I live in AZ, my 98yr old mom is in a memory care facility in TX. Every week we send her a chocolate shake by door dash. She doesn’t remember much, but she loves chocolate.

It’s cheaper to drive there for sure. Y’all have so many followers because you are such a wonderful family and really down to earth and sincere loving people and continue what y’all keep doing. God Bless y’all! LOL
Of course it is always cheaper if you can drive to the restaurants to pickup. However, I guess It would be much better by ordering through the Delivery apps. You can provide some extra incomes to those who really need the money during such a tough time.
We use DoorDash at least a couple times a week, especially with our baseball schedule. Started with the lockdown and 18 months later we are regulars with several drivers. Love it. We eat and keep people employed. Win win. Pro tip, always tip well.
I’m not usually one to comment on videos but I just wanted to say that you guys are the most genuine family on UA-cam. I love that you guys aren’t afraid to show us when you are struggling or going through hard times.
My daughter and her husband used the meal delivery and grocery delivery services when she was pregnant during Covid-19 sheltering in. They were able to support their favorite restaurants that were closed to dining in. It came in handy after baby was born and no time to cook.
I loved this!! My daughter used to deliver for Door Dash. How fun that you delivered to your parents too! You are a blessing!! Congratulations on 200,000+ Followers! God bless you!! ❤❤❤
Our family had Covid at the beginning of 2021. We DoorDashed and also had groceries delivered while we were home. We did DoorDash to change things up and looked at it as a way for people who wanted to to earn some money while we couldn’t leave the house. We have only done it a few times since when we didn’t want to drive the miles into town and wait in line ourselves. Your time is worth the trade off.
I know some people who can't drive or can't leave the house who use meal delivery services. Think injury, illness (you can tell them to leave it by the door), new baby, disability, or can't leave work for lunch but forgot your own, etc. When I was in college the local restaurants put together their own version to deliver to the dorms because even if kids had cars they might be in a far away lot due to limited parking on campus. Some of my students tried to use it instead of eating the school lunch or bringing their own - we had to shut that down because it was driving our front office staff crazy and the delivery wouldn't always happen at lunch times. It is more expensive but sometimes worth it.
Last week during Hurricane Ida, in New York City, there were door dash delivers done by bicycle in the flood. I pray the customers tiped the delivery people above & beyond the normal rate.
I have done door dash and instacart here in NC. I had ran out of a few things and had them delivered via instacart instead of loading up the kids and going to the store for like 3 items. There really isn't Door dash places in my tiny town, but we used it when on vacation. I usually tip on the app and cash for door dash because we were in a hotel. Lol. It is a bit expensive but it is also very convenient to not have to go out and grab the stuff myself when I am homeschooling and have a really busy day.

Try cutting a small onion and lemon. Boil them together until the onion peel is clear. Strain the liquid into a mug and add honey to taste and sip it. This helped my husband's cough when nothing else worked. We spent over $100 on medication and this little $10 concoction fixed the problem. Hi Somers Family. Congrats on 201K subscribers. When we subscribed almost 2 years ago, there were 47K subscribers. Wow ... you all are great! Love this channel. Never used DoorDash or anything like it. Don't even have an i-phone to download the app. Blessings to all.
I used DoorDash a lot when restaurants, etc weren’t open! I’m trying not to use it as much these days; my wallet and stomach are happy about that 😅 Happy Wednesday happy people’s!
My daughter is a nurse and they order as a group for lunch all the time. The cafeteria was closed. It's not so bad when it's shared among the group and they get to eat something different.
UberEat do give you 50% off promotion code once in a while, so I do take advantage of that benefit. You can order a lot like 60 or 70 dollars worth and you only end up paying half, plus 5 to 7 dollars tip for the driver.
I used it all the time, here in Hayward, California you can order groceries from Safeway, Smart and Final( which is sort of like Costco you are limited on some things). Also we can order from RiteAid,Walgreens and CVS.We have a whole variety of restaurants, and stores.Of course my main place to order from is McDonalds😂It is convenient, and it can be pricey at times.I do save on the delivery fees, and subscribe to the Dash Pass which you pay 9.00 dollars a month, which saves you on the delivery fees. That helps me out a lot, cause I use them at least 3 times a week, I am so busy.Your prices sounds about right for the fees.Glad you all tried it, and had fun! Like you said it is a once in awhile treat.Enjoyed the video, and praise God your families are doing well💕
I have never used a delivery service except for groceries. My daughter however users it all the time. Like this morning. She order us Starbucks. Love it
Our McDonalds in Galax, Va. has advertised Door Dash available. I called to see if they would deliver to me. I am not able to use this feature yet because they considered me out of the delivery area. I am in a rural part of Southwestern Virginia. They say over 45 minutes, & I am under 45 minutes 1 way. THAT'S so nice to have. You are blessed!
