A new Violett Vlogs video?! How could this day get any better!!
By going to the LEGGLIFE (two G's) channel and subscribing!
I love watching you. You live life and all real and I appreciate you. You are the kind of person I love to watch. I also love Jamerill Stewart and Modern Homestead for the same reason
Oh my goodness! It’s sooo beautiful THE SNOW!!!!!!!
It is still in the 90s here!!!! 🤦🏻♀️🤣
Seriously you are probably the only vlogger who really makes me laugh out loud mostly laughing with you! Love your laughter because Lord knows we all need a lot more of it!
Cast iron is just about all I use. (I use stainless steel pans too). Heat the pan some and then put your steaks, burgers, bacon, eggs…whatever you are cooking. Add a bit of butter or avacado oil as you cook, medium heat. Take your time to cook. Flip the steak over when it naturally releases from the pan as you cook. I wash my pan in the sink, scrubbing it out. Dry pan with paper towel or cloth towel. Place pan on burner and heat on low until any water is dried off. Take off heat. Take a paper towel and put a dollup of crisco on it and wipe down the pan insides to reseason pan, keep it from rusting and it’s pretty. I have a glass top stove and have no problems with the pans.
Fun vid! Your positivity keeps me coming back. Ty!
There is nothing like a good coffee spot!!!
I love all your driving and drown footage. It's like I am sitting next to you on a trip. Don't apologise for grocery shopping. You have a family that has to eat. Stocking up is the best way to keep them fed. I love to see what is popular in other states and I get meal ideas for myself.👍
You are awesome. Nice to share the chaos.
The trick to cast iron steaks is to get the pan Screaming Hot before putting the steaks in. Don't forget to sear the sides of the steaks to help them cook inside (if you like them more done.) I've started putting my cast iron pan on the grill outside because searing steaks is smokey business!
Loved the video!! Always fun to watch and I always smile!
I love it Violett❤️...your enthusiasm and exciting demeanor brings your videos to life!!! I just discovered you on UA-cam and am "binge watching" because I love your content and your "real life, raw" nature... Alaska is so beautiful and I look forward to everything you share!! Thank you for being here Violett and sharing your life with us!! Xoxo❤️☺️
Thank you so much Susan! That is so kind of you 😭😭
I think you're right. Seems like when you meet her, you would just start smiling, hard!
Still 95 here in Phoenix! I’m jealous!!!
Wow!Snow!❄️⛄️Usually snow doesn’t start falling here in North Carolina until 🥶 winter.December into January. If then.
In Indiana,we are still in the 70's.Hi Violett. Its almost Oct,So we are in the xmas mood(Xmas catalogs in the mail.)
Cast iron skillets are the best. For steak try just searing them on very high heat on both side and then finish in the oven. Then it has that nice crisp but is still cooked.
That is a really cute idea for Christmas gifts. Thanks for sharing.
I look forward to your vlogs💖 You are the sweetest person and if I were there in Alaska you would be my friend for life. Thank you for the long distance friendship😁It works great❣ Have a Blessed rest of your week💝
Don’t worry about talking on the phone in public, everybody FaceTimes anymore so they think your talking to your kids, friends etc 👍🏻🥰 do not use soap on cast iron when cleaning. Get you tap water as hot as possible and heat the skillet until hot, carefully put skillet in the sink filling it with the very HOT water and let the steam clean it. There are stainless steel cleaning scrubs for cast iron🥰👍🏻
Really enjoyed your video. Had me smiling and laughing 🤣😆. Can't wait for the new one. Love from the island of Guam 🌴💖🌴
I enjoy Violett Blogs
It is has been around 90 degrees here in the south.
Snow in September
Winter has come early for Alaska!!
You will enjoy skillet In your cast iron skillet cook bacon or sausage to season it to clean it fried potatoes to do a good clean use salt
Oh I don't have IG. So am glad u have a channel. This was aa fun day! U deserve me time! Wow the scenery was beautiful. Loved u laughed so much! The butcher shop was amazing 👏 I always wondered what it's like to live in Alaska. Wow your so busy. Groceries yum! Yes steaks intimidates me as well.souunds like a great meal.
My wife and just found your channel/ blog. We can’t wait to move back this summer. Until then we’ll have to live through you, lol.
Hope your move goes smoothly! ❤️
I absolutely love your videos. I usually have trouble watching a 10 minute video from other people... I usually have to watch it in bits and pieces lol. I just watched your whole 30 minutes video without even being aware of the time!
Loved "hanging out" with you today! You definitely liven up my morning while I'm getting ready for work. ❤💕
It was actually 90 herein North Dakota yesterday and that was a record for the warmest temp this late in the year.
Luv u Guys, never a Dull Moment, Best Wishes 🇬🇧 xx
Today was a cool day to here in Fresno Ca. Only 78° .. Time to wear a sweeter..🧥🧤🧣
I kept scrolling through it because I thought it was an old video being recommended!
