open season. Been there dealt with this stuff since 1968, my current Dmax diesel is fully deleted my dealer knows this and will do warranty work on everything except for the drive train.
Could you please address whether or not changing to this filter will void the warranty on the car? I am about 90% Rick Conti stated that not using AC delco filters will void warranty.
It's actually easier to change this out than it is on the C7 (Z06/ZR1) in my opinion. My ZR1 is a real bear to change the air filter on because of all the stuff that has to come off first.

A paper Filter is always better for the engine in long term, when replaced as needed. The Mass air flow sensor will clog up ,at some point, and give false information, reducing the power

I don't think it is truly a "forever" air filter...I recall reading...it is recommended to change out after 50K miles. Never the less...I bought in to all the hype and got one...I just haven't got around to installing it.
I haven't seen that recommendation. Do you remember where you saw that? Assuming it is true, it's still going to last longer than the stock filter which is recommended to be changed every year.

I did a ported throttle body with the blue filter. What a bugger it was to install. Atleast mine was. Very tight fit. But I like it!!

lol believe it or not, that has been fixed since they sent me this. This was one of the first ones to be made but that was corrected right after mine.

Absolutely not. An air filter/air intake will never void your warranty.

It filters better than the paper filter. Nano fiber filters down to the sub micron.

FYI any aftermarket airfilter can and will void your warranty if there's any signs of damage related to the air intake, trust me 👍