My favorite family that I have been following for a long time. I have always wanted to go to Alaska but can't because of financial problems praying some day I can
Great video- We have door dash, but a lot of times they will not deliver due to fee disputes. So we have ordered Subway, they charged us for it and driver never shows up to pick up the order due to mini strikes of drivers. So we have to go pick up our own order because they have charged us already (delivery fee, service fee etc). This has happened about 3 times in 4 months so we stopped using delivery services and cook at home or pick up on way home.
If you have those large corporate deliveries, you might want to see if there are any local, co-op type groups. We have no-col nosh here in northern Colorado. Been around for years, but furing the pandemic, as indoor dining decreased, and delivery increased, they hired waiters from their member restaurants to handle the increased delivery load. In general, they make an effort to give back to the community when they can.
Here we have Skip the dishes, doordash & Uber. Prices seemed similar to here but I'm in Edmonton Canada so exchange rate! That's the price of convenience. They're doing groceries here now too but I like to get my own.
There is so much positive energy that comes from your family and videos. You have so many subscribers because of that!!!! We can’t get door dash in our location. Love your videos and blessings to you and your family
I have never used it, live to far away for delivery..I know other people that have, it’s $$..keep up the good work..Thank you everyone for helping them able to get their apparel for us to be able to order and to build a building for their apparel with all your views💕💕
I drive for DoorDash and UberEats and thank you for leaving them tips. It's definitely not for "rich people" but I'm glad there are people that use it. I don't use it: costs too much 🤣
You folks do yeoman’s work and I tip accordingly. I only reduce my tip if the driver doesn’t follow directions or otherwise completely screws things up. Had a driver steal my order of sushi once. Another time, the driver left it somewhere else and never figured where. But 99.99 percent of the time, they knock it out of the park.
@@anaheimskip wow. I always tip well. If the order is messed up I contact doordash directly. I really wish the restaurants would double check the order before closing it up. McDonald's never gets our order right.
My hubby and I are both in wheelchairs. We don't drive so door dash is a treat for us. McDonald's will be on Door Dash soon. It took several weeks before they were added in our area.
Hey there Bert and Jessica, hello from the Deep South (Mississippi). I truly enjoy your videos. You prove to all us Lower 48ers that you in Alaska aren't really much different that the rest of us. Of course we have humidity and heat rather than cold and snow (most years), but you and the kids are just precious. Thanks for keeping us in touch. BTW the closest I have been to your area was in 2008 when I took an Alaskan cruise with Sitka, Juneau and Ketchikan on the itenerary.
Our daughter and her boyfriend teamed up as DoorDash and InstaCart drivers. Once while delivering Sonic to a fourplex residence, a neighbor came out with a baseball bat paranoid that they had been following him. So glad Her boyfriend was there and quickly diffused the situation. The neighbor apologized.
My Grand daughter uses Door Dash when she has sleepovers. AT 2 AM!! My daughter loves it,no more raiding her fridge by a bunch of 16 year olds!! Love your videos!! Love from Long Island,New York! xoxoxoxoxo
See if your Doc will check your sinus, I had to do Laser Vaporization of the Nasal Turbinate to get my sinus cleared up. I have never used that delivery but glad they have a job. Stay safe and healthy.
Drivethru is much cheaper. But it is a luxury on days that you just need some extra care. 🙂 Yes, Alaska is higher than our area, but things are higher there. We did not find out what we were having...'74, "76, "79. Don't know if you could in '79. But we loved waiting to find out. Part of our excitement of having a baby! 💙💗. A fun video! I live off of St Nocholas Dr. I order from Great Alaska Pizza Co., usually a medium pizza and the cost is a little over $20. I usually give a $5 tip. The Thai restaurant near me advertises they use Door Dash. I've never ordered from them.
A friend of mine use to drive for Door Dash or one of those delivery companies. It use to drive hom nuts when he would drive a distance and not get one tip or he would get like $1 after driving a long way deliver a bunch of stuff. We've never used it even during last years craziness. We would just order and go pick it up outside.
I’ve used DoorDash a couple of times when we vacationed in Myrtle Beach , South Carolina. We did not rent a car because of the cost so we used Uber to get around and DoorDash to deliver stuff that we needed. It was great. Yes, we paid a little more but compared to the cost of a rental car, it was cheap. Haven’t used it since, but my coworkers use it all the time.
I am in Kirksville Missouri and I had surgery and ordered Door Dash Taco Bell, 4 los Doritos tacos and it was 18.00 with tax and a tip......Expensive, yes......worth it cause I was laid up? YES! Love you guys.
Door dash is relatively new here. I think we have had it less than a year and you have a larger selection of restaurants than us here in my small town in S.W. Virginia. I haven’t tried it yet. I love your hair andI love your whole family. Your videos are fun to watch. I feel like part of your family. God bless.
I wanted to say thank you for all of your uplifting videos! They help me see that there are such kind people in the world. Congrats to hitting over 200 k subscribers! 🎉🎉
Use door dash a couple times a month when work and life have been tough & we don’t feel like cooking. I wasn’t really surprised by you prices. Hello Nana, hope y’all enjoyed your shakes & fries!!!