That little bottle wouldn't last a week with us. Thanks for sharing.🍾🍷🥂🥃
Randomly found you when checking out you tube, what a breathe of fresh air you are, also so interesting to look at your beautiful Alaska, very different from my Australia 🦘
Season a cast iron skillet wash w/ soap and water rinse dry well. Put ( crisco or coconut oil) oil on bottom of pan bake at 375 degrees ( put tin foil underneath just in case of it drips) for 1 hour turn off oven and let it cool in oven. Don't wash the pan after you use it just wipe out. Once you use the pan you'll wonder why you use any pan. I have 5 pans different sizes love them. No no lid on the pan ugh. Olive oil w/ butter for steaks make sure pan is hot and sear for 3/4 minutes per side. Hope that helps. Blessings to all. 😊🇱🇷
This was my first video of yours and as someone who grew up in Wisconsin I totally understand waking up to winter ❄️ that butcher shop looks amazing and the scenery is so beautiful 🤍
I wish caffeine would work for me…you so cute..love the laugh and that you can laugh at yourself! Snow…yikes! I have made steak in cast iron seat on one side and finish in oven time is based on how much pink you want…turns out great every time
I just started watching your vlogs and I just absolutely love your personality. You seem so real and down to earth.
You always make me smile. No mater how difficult it is. You are special. Thank u...
Jessica - you are so much fun to watch. You are always so happy. I also made vanilla last year and will be giving it out this Christmas. I really hope it turns out as it was my first time. You will love cooking with cast iron when you get used to it, nothing cooks better.
I grew up using cast iron skillet. You will get the hang of it. Keep at it. Enjoy your vanilla.
Hauls are always good 😁
Cast Iron skillets are awesome! I LOVE mine!😎💜🍳
I love the fall colors enjoyed Watching as Always
Your channel just showed up in my recommendations and it did not disappoint! It was a Costco haul video! Anyways much love from Warner Robins, Georgia!!
You are so not alone with the cast iron! I have had mine 2 years and maybe used it 5 times so scary!
Its 2024 May but you popped up so i watched again i always enjoy your videos 📸😊❤❤🎉
Love your vlogs…..keep them coming from your friend in Illinois.
Wow everything is so beautiful
I used to buy "hamburger helper" but I found its better and cheaper to make from scratch kinda brown 1 pound ground beef...boil macaroni and drain add cheese (I use cheese cut from block of Aldi brand-like Velveeta cheese) or easier yet 1 small can "Frito Lay real
cheddar cheese dip) just open can stir it into gr.best and macaroni...Done takes less time and costs less ❤
I season my steaks with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Sear the steaks on high heat, then turn heat down and baste with butter as they continue cooking to desired doneness
Good to see you! You will do fine with your cast iron as long as you don't use soap to cleanse it. The longer you use cast iron the better your food will taste each time. Keep a lite coat of oil on it when storing it to keep it from rusting.
I loved every moment of this vlog. You spread so much happiness and joy into the world. ❤️ Can you share your chicken pot pie recipe? Thanks for sharing
That was so fun!
I love the song choice during drone part, beautiful views. I bought a store brand Stok cold brew so amazingly smooth. It’s in fridge part of grocery store.
Alaska is so beautiful. Love your videos. You are so happy happy ha ha love it. Don't make my own vanilla. Instead with everything going on I would down the Vodka straight. Ha ha just kidding I don't drink. Hope everyone stays healthy. I lost two relatives in the last week here and I'm so broken hearted. We've had so many friends and relative die. Please take care. I pray for you every day. God bless you all. 💜
Love your personality and videos. God bless❣️
Great Christmas gifts. So gonna make some. Loved seeing your Fall colors. Ours here , in SE Pa, hasn't really started, much. Also loved seeing SNOW! Time to get out the Christmas decorations!!! Vickie

Xx
It's too early for winter lol 😅 snow is so beautiful hope we get some in Texas again just not like last year though love y'all God bless
Had not thought about making my own vanilla, but I don't bake often enough to use it. Love your videos.
A lot of people give it away as gifts for the holidays 😊
I just found your channel!!! I love it ❤️❤️❤️
You are hilarious 😂 I love your videos.
Hi Lance! Nice to see you. Nice video.
Hi auntie!!!!!!!! It’s Makayla❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey girl!!! My favorite Makayla!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ve been on a Violett Vlogs/Somers in Alaska kick the past few days. Loving the content! So refreshing in this crazy world. Thank you for putting positivity on UA-cam. Also, loved your hair in this vlog! Very pretty!
I wash my cast iron skillet with hot water and Dawn😁. I can’t just not wash it! Then I coat it with some oil and that’s it 🤣🤣
I am enjoying the nice weather here in southern Manitoba but the flies are driving me crazy, I am almost wishing for frost and snow.
We lost two family friends this past week due to Covid and your video was such a brightening, cheerful presence! Plus, SNOW, is my favorite! ❄️It is still in the eighties in the Midwest… ☹️
Love the videos snow wow but pretty.take care.😊😄🤟
I am always mentally ready for snow. Send it to Kentucky . I love love snow ❄️.
