I have rheumatoid arthritis and started receiving infusions of a new med over the summer. I'd never had infusions before and I'll admit the thought was a bit intimidating. I know our diseases are different and we receive different meds, but please tell Landon it was so lovely to watch his journey with the infusions and his bravery helped ME, a 54yo woman, be brave too!! In life we never know who is watching and sometimes we're helping others just by going about our own lives and we get to be an inspiration to someone else! :)

Here is my Chili recipe (lol) one pack mcCormick chili seasoning, one can pinto beans, one can dark red kidney beans, one jar Paul Newmans Salsa, one can dice tomatoes that has basil, garlic and onion added. One pound ground beef cooked and drained, sweet yellow and sweet orange peppers chopped. add all ingredients to large pot, adding enough water to simmer one hour starting on High then turn down to med Low. Serve with cornbread, top with sour cream. Sometimes I put the finished chili in a 9x13 casserole dish and pour prepared cornbread batter over chili and bake according to cornbread package. So Good!

I make same ingredients as you with the onion & green pepper, Chili seasoning, then I add 1/2 packet of Taco seasoning to the pot of Chili. I loved the picnic idea. Or a couple moms maybe share a car or mini van if they only have a few kids between them. What fun it would be to garage camp in a mini van😁 again with one or two kids and at least one adult. If you have an electric grill or griddle you could plug it in a garage socket and roast hot dogs etc.use your imagination. I have taken the third seat out of our Yukon and a small tent would fit and sleep at least 3-4 people now, depending on their size. Have fun👍🏻🥰

I use V-8 juice in my chili, Here in Kentucky they make spaghetti chili, noodles, very little hamburger and chili beans. It's different and your kids might like it.

I make the same thing but in the south we call it cornbread casserole haha. It really is so so good. One of my favorites and we make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also I loved the car movie outing it was so simple but fun and a great change up for the kiddos. Great idea.

A little butter and some brown sugar, in the bottom of a square cake pan, then the drained canned peaches, then the mix, make and use just what it says on the box, pour over peaches, and bake on what and how long the box says. Rinse the bean and tomato cans with water to add to your chili next time also keep some small cans of tomato paste in you cupboard...catsup is good to mix with your tomatoes and sauce to sweeten in homemade vegetable soup...

Down in the lower states your corn pudding is known as a corn casserole. Many years ago the recipe was on the back of the small jiffy mix box. Had to laugh when you didn't have tomato sauce and used some ketchup as I had to do the same last week. Glad you put up this video as it reminded me to put the sauce on my grocery list.🙂

Lately we’ve been having more problems with Walmart than usual. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt for now, I know they’re short-handed. They can only do so much, but I’m ready for “normal” grocery shopping to come back.

I have an embarrassing confession... Alaska born and raised and I still have never been to the North Pole yet! Yikes, right?! Is Walmart+ available up there now? I was hesitant on signing up but it has been so convenient getting groceries delivered directly to me. You always share the best recipes. Totally adding that chili packet to my next Fred Meyer run!
Next time use some beef broth, if you have it, instead of water, in your chili. That’s what I use in my chili recipe all the time. Also, any soup that calls for the addition of water, I usually sub chicken or beef broth. It really adds richness to your soup! Blessings 🙏

Jessica. I use Something called Chilli Magic. It comes in a can. It has everything you need to make chilli but I add diced tomatoes. and kidney beans ( Yes Bushes) and a package of chilli mix . It is SO GOOD. You are such a great mom to take your kids to the Santa Claus house and have lunch and a movie. Great idea. Hope you all are doing well
Why not campout in your living room, get a stocking put a tennis ball, let fall to the foot of the stocking. Line water bottles on floor, put stocking and have fun kocking the bottles, down by swing the ball in the stocking
I've been putting corn in cornbread mix for years. I didn't know it had a name. I make it into muffins. I put a little pat of butter in each muffin tin and put it in the oven for a couple of minutes so it can melt before I add the dough. I enjoy the cooking vlogs from Jan Creson in North Carolina. Canned tomato soup diluted with water is what I use for chili, plus seasonings, I think that would have worked for you with needing more liquid.

I understand the not not going out but being extremely cautious. My daughter is doing dialysis right now. She will soon be on the list for a kidney transplant. We are more than careful with where we go and who we are around. Good luck, Landon!!

Jessica. I use Something called Chilli Magic. It comes in a can. It has everything you need to make chilli but I add diced tomatoes. and kidney beans ( Yes Bushes) and a package of chilli mix . It is SO GOOD. You are such a great mom to take your kids to the Santa Claus house and have lunch and a movie. Great idea. Hope you all are doing well
Why not campout in your living room, get a stocking put a tennis ball, let fall to the foot of the stocking. Line water bottles on floor, put stocking and have fun kocking the bottles, down by swing the ball in the stocking

I've been putting corn in cornbread mix for years. I didn't know it had a name. I make it into muffins. I put a little pat of butter in each muffin tin and put it in the oven for a couple of minutes so it can melt before I add the dough. I enjoy the cooking vlogs from Jan Creson in North Carolina.