I am in KC, Mo and have occasional done DoorDash. Didn’t hear if you have delivery fee and service fee, delivery fee range from $0.00 if you order over $12 to $4.99. Not sure how they figure the service fee but it is more then the taxes. You can do the Dash pass which is a monthly fee of $9.99 for no delivery fee and reduced service fees. Love you channel.
Door Dash has been my best friend since the quarantine. Also we sent our employees home March 2020 and that’s how I would buy people lunch-Door Dash and Uber Eats. Your prices are higher than ours in Florida but really 3 foot longs for 42 doesn’t sound bad…especially how loaded your sandwiches were! For some reason you Somers Family makes Subway look good so I may do that tomorrow!
I'm new here and I won't lie, I am so ready for your next apparel launch. Autumn is upon us in Northern Tennessee and I want something from your collection so bad.💜
We do delivery on occasions from certain restaurants. Sometimes it’s so much easier than dealing with traffic to get to the places. Totally worth it at times👍🏼
We have Uber eats here in the U.K. but not door dash, uber eats very good on a Friday night when you finish work, order a takeout get it delivered, and just chill Infront of the tv .
I use delivery a lot. I also get 7-11 delivered. Though since restaurants and stuff opened here I do more pickup. Those fees add up. But my work schedule is not easy so I do treat myself every so often
There are a few different services like this in our city, in our area we have skip the dish and it's amazing but I try to order with ones when you order a certain amount you don't pay for delivery.
We live in St. Paul Minnesota and for one Arby's beef and cheddar with door dash was $18.00 with delivery fee and tip. We use door dash because we don't have a car and use metro bus system
I did Drove for door dash. Sometimes for deliver your have to order from McDonald’s app, you can also do Pizza Hut too. If anybody wondering how much I made an hour was roughly 20 to 30 dollars and hour. In the Fairbanks area
I'm a newer subscriber. Just love your family. For your celebration of over 2 hundred thousand. Maybe a small give away.. and my favorite thing is when you do acts of kindness, maybe send a special message to random happy people... a happy peoples mini party take us to a special place in Alaska. 🌻 Love from California
Doctor told me throughout my first pregnancy I was having a 7 pound girl. Imagine our surprise when I had a 10lb 14oz 22 inches long boy. Waiting probably would've been a better option for us. Praying for a safe delivery for your sister.

The new family photo above the fireplace is so pretty!
We gave some of our first responder relatives Door Dash gift cards for Christmas last year. They loved them!
Life is always about the little things
Door Dash has been my best friend since the quarantine. Also we sent our employees home March 2020 and that’s how I would buy people lunch-Door Dash and Uber Eats. Your prices are higher than ours in Florida but really 3 foot longs for 42 doesn’t sound bad…especially how loaded your sandwiches were! For some reason you Somers Family makes Subway look good so I may do that tomorrow!
Lyft is in Fairbanks as I used it a few weeks ago
I'm new here and I won't lie, I am so ready for your next apparel launch. Autumn is upon us in Northern Tennessee and I want something from your collection so bad.💜
My husband works for waiter. And we love to use it as well.
Hellooooooo Nana, great to see and hear you!!
We do delivery on occasions from certain restaurants. Sometimes it’s so much easier than dealing with traffic to get to the places. Totally worth it at times👍🏼
You guys are too funny! For us here in New York we are use to door dash etc.
We used door dash when the pandemic first started a lot! Love it!
I love you guys so much!!! Always bringing a smile to my face ❤️ congratulations on surpassing 200k!!!!
Mrs. Chi!!! Thank you so much for being here for all these years:)
This video was delightful! We've never ordered from Door Dash. It was fun to see you do it!!!!
My daughter does delivery for extra easy money. I went along with her one day and all of them were delivered to upscale apartments.
Hi! My son delivers for Door Dash here in Rhode Island. He just recently hit 600 deliveries!😁
I've used both Grub Hub and Door Dash and what you paid was roughly the same as what I paid here in Ashland, Kentucky. LOL
There are a few different services like this in our city, in our area we have skip the dish and it's amazing but I try to order with ones when you order a certain amount you don't pay for delivery.
Fescue grass? .... Looks good!
We live in St. Paul Minnesota and for one Arby's beef and cheddar with door dash was $18.00 with delivery fee and tip.
We use door dash because we don't have a car and use metro bus system
Is your kitchen broke?
I did Drove for door dash. Sometimes for deliver your have to order from McDonald’s app, you can also do Pizza Hut too. If anybody wondering how much I made an hour was roughly 20 to 30 dollars and hour. In the Fairbanks area
I'm a newer subscriber. Just love your family. For your celebration of over 2 hundred thousand. Maybe a small give away.. and my favorite thing is when you do acts of kindness, maybe send a special message to random happy people... a happy peoples mini party take us to a special place in Alaska.

Awesome Vlog Enjoyed Watching as Always
Doctor told me throughout my first pregnancy I was having a 7 pound girl. Imagine our surprise when I had a 10lb 14oz 22 inches long boy. Waiting probably would've been a better option for us. Praying for a safe delivery for your sister.