Enjoyed the vlog..you have inspired me to make vanilla..thanks.
Good to see you Jessica, what a perfect little gift ! Also such fun to make! Vanilla extract!💃🍶🎀💌🎁🛍
O MY LORD I WISH I WAS THERE ,I JUST BEGAN CRYING ,WHEN I EVER SEEN THE SNOW , (SNOW AND CHRISTMAS ) MAKES ME HAPPY , YOU LIVE IN MY DREAM PLACE TO LIVE ,EVER SENCE I WAS 12
I visit multiple coffee stands too. It depends on what part of Anchorage I’m in.
Thank you for reminding people to turn on their headlights. There’s nothing worse when it’s snowing and a white car is coming down the road with no lights on. It’s hard to judge how far they are when they do that. Plus with crummy road conditions that could be a disaster.
What a great vlog Jessica… lots of smiles and happy chat :) Hope the family is all doing well.. and staying warm!
I just want to roll in the snow as so hot (temperature from illness and still in shorts and it’s beginning of October). But can’t thanks to being on crutches etc.
So happy to see your video this evening. Yikes! Snow already! Loved the drone footage. Your steaks looked amazing! Keeping you and your family in my prayers!
My brain could not process snow in September. It was a beautiful 82* day in Baltimore today, which has been a nice break from our 95+* days. Cast iron scares me too. My husband is a Professional Engineer, and he did a plant tour in 2019 at a foundry in Texas, and the company rep asked him if I enjoyed cooking. My husband told him it was one of the few things I actually enjoy doing when my health permits. Dude came home with a free cast iron skillet with an added note from the rep that he hopes I'm able to use it and to enjoy. That was an awkward conversation with TSA though. Still scared. 2 years later!
You are so enjoyable to watch😃 love the interior of the butcher shop. The fall foliage was beautiful and it’s way to soon for snow ❄️ once you get used to cast iron you will love. Most restaurants use the cast iron to sear the steaks then they finish cooking the meat in the oven. Just be careful or you will burn your hands always use a thick pot holder 💕💕🥰
Winter comes early
Love the video! Love the enthusiasm that you put in your vlogs! Miss you! I can’t wait to try the vanilla! You make learning new things fun! Love you!
I am sorry that the snow put you in a funk. I live in Iowa & we are having an late summer spurt. It was in the high 80s for us is not usual. But fall will coming around this weekend. Perfect temps low 70s for me, I work at a pumpkin farm. 🍁🍂
I was told that the new cast iron are different than the ones our parents had.
I love making my own vanilla too! I also just use cheap vodka.
I have 2 large bottles (the size you have there) that are always ready. As I use up one of the jars, I refill with vodka and throw in a few more new beans and start using out of the other jar.
That way I never run out and always have plenty to share!🤗
Awesome video👍🏼
God Bless🙏
looking forward to trying this :)
That drone footage was beautiful!! I love your vlogs and you taking us along your day 🙂
Thanks for being so bubbly and such a bright spot in my day ❤️
Just Beautiful
You are such a sweet person! Love your videos! Don’t understand why you don’t have more people watch it! So I’m thinking Fred Meyers is affiliated with Kroger. We have Kroger here in Kentucky.
I love your shirt! I have the same one, or similar one!
Always love and look forward to your vlogs! You are such an encouragement and inspiration. Your attitude towards life is contagious!
We are in the 60s for highs here in Michigan still, but it usually sprinkles a snow by the end of October.
And the coffee shops. I would be right there with you if I could. Yummy!
May God bless you and your family.
I so wish coffee did that for me
I made homemade vanilla for Christmas a few years ago.Sooo good! I used vanilla vodka,to give it a boost! You can top off the older bottle to keep it going.Hugs from Missouri 🤗
New subscriber here from the UK I’ve been watching a lot of your older videos and it’s really interesting to see how you live in the North Pole and I love your food shopping hauls!
Beautiful family
I agree with you about the pan and cooking steaks. Just go for it.
Wow what a nice meat store!!!I most definitely would go there if I lived there.
New subscriber. Have only watched 4 Vlogs so far. Loving your family. It looks amazing there in Alaska. Are you & your hubby from there? I can't wait to go back & watch all of your videos & to see your future ones. 😊
I love following you, your family, and your pet bee on Instagram!!! 🐝
Hi Jessica. It's great to see you. 😊. I am like you when it comes to frying steaks. Grilling is fine but the thought of frying expensive cuts of meat really intimidates me also.🤣. Also, curing a cast iron pan must be similar to curing a wok and both seem to be saying to me," you brtter not mess this up or you will ruin your pans".😱. So thanks for sharing your feelings with us. It made me feel so much better knowing that I am not the only person who has these hangup about curing pans. Your vanilla gift bottles are a great and thoughtful gift. What an innovative idea. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week. 🤗❤🙏🌎
I just made some homemade vanilla a couple days ago for the first time and I am so excited for it to be ready.
New subscriber here😊 Your hair is so pretty!
I love your vlogs and look forward to you posting. I know it takes a lot of time, so Thanks
